The older I get the more I respect her!! I have always listened to her music and I was in my college years when her music first became popular. I don't think I really appreciated how fierce she is back then. Life has a way of running over you, and as you age you become weather worn and wiser. She just embodies that inner strength and fierceness that we all have to take on as life goes on.
I'm just so appreciative that she owned up to the reality that she had to lower the tone rather then use auto tune or lip synch. Thank you for staying a true artist for 20 plus years.
This gave me chills!!!! 😍😍😍remember my days in the 90’s hearing her music 🎶 as getting out from high school her music help me to go in life she rocks !!!!🫶🏼
When she came out I have to admit I was in my late twenty's and not into the 90s music. It took me until about the age of 50 to absolutely fall in love with this woman. First of all she is gorgeous, but on top of that she is wicked smart and has a voice that is like no other. Her music really helped me through my divorce. Finally saw her a couple years ago and was just smitten and in tears.
Alanis has such a powerful voice and is an extraordinary song writer! You can feel her raw energy in this song, one of if not my favorite song by her!!!
i can't believe, I saw a couple comments, that said the "bass was too loud"?!?! That's not even possible. And Alanis, does no wrong in her music. Everyone can have an opinion. No matter how wrong it is, or whether or not, they know amazing music, from crappy sounds, not even worthy of the definition, of the word music. Alanis, you're absolutely amazing! Truly, gifted, and talented. ❤
Haha, the sound guy must like bass! It's interesting listening to all the live versions of this song over the years, so many very cool interpretations and arrangements. Her voice always shines through though :)
Every solitary single live performance is absolutely pitch perfect each and every time, all of this done live and not a flaw amongst them! She is incredible!❤
I 1st realized she had An Overwhelmingly Breath Taking singing Voice and Amazing Fan Connection During the "Jagged" Tour in Summer of 95/96 and it happened during Her Jaw Dropping performance of "Mary Jane" that I became Completely Dumbfounded because at the time All anyone ever knew of Alanis Morissette was she had made A record that Women took to heart instantly labeling her A "Man Hater" but After hearing and seeing her Quiet Down An Audience of 10,000 whom were all Just simultaneously staring and listening to An amazing Singing Voice for the very first time and again all simultaneously Realizing Alanis Morissette was much much more than Some "Man Hater" "One Hit Wonder"......I'm happy I Was fortunate enough to have been A part of that Experience it's almost been 25yrs since then and I still remember it like I just returned from the show
Awesome you got to see that tour! I just saw her first a second time on 9/25. Both of those concerts are so memorable and she is just amazing!! What a feeling to see her live. I will never forget it.
In lieu of recent events in the world today and I don't need to elaborate. I have decided for the next 30 days I'm going to listen to Atlantis Morissette everyday. I need to get that c h i l l e d relax vibe if you know what I'm talkin about. I was born in February of 1959 and it is presently April the 10th 2022. Hello is there anybody out there
like any heart bloodied women i simply wanted an object to crave, but u a r not allowed u r uninvtied an unfortunate journey ....wow!!! strong lyrics there
The ONLY thing I dislike about this song is, I had forgotten about it until recently when someone that I do not respect as a "RU-vid channel" posted this song on their channel a couple of months ago.. which they never post music so I had to listen to it and it all came back and I have been listening to EVERY live version of the song that Alanis has had recorded of her concerts for 3 months now.. and I still haven't gotten sick of it!.. BUT EVERY TIME I HEAR IT NOW IT REMINDS ME OF THE PERSON WHO POSTED ON THEIR CHANNEL THAT I DESPISE 🤪😵💫😂
"Must be strangely exciting to watch the stoic squirm! " "Like any uncharted territory I must seem greatly intriguing" "You speak of my love like you have experienced love like mine before" "I dont think your unworthy, I need a moment to deliberate" "But this, is Not allowed your uninvited!! She kills it with these intense lyrics...and that bass nails it too!
With no disrespect to your earlier music before Jagged Little Pill I'm so glad that you changed.... Your talent for writing and a absolutely amazing voice, you back it up with your beauty!! And damn it girl you are Canadian 🇨🇦😊💞
Alanis can really sing with emotion. You can feel her pain in the words and the way she sings those words. The intricate voice inflections and little pauses in breath. I feel like a jilted lover every time I listen to her.
"Like anyone would be I am flattered by your fascination with me Like any hot-blooded woman I have simply wanted an object to crave But you, you're not allowed You're uninvited An unfortunate slight Must be strangely exciting To watch the stoic squirm Must be somewhat heartening To watch shepherd need/meet shepherd But you, you're not allowed You're uninvited An unfortunate slight Like any uncharted territory I must seem greatly intriguing You speak of my love like You have experienced love like mine before But this is not allowed You're uninvited An unfortunate slight I don't think you unworthy I need a moment to deliberate "
Alanis I will always love you and your music. Please don't give up. I think you still have a lot to sing. You took your deepest emotions the good and the bad and put them out in your music. Don't stop.
She is a great artist and has lots of great songs, but I feel this is the best one and by far my favorite! You can tell the passion in her words and the music!!!
I saw alanis in 2002 and i know people love to enjoy the experience i wish they would just be more thougtful. my experience was tainted by not actually being able to hear alanis's beautiful voice because everybody else seemed to think it was a karoake. thankfully this was one of the few sogs i COULD hear her...and it was mind blowing. I love this woman!
I love this girl! I really do so! I was just a kind the first time I heard about this girl, remember I was 13 years old and since that very important moment in my life I haven't stoped listening to her. Yhank U was that song that caught my attention and made me fall in love with her music.
