@@DanTaurusAtheist56 Yeah thanks. I have since learned I got the wrong Albert Reading.I did try to find out by researching his brother but could'nt find anything.
@@DanTaurusAtheist56 To die a snitch? A coward dies a thousand deaths? Was he correct to take the stand in the Krays trial? He said they never respected him, they shot him in the leg. So why did he work for them. Money and a suit. Eire32
I actually don't fucking care whether it's true, he's fucking great story teller very interesting, and comes across very well, though I have to admit I don't really care for Franky Fraser to much.
Well fair point But Albert talks about Frank Albert used acid in Albert's own words this guy was whimpering cause he had acid in the face whoever this guy is But what Albert never said Was how he would have reacted with acid in the face Ye he left that bit out It's a strange old game
I knew Albert back in 1989/90 when his then Missus ran a pub, the Horn of Plenty, a stones throw from Mile End Underground station. And then later when they took over The Merry Fiddlers out in Dagenham, Essex. I just worked the bar. He was a quiet sort, never drank alcohol (took speed though) and always pleasant enough. You'd never guess his reputation by looking at him. I dont hink he mellowed, I think he just got older and wiser. RIP Albert.
Albert's was an evil man, men like him shouldn't be celebrated. But if you where just a normal fella going about your day he would leave you alone. I've heard stuff he's done that wasn't in his book, from the older fellas in East and south London. The old school like Albert had no morals or limits once you started something with them. Still very interesting to listen to though.
Albert was referring to none other than Billy Grimwood , a Notorious Liverpudlian safe cracker From the 1960,s and 70,s . Uncle of Liverpudlian Gangster Paul Grimes (Powder Wars) P.S. Liam, please stop pulling my comments, they are accurate, true and well documented !!
For a man his size, what he lacked in size, he made up with heart and ferocity, like he said, he were'nt proud of the acid incident, but sometimes, a dig ain't sufficient. Violence is lasting and sends a warning to others, who may have their eye on you, it's good publicity in that world, it would make you think twice before wanting a bit of Albert. Who was always fighting for the underdog.R.I.P.
I trust my gut intuition and the vibe I get from the person when I see these interviews. I think he's being honest, he genuinely is sinister and my gut just tells me he's someone I'd want to avoid.
My ex father-in-law was in jail with Albert in Gartree in the 70's . When he recounted jail house stories about Albert he had a nervous laugh . He was no mug himself . Albert Reading was the real deal .
i know hes got those empty sadistic eyes. that passing comment about that type of acid is true, it dose turn fabric into like tissue paper really quickly. i only know cause i worked at a place that used that stuff. even a single small drop on ur arm burns and hurds like hell
Gotta love Mr Reading...proper gangster...yea while I was stomping his head off I ruined my new shoes I bought up London..they was lovely shoes ..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never heard of anyone talking bad of Albert reading, absolutely genuine guy and l would love to meet the man. Reminds me of my uncle Terry of bermondsy , top geezer
He was in the actual church for Ron krays funeral which was HUGE..I actually saw him in the video of it and around that time he was in hard bastards vol1
Love the old cockney gangsters not because of their violence but because they were true Londoners I'm from Wales but spent a lot of time in the east end years ago they were truly salt of the earth people could never do enough for and always looked out for you
Seems like a nice man to me. If you're not from that kind of background it's hard to understand. He wasn't a bully and apparently he would always defend the defenseless.
@@Aisatsana1971 Yup. I know of people like him as long as they aren't bullies and you don't upset them you've got nothing to worry about ! It's the cowards and bullies you've got to worry about. There's plenty of people who will/would stab, shoot, throw acid on you for no reason. I'm making no excuses for the violence but like i said if your from that kind of background it's part of everyday life, doesn't matter if you're a "gangster" or not.
Albert and bobby were good guys villians yes but never took the piss some nicked his dog 1977 he found out who got them over wanstead flats and pulled a few teeth out with a pair of pliers. .he ran a good pub
The Krays came up to Manchester with a view to take over. The station was full of local boys & police. The train pulled in, the top copper told them, stay on the train & go home. They did. In those days the police were bigger villians than the villians.
Albert chinned all the dogs in my neighbourhood with one punch, they were all Yorkshire Terriers to be fair but they can be very dangerous in sufficient numbers. Once saw him bite a Chihuahuas ears off just for glancing at him the wrong way. To the end of his days, Albert was on the run from the RSPCA.
@@brookegaughan5120 A Keyboard warrior is someone mouthing off about their past. Most "men" keep things like this between themselves and their close friends and do not brag about shxt trying to look like the hardest man in the room. I have little respect for all these ex villains mouthing off and in the process crossing the "t" and dotting the "I" for old bill.
@@ARRAM57dimlo alert a keyboard warrior is someone who sits behind a phone or keyboard and chats shit about someone who would smash the fuck out of em face to face not someone mouthing off about there past 😂 dimlo
I think one of his grandsons was on xfactor and when they printed in in the papers he was related his grandson disowned him stopped talking to him. Scumbag
I think my 2 favorite Gangsters here in all of these interviews are Albert Reading and Roy Shaw, they are very interesting guys, would be really interesting to chat to them for hours and the type you would really want as a mate coz nobody would come near you with this pair behind you......sadly both no longer with us 😏
If as he said he had knocked him out, then there was no need to chuck acid on him. I lost a lot of respect for Albert after this. No better than Fraser, the man he spent years calling a coward for his torture methods. Also beating up Fraser was the norm. Foreman gave him a slap as well in a cafe in Little Venice.
Love his history,,what a life from taking spuds home to his mom ,eventually leading to prison those were hard times and Albert to me could have been my mate if I known him ..him in London ,and me in Birmingham....a great bloke in my opinion
Paul stringfella. Lol 😂 nice Albert, Interesting fella . What exactly did they edit Alberts voice out when he was talking about JP .... this is a powerful man
I've seen him shadow boxing on hard bastards .fast as greece lightening .in his 70 s . He seems the sort a guy .who would only clout a trouble maker and a bully
yeah he never picked on anyone, I heard he will treat u as you treat him but loved to bash up bullies .... he said all this when Fraser and shaw were alive they never said shit so must be true
@@No-Radar even though he knocked him out first, spraying acid on him was just evil and twisted. He said he didn't like it being in the book because it made him sound terrible, but then he actually admitted to using acid anyway - he's every bit as twisted and awful as the book made him sound.
ask him why he got shipped out of gartree during the troubles there i met him in solitary confinement in leicester me and him excersided in the well / i do know a man he would not argue with he told me himself the man used to go in the showers and taunt him because of what happened a few years before on the island as for roy shaw no way roy was tough .the difference is its not the hard man you worry about its the dangerous man that can walk behind you and put a blade in you never knowing when a lions king of the jungle but a tigers more dangerous ask some questions why albert got moved in the gartree troubles whos side he took
Did you see the tear the moment inttervier said 'torture!? 5:33* Take another look if you missed it. Your body can't lie his face told a story itself... The moment the guy says it.
What he says is true a lot here saying about the acid . But the guy who he done it to was no good . Not saying it's correct it's not . AR had a lot of respect not many would try it on with him . He didn't cause trouble he stopped it
What Albert left out is the sale of products that went on in his stay in prison it was to do with most of the troubles he had looking after barons and one himself
