Top 50 in points per game is a HoF stat for sure. And 76 goals in 77 games is just out of control. I know it doesn't work that way, but I'd put him in just for that year.

It always seems that the HHOF has an anti-Devils, and anti-Slavic, and anti Russian player sentiment. This man was a phenomenal player and defied a lot of odds, and exceeded at the highest level of hockey. HHOF Guy in my eyes.

biggest HHOF crime was not inducting Burnsy while he was alive. Even Mogilny omission pales in comparision to that

I honestly agree with you runnin ace. Lex mogilny should be inducted. I wasn’t born when he was playing but from what I witnessed he was a fuhking demon. I think you should wait 2 more years bc didn’t some of the players have to wait a long time to get inducted.

The reason why the rangers didn't win more than 3 at the time was because of Regional Drafts.. back then a player born in Canada would automatically go to the Canadiens or Maple Leafs. rangers did not have the best players to choose from. But I'm sure you knew that.

@@runninwiththedevils 100%. He was the best player to burst into the league in the 1990s. He could do everything. *He's 3rd best points per game player of the 1990s behind only Lemieux & Gretzky.* That alone is enough for me. 3rd best face off winning % also. He could change the entire game without touching the puck. He could shoot, pass, check, fight, win face offs and he played hard. I think because he didnt have a perfect story book career his greatness has been forgotten a little. The Flyers never did anything for him after the LeClair, Desjardins trade. He never had an elite goalie, never had any depth, never had a 2nd line besides Brind'amour. They struggled for years to replace Renberg at RW who they shouldn't have traded to begin with. Never had a defensiveman besides Desjardins. His major concussions were considered little "headaches" and next thing ya know the Flyers remove the "C" from his Jersey on live tv just to insult a player that nearly died for his team.. Meanwhile teams like Detroit & Colorado win a couple of cups each and they go out and add talent like Brett Hull, Teemu Selanne, Dominik Hasek etc to their existing dynasties. Most entertaining player I've ever seen. He was must watch tv.

@integrity101 I can accept him as a HOF'er, but First Ballot?!? ABSOLUTELY NOT. He was a great player. He never lived up to his potential. Did not have 500 Goals. Did not have 1,000 points. Did not win a Cup. Did not even play 1,000 games. I just cannot grant him FIRST BALLOT status for a Hart Trophy and some big seasons....
