Lets face it. If your a baseball fan. You know MLB commissioner had a chance to stop this years ago when McGwire/Sosa & bonds era happen. He is to blame for everything.
He got the longest non lifetime ban ever. They over suspended him and screwed him outta 700. He didn’t do anything palmeiro Tejada McGwire or bonds didn’t do.
@@oiram48say what u want, but the guy was generational. Power hitter, was an all time great SS, made the transition to 3RD seamlessly with the yanks. Now as a person was he weird? A liar? Not cool? Probably so, but his game is/was amazing. And I would say in retirement he’s way more likable and has admitted his faults, owns up to it. And has made amends with everyone in New York even Jeter
Absolutely! "I love New York" "My daughters love New York" "I missed my daughters 9th birthday because of this" Feel bad for me everyone...even though I was definitely injecting PEDs and then saying I wasn't. lmao You never fooled me A-Rod.
@@Joestradamus The vast majority of professional athletes are on steriods. Baseball just decided to destroy itself because of some misguided moral crusade. Now TRT is legal in the MLB.
Lying 101. Lack of Taking Responsibility for Yourself 101. First Alex originally said he never met Bosch. Then he expects people to believe his modified story once we know that is not true. Then it's Selig fault he's getting suspended.
Arod took steroids & so did a lot of other baseball players. Look at his stats. A lot of those other baseball players aren't even close. You still have to hit the ball. Very talented at his prime, belongs in the hall! Point blank
... The only hall A-Roid belongs in is the hall of shame. Yes he has impressive stats......... Who wouldn't taking steroids. It's obvious A-Roid took that stuff from the very beginning of his career. On his 3rd year in baseball, which was his first full season as a hitter A-Roid hit 36 home runs, drove in 123 runs with a 358 batting average. That's not normal when you think he was only 21 yrs old when he did it. A-Roid admitted taking it twice. Also, when Derek Jeter was negotiating his contract to get a lot of money A-Roid said that Jeter should not get paid the same amount he got because Jeter didn't put up big numbers, like homeruns. It turns out Jeter WAS a better hitter than him when A-Roid didn't get juiced up. Both A-Roid and Pete Rose should never be allowed into the hall of fame.
I'm a die hard Yankee fan and appreciate what A-rod did for us in '09, but this argument is complete fallacy. If steroids don't give you a advantage, then why would anyone take them?
+ExclusiveLM who taking steroids wouldnt have impressive stats ? Try about 90% of the people that took them. Pretty sure Melky Cabrera, Evereth Cabrera, Jesus Montero, and Jhonny Peralta werent putting up A-Rod's numbers.
Notice how A-Rod can't help it but smile every time Mike Francesa mentions his huge legal team or how money he makes. It is sad to see how he is controlled by his money.
@@jamiealexander7665 If money is everything in your life then you don't have a life. Everyone who has money knows that although it can buy many temporary pleasures it does not quench the thirst for meaning in life.
When i'm having a bad day, i watch/listen to francesa clips to laugh and cheer me up,lol..Anyway, google/yotube "israel truck bombs on 9/11"..Just planting a seed here bud.. Then you'll understand who did 9/11.. Remember when mike and chris brought up loyalty oaths in this country after 9/11?
like him or not he bleeds yankee blue, and played a very significant role in winning the 2009 world series. He's a champion and will be forever be a part of the championship team. I believer if he ever go into the Hall, he's going in as a yankee
Well you won't EVER have to worry about that because A-Rod will never, ever sniff the HOF. If he did, I'm sure it would be as a Yankee but now there is zero chance. Look at Palmerio with 500+ HR's and 3000+ hits, 2 magic numbers for induction, fell off the ballot this year for not receiving enough votes to stay on the ballot.
yeah. after all those years you got that one championship after breaking the bank for texiera, damon sebathia ect..lol you should of had more rings after a rod joined the yankees. what a joke.
He bleeds Yankees blue 😂 I haavnt talked to one Yankees fan who actually liked Arod. He’s a flat out cheater, no chance for the Hall of fame, Barry bonds never got caught either 🤷🏻♂️
@@jamesps7515Ok well I’m a Yankee fan telling You I Loved ARod, and to say that He bled Yankee blue is accurate: -He was a MAJOR Star BEFORE coming to The Yankees..He wore #3 and went to the only team who wouldn’t allow Him to wear it…He was an ALL STAR Shortstop, and went to the only team that wouldn’t allow Him to play short…..so He gave up His number, His position, and His spotlight as it was “Jeter’s town” all to win a Championship with the Yankees, and thanks to Him, they did. He carried the team on His back in 09’ and won 2 MVP awards in His tenure. Do You think anyone including the almighty captain would have given up everything that ARod did just to play for the Yankees or any other team? I’ll save You the time, the answer is no. Say what You want about the mistakes He made, He was still a great player and despite what many are too stupid to see, a great Yankee as well.
The longer the Yankees go without winning a championship the higher Alex‘s stock goes up. People will forget the year-long suspension and will remember that he delivered the only Yankees championship in a period between 2001 and 2023
Years later, the way this seems to me (and did to an extent back when it happened) is that this wasn't about A-Rod's guilt or wrongdoing. Which is to say, I don't think that is why he was so angry. Instead, my take on it is that A-Rod was angry because he was being singled out, obviously, and the means employed to 'catch' him were so over-the-top in terms of effort. It was as if it were completely personal on MLB's part to wreck his career, even though there were dozens of other players for whom they could have expended the same effort, yet didn't.
The sick joke of the entire situation is that this guy never really needed juice in the first place. He was on a level entirely different from other human beings since the day he could throw a ball. Look at his physique/form from the year right before he entered the pros. A-Rod was THE baseball specimen: the textbook definition of one man w/all five tools. This entire saga (the denials, in particular) ultimately illustrates what happens to a person when he/she is driven by ego and the search for greatness in a domain governed strictly by stat production.
Sick City yeah and the question is why? hes done so much to hurt the franchise, what is the point? all for 1 good playoff appearance and a bunch of others that he disappeared in?
***** his butt hurt, sounds like a Redsox fan...cuz i bet if Alex was in your team you would support him too bitch....and as Bosch said "everyone is on PED" so believe it cuz why only believe that Alex is on PEDs.
Christopher Mejia You're even dumber than you look. I'm not a Red Sox fan you provincial, territorial troglodyte. Yes, they are ALL on PED's, even some of the players on my favorite team. All cheaters. But only ARod stood up & said "F--- YOU" to Major League Baseball. That's why they went after him. And before you go defending him just remember Alex wouldn't get out of his limo to piss on you. Good day, sir.
I have been a BB fan for 70 years, and know the entire history of BB. Selig is the worst commissioner EVER. He is a disgrace to the human race and is the person most responsible for the decline of MLB.
He was horrible. And you have imbeciles in the comments acting like he did something good and is some kind of honorable leader. Brainless, surface level thinking. 😂
The obvious reason he was the only player of 13 to fight is ,he was the only one with the hall of fame and lifetime records on the line !? Now he’s a sports announcer for MLB! LOL
I remember this and it was the most bizarre interview in sports history. A-Rod constantly leveraging his daughters to deflect from his guilt proved he was a sociopath to the 2 people who still had any doubt.
@@yeeerrrrrrr These guys have nutritionist, trainers , supplements. There is a huge difference between over the counter supps & steroids and hgh which is illegal to cheat and get better numbers. you are clueless
Greg and Rob He used steroids for 3 of the 10 years in that timeframe though so your comment makes no sense... But yeah he probably did them his entire career lol
LMAOOOOO arod just admitted to everything he denied on this interview with francesa ,,,i hope francesa tears him a new one tomorrow, he has no choice but to now
If I were Mike, I would have been really pissed that this guy and his lawyer used me to peddle their BS...I remember at the time, really wanting to believe Alex myself....
A-Rod not the problem if he was caught with a bunch of players. Commissioner Bud Selig has been in charge of 20 years of steroids. MLB has the easiest drug tests that doesn't draw blood like Olympics. This new dealer started supplying in 2010. Think he's the only dealer in the country? How many of your friends use drugs?
Totally agree we all know AROD used steriods to think he was involved again is disgraceful but it's more about Bud Selig trying to save his own ass for how he has dealt with steriods. Guys still know ways to beat tests are you kidding me so we have no idea who else is using. Nobody is going to condem AROD for what he has done but none of this should of happened and it didn't have to happen People don't like how he was the highest paid player in the game but is he really any different than any of the other guys Sosa, Bonds,Clemens, Palmerio, Mcguire the list goes on but this suspension by Bud Selig is not a win no matter what he thinks. I think it's dispicable he is sueing the Players Union who defended him while the head had a brain tumor the whole thing is a mess.
SonicsJoe2013 why? He cheated. Griffey is the real icon in your city and he never cheated. Griffey was the one who saved baseball in seattle. Idc that arod has better numbers than griffey jr. Griffey is better by a mile and one of the greatest of all time.
When it comes down to it, they're trying to run him out of the game. The Yankees don't want to keep him on the payroll because he's too much for little production results. Who's to blame? Put it on the Yankees for giving him the amount. But hey, he's gotta put this on himself too for accepting such a big expensive contract for the long term into his late 30s. All this crap started with the Rangers.
every time i hear about some PED use i think about how great the old players were, mantle, berra, maris, mays, aaron, rose, bench. they played in larger parks for far less money, no drugs and were better - gave the fans their money's worth. Too much money involved for the game to get better.
looking back this in 2019 man i thought A Rod was innocent but he came clean. he understands what he did and i know NYY fans hate A Rod i can't speak for everyone. but A Rod he shouldn't have done PEDs he has all the talent since his rookie season in SEA. from there it should have played out as a HOF career.
What a mess this all was. I saw this live and of course we know now this was all lies. Not sure what Mike got for doing this. Anyway, hats off to Arod because he is the comeback kid. Who knew he would EVER come back after this. His PR team deserves every award there is.
Don't we go after the dug dealers and not the users.MLB went with Bosch who gave the drugs to players and to children yet A-rod is the bad guy. So what's next we use a bank robber to catch a guy who cheated on his taxes.A-rod should have gotten 50 games not 162 which isn't part of the JDA an that evidence in a federal court would be thrown out. This is a good link-grantland.com/the-triangle/defending-a-rod-breaking-down-the-rodriguez-appeal/ I'm not A-rod supporter but he did get a raw deal and the Players Association should have never agreed to those terms.
Arod did use steroids during his 3 years in Texas and he admitted it but he was accused of using steroids during the 2012 and 2013 seasons which is false and to prove that, mlb tested arod hundreds of times and he came out negative all of those times. The commissioner is just a racist individual that did not want to see a minority break records, arod without doubt could of broke all the hitting records and he is undoubtedly the best of all time so all you ignorants that want to hate on arod, know the facts first and btw arod admitted using steroids so the mlb let him play the sport he loves, they did arod really dirty but that’s how life is dirty. AROD IS THE GOAT
Alex Rodriguez what are you smoking bro. Have you lost your mind. It seems to me this guy is not in touch with reality. I don't even know if I should be laughing or feel bad for him. I'm glad he did not murder anyone or else his silly excuse might just lead him straight to the electric chair. Dude we the people are not that dumb. Guilty or not your spin on this issue is so elementary.
Fat Francesa is furious *how* MLB got the dope on Alex, but doesn't care if it's true. He's furious how MLB paid cash for the info, but doesn't care that it's true. He's upset that MLB didn't file the proper IRS report that a cash transaction that large was done, but not that the information gathered true. He's furious that MLB dealt with drug dealers to nail Alex, but doesn't seem to realize that if you want illegal drugs to cheat with, it's a drug dealer that'll supply them. He never mentions that A-hole won't talk about steroids under oath. One thing is for sure:Francesa knows what A-Rod tastes like.....
