I don't know if we can call it consistent yet. we have seen it plenty of times in training and practice last season but never worked out in competition. She is clearly capable of it physically, just needs to have a right mindset.
@@hannibaljustincase9985 they will tank her components, rightfully so but watch her components rise with the difficulty. She is an amazing athlete and could very well win it all with those insane jumps but still feel there should be two judging panels. Wish her a healthy season.
That 3A looks clean! It's kinda funny how Trusova went from 3rd of the 3As to now the one to beat. I guess timing is everything. Poor Kostornaia, she peaked at the wrong year. Can you imagine if you are Valieva.... last year the IT girl for gold. This year, not so much. The fact that Eteri is out here with Trusova at this second tier competition tells you who she thinks will bring her the gold. Let the sweep begin.
So true, I remember when Eteri wouldn’t even give Trusova the time of day when she Sasha kept having a bad season with the GOT program .. crazy how the tables have turned
You're not quite right saying that it's Sasha Eteri is considering her favorite. First of all she came to support her daughter Diana Davis in ice dancing))) Besides, Tutberidze's experience shows that she always prepares several favorites (in terms of sports competition, not her personal preferences as she has none) for each season. Because you can never count on just one. The sport is a tricky thing. There are ups and downs, injuries, visa problems, covid isolations etc. Sasha's jumping abilities are beyond limit. But she is human, just like Kami and Anna and other girls. So Eteri will make sure that 3 or four girls are out there at their best level before the Olympics.
@@gavrgavr9861 no but Sasha is her favorite.. You can see how she reacted after each girl's routine on test skates.. Some of them made a simple mistake and eteri reacted like "😶😐" but when Sasha made a mistake in her 3A she was joking with her so..
I used to be upset when Trusova would win by virtue of her quads and not have any artistry at all but now she’s taken it to another level and I can’t help but be in awe of her. I feel like she’s been on a journey this past year, switching coaches and then coming back, and now it looks like she’s finally starting to get where she needed to be inside of her head to win the Olympics. Time will tell if she can finally conquer her competition issues this season, but i get the vibe that it’s more possible for her than ever before. Excited to see if she finally lands the 3A in competition here.
That’s why she disclosed the statement with an “If” in the beginning. And it’s a fact. They can outstage Sasha all they want in the second mark, but she’s gonna obliterate everyone with her TES, IF she lands all her quad jumps + 3A even with bare minimum GOE.
The moment you think „ah nice 3A, looks quite strong, but is it consistent?“ and than she just do a random 3A in combo out of nowhere. So excited to see her in competition!

@@praetorrus not to say, I'm pretty sure choosing Olympic team in Russia will be more complex than last Olympic circle- I doubt they'd go only by grand prix and Europeans
@@praetorrus that makes so much sense, her nerves is the only thing that can mess up Sasha in competition and this is smart of Eteri to help her get into the groove and boost her confidence, even more so her being there with her.
kamis whole thing is the fact that she has the axels and the quads. if trusova lands these 3As cleanly, better than kamilas nonetheless, and if valieva keeps making mistakes then yes, its over for her. but still, hey, in that case over means olympic silver soo
@@camillewagneralves3319 thing is kamila has landed multiple 3A whereas Sasha hasn’t landed one. They both have nemesis jumps. Kamila hasn’t landed 4S and Sasha hasn’t landed 3A. It’s actually pretty even if they both can stabilise those jumps sasha ( 3A in SP, 5 quads) vs. kamila ( 3A in SP, 2 3A and 3 quads in FP)
Kamila is cool figure skating, but she is too young for gold Olympic medal. For her motivation maybe better don't get Olympic gold in this season for continue her competition some years more. Anyway winner will be the most strong and powerful. Good luck to all girls to skate their program CLEAN 👏
Wow, that looked rotated to me. And I spotted Eteri at the boards. I love that she is doing these insane combos while the second tier US ladies can barely land a triple triple combo. Just a weird juxtaposition.
i think eteri is sending her to these competitions to boost her confidence, for her to trust herself and her abilities. team tutberidze is really betting on her this season AS THEY SHOULD
@@kimchi98541 I was referring to the other women on the ice warming up with her like Paige and Sierra. I like both of them but by second tier I meant those who are not Olympic team candidates.
