this song makes me cry since my husband died i been feeling so sad inside of me, cause we love alcest and the last concert we went, were alcest, i really miss you torstein whatever you are, wait for me, i love you with my whole heart and after all, .... i'm trying my best to keep forward as you wanted, but i can't, i love you, and rest in peace... we will be together someday... 3 years later and I still cannot let you go...
This is the most beautiful song I have heard in a long, long time. There is plenty of badass, brutal, awesome metal out there. But truly beautiful metal is rare.
@@Philiopantheon82 black metal is a subgenre of metal and blackgaze is black metal with some inspiration from shoegaze so yes, not all metal is just a man growling about killing his mother with blast beats and heavy ass guitar
Alcest's music seems to have this ability to amplify whatever emotion I may have at any particular moment. This awesome song is a great example of that.
A faraway prayer carried by the evening wind Animates the leaves in their languorous dance It's the hymn of the old trees, sung for you For those somber forests which are now asleep So many seasons have passed without waiting for us The golden leaves falling to the ground to die Will someday come back to life beneath a radiant sky But our eroded world will remain the same And tomorrow, you and I will be gone And tomorrow, you and I will be gone And tomorrow, you and I will be gone
English: A distant prayer that carries the evening wind Enlivens leaves in their languid dance. It's the song of the old trees, sung for you, For the shrouded woods remain asleep. So many seasons have passed without waiting for us; The golden leaves perish on the ground They will be reborn under a radiant sky, As this weatherworn world remains the same And tomorrow, you and I will be gone.
I loved someone once, so deep that I used to imagine a life together. The love that I had felt so beautiful, it felt so ethereal. However the person I loved so dearly taught me that life was going to be hard to me, which it was. I traveled, met new people, went to the busiest cities bursting with life. Even in a crowd I always felt alone, but that love that was left inside me never died. Years later I realized that love was something else. It was the song of my soul. I never stopped loving, for I love everything in this world. I love the beautiful blue skies, the fresh dew on roses. I love earth's creatures and her fruits. I love the light. Love is you, and love is me. and above all, I love Alcest. 🤍
One of the most brilliant composers of our time. Nothin compares to the feeling you get from listening to Alcest. Can't really describe what that is, but it just stirs up emotions
MendMyWings 7 I don't quite get what he says (because of the effect on the voice") But I think it's about finding a new land, a new time to live fully and completely, as if life was an adventure.
It doesn't matter what mood I'm in. Whether I'm sad, full of joy, broken, or just at a peace.. This song goes with it. It reflects every and any mood I'm in.. And it's so powerful and real. Thank you Alcest, for always being there.
Ma chanson préférée 😊 ce fut un réel plaisir de voir Alcest au Bataclan à Paris le Mercredi 04 Octobre 2017. Cette chanson en live j'en ai pleurer de joie ❤️
I love the sentimentality of the music video, unless I am much mistaken its a boy and the girl he loves growing up (and then) old together, one of the oldest and most beloved stories of all time.
I remember in 2015, being on Magic Mushrooms, listening to this song and feeling that it is like a heroic anthem about defying our impermanence, and finding the most exquisite beauty in a world which will move on, with or without us.
I don't know why, but I cry every time I listen to this song. Maybe because my future wife showed me this song the day we met, and makes me think about how beautiful life can be. Guys, you did an awesome song
I LOVE this song ever since I first heard it in 2013/2014. Since then I have suggested it to a lot of people from various genres and received like 90% positive feedback. Even from people who would not in a 1000years listen to anything remotely metal :-) A good song is a good song I guess...
I feel as though if the world were to just end everything would be just fine and everyone would be lifted in their own world of celestial prosperity and eternal happiness
A distant prayer that brings the evening wind Animates the leaves in their languid dance. It is the song sung in old trees for you, For these dark woods now asleep. Without expecting so many seasons have passed; The golden leaves are going to die down Reborn one day under sunny skies, But eroded our world will remain the same And tomorrow you and I are gone.
