The best second thing a both after a S&B particule separator awas a RPM clutch blower fan. Caping the clucht front air inlets, mounting the fan on the middle one and usin the rear as purely a air exhaust. This is the way 😂
Great kit only problem the clips fall the cable, so what I did is put a small piece shrink tubing over the cable slipped the clip in and hit with my heat guy. Now they never fall out and get lost. I can do a belt change in less than 10 minutes and I never lose the clips.
So a quick follow up on this kit, I was on a trip last week and noticed some belt material hanging off the back side of the car, was it from my belt and it ejected out the breather tube or did I pick it up on the trail?? Well I was able to quickly remove the cover and check my belt so easily, it worked great! My belt was five so it came from the trail but wow such a quick way to get piece of mind!
I don't think so, it pretty much just replaces the screws and you can adjust them by turning the pins in and out. I have seen other people use the kit with the protective liner and it worked fine. I have not used it myself though.
Too bad mine allowed too much travel between the cover and the seal, ended up removing the kit and going to a wing-nut style fastener. Had way more dust in there as a result. I got the same kit from Amazon for $35
Randy there seems to be some inconsistencies on the kits, the Alba one I got seals very well, my buddy got a kit off of Amazon and he had the same issue as you. Seems that not all kits are made the same.... the wing nut setup sounds like a good option!
