Midir: I’m stronger than you, my def and hp and dmg is higher, no way you can win when you’re so weak Aldrich: lady man, use death *gwyndolin fires a storm of arrows......it was overly effective
@@ixflqr I assume his resistance to it is strong. I dont think its white fire like Lorian probably some form of magic? Or maybe not but it isn't impressive to tank those hits from a powerful beam.
I get the feeling VN might have toyed around with the idea, but the fact that Aldrich teleports so far away, Midir only aggros when Aldrich is actually present, and how ridiculous the arrow attack is made them realize it wasn't necessary.
I'm happy too see you managed to make Aldrichs Teleport Mechanism work outside of his own arena! Now we can see Aldrich versus so many more bosses because he is no longer limted to his boss room!!
Yeah, that was an MVP alongside the arrows. I'm so glad Aldrich can properly teleport now instead of just bobbing up and down in place, warping nowhere.
@Luis Martinez if you're referring to the gael vs bosses video of the other channel who also does videos like this, I believe gael had a health buff because the gael aldrich fought that time was 2nd phase gael full health. And it was conducted in Aldrich's arena.
@@isrealdiaz3899 imagine us as the player having to fight him in that arena. All the projectiles he could launch from a safe distance while we have to manage our stamina.
@@AnthonyDoesRU-vid then u must be those ppl that like the bed of chaos fight and ceaseless discharge...but sry bruh those bosses have like one of the lowest rating in the series idk what u mean but i think its clear here who is the 1 that actually gone hollow :)
Not gonna lie, Midir losing to the arrows WHILE shooting off his cheese laser is probably the best ending possible here. Aldrich just went projectile attack mad on Midir.
@@ShillienKnight90 nah I'd say Gael is stronger. I've done dozens of no hit runs on midir on all ng levels but Gael especially his phase 1 will always get a few shots in
@@Akshay-Gupta nah man Aldrich is pretty cool. Ate so much he became a massive blob that can devour anything and take their shape, and he used it to become a femboy. What a guy, fucking legend. So yeah I always root for Aldrich.
@@cyam1768 Aldrich is probably in my top five non-Dlc boss fights, I mean I get he is a bad guy but like he is cool as holy hell and he has a pretty interesting fight.
@@rushpan93 Midir's fire did TONS of damage to Aldrich, during 2:01 you can see how devastating fire is against Aldrich. Aldrich was always expanding the distance throughout the game play, that is why the flames of Midir never reached him.
@@AnthonyDoesRU-vid If it weren't for the arrows, Aldrich would be screwed. And Midir did win a round here, demonstrating exactly how much of a difference the arrow spam makes
@@AnthonyDoesRU-vid It's his most powerful attack, yes, but his use of it is heavily dependent on RNG, meaning he's almost as likely to not use it at all for an entire fight, or to only use it once or twice. But the other reason I wouldn't necessarily have bet on him is that I just didn't expect his arrows to do so much damage to Midir. It's certainly cool that each individual arrow is so damaging, but I'd never seen that attack used on Midir before this video, so I had no clue how strong it would be against him. I was assuming Midir would be able to tank it much more effectively than he did, just based on how durable he seems to be when fought by the player. So considering those points, I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume Midir would win. Aldrich is a one-trick Pony whose one trick happens to utterly destroy Midir. If I knew that beforehand, I would not have been so confident about Midir winning. I do think it's cool/interesting that Aldrich's one strength is such a perfect counter to Midir, and Midir's strongest attack is almost completely nullified by Aldrich's specific defenses. So it wasn't the outcome I was expecting, but it was still quite entertaining.
@@doomeR_007 by developers doing. Logically an arrow volley to Aldrichs nonexistent face would've lead to an easy victory. He is also sludge and Gwyndolin could make infinite loops of the same hallway and then he could cast the volley and win easily
@@doomeR_007 not that “succesfully” Gwyndolin still alive because of the “Protection of The Gods” and you can still hear Gwyndolin’s voices on Aldrich battle, he still alive... and sufferring and Aldrich never gonna finish eating Gwyndolin and gwyndolin never gonna stop suffering.
@@doomeR_007 not successful, only half done. And the only reason Aldrich even got close to him is because he had become sick and comatose. Most likely because of how weak the first flame had become.
Aaaand now we finally have someone who not only doesn't care about the laser attack but can even kill Midir! All thanks to Gwyndolyn, Aldrich.. All thanks to him....
Midir Vs. Everyone: look, I move almost as fast as a Bloodborne boss and I can destroy easily your HP! Midir Vs. Aldritch: Laser beam not working anymore, claws useless, nerf that bow plz.
Aldrich's magic and dark absorption are high. Only the fire and physical attacks do much to him, but he teleports around so much its hard to keep him in range for them.
@@milesdavila5363 Fire pyromancy makes the fight a cakewalk, and his lightning resistance isn't particularly good either so going full Zeus on his ass is fun. Funnily enough, both of the best spells you could pick up for either strategy can be found within a short walk of each other.
Only way it could be more fucked up is his body behaving even more like the slimes (intensified protection against PHY). He already has the Dark DEF you would expect for his origin (while jobbing to Fire). Eating the last of the pretend deities (Light beings) gave him the delightful option of sorcery (warping and arrows in particular). Easily better at it than the real deal ever was. Had he, in lore, been able to face and absorb this foe (so suited at killing), that issue with being squishy would disappear (making him pretty well rounded).
Nah nah nah. Darkmoon Longbow weapon art. Consumes a f*ckton of AP, and fires an arrow that spawns a homing cloud of arrows above the surface of impact (or upon reaching max distance). The damage dealt is purely magical, as to give great magic barrier an actual use outside of the Aldrich fight.
It looks like Aldrich decided to kill and devour Midir so that the Devourer of Gods would gain the Dark-Eater Dragon's power for himself and grow even stronger.
Before the fight: "Uh, he's Devourer of GODS, not dragons, he ain't winning." After the arrow rain: 😲 It's extremely rare to see a game that makes area attacks properly hit larger enemies more times.
@@zim6242 not by much tho. By the last phase gael would be low. It just depends on their AIs. If it was 4 real people using their gear they’d most likely win.
Lore implication- Gwyn fed humans to Midir to remove Aldrich’s food supply in order to prevent him from becoming too powerful who consumed the Dark in order to harness the power of the Deep. With gwyn dead aldrich could retaliate by consuming Gwyndolin and after dreaming of Dragons now he can retrieve the corrupted souls Gwyn stole from him using Midir, and even consume dragon flesh.
People are saying how strong Aldrich is when all those abilities are Gwyndolin's. Never forgot Aldrich is the sentient, flammable piece of shit controlling him. It just shows much stronger he became after the first Dark Souls.
Gwyndolin became the king of Anor Londo and Irithyll during the time of DS3. He managed to make the once sun worshiping anor londo into a moon worshiping one.
Aldrich:" Wanna see me destroying a powerful elder dragon?" Me:"Huh, yeah sure... like that would ever happen." *Aldrich proceed to shoot showering arrows* Aldrich:"Wanna see it again?"
Midir tasting his own medicine- he now knows what it feels like to have to keep running to the complete opposite side of the arena as players do when they fight him.
Midir : "Did you think those puny light could even flinch me ? Watch this !" *Midir use laser beam* Aldrich : "I know but they can." *Spam mtfkn arrows* Midir : "Cheater."
I didn't think you'd even place positions for Aldrich to port to in Midir's arena. Once I saw that, I figured Aldrich had this. Plenty of room to move around means more opportunities to cast arrows. They aren't considered the strongest all around attacks for no reason. Although depending on the opponent, Midir's super laser and the Judicator's arrow summons can match it.
I was expecting it to be one of those "how much health buff is needed for x to beat y?" Then aldritch blotted out the sun with his arrows and forced the darkeater to fight in the shade.
