Kawa Coffee, Paris - ClimateStory Episode 17 with Alexis Gagnaire (Founder)
"Speciality coffee with a sustainable twist"
Paris is home to some of the best food and wine in the world. But the city also houses one of the best sustainable coffee shops in Paris!
In 2016 Alexis and Antoine founded Kawa - a speciality coffee roaster and retailer in the heart of Paris, France. A great example of green entrepreneurship.
In this episode, we explore what makes Kawa one of the finest coffee roasters in Europe, and the major ecological reason they decided to start a sustainable coffee company. We also learn about Panama Geisha, a highly coveted coffee from Panama.

Very Interesting ! But what is the coffee bag material at the end of the video ? It's alunimium...... 🤔. What a shame... Green washing company again 👏👏👏

You know… after visiting 17 ‘green’ companies, I have to say the truth is more nuanced: in a nutshell, yes, there are some founders who do it for business reasons. Absolutely. And there are others who are genuinely passionate. Also true. And there are some in between. Vast majority. But none of them a greenwashing - that term is generally reserved for large companies with massive footprints sponsoring a vegan hotdog cart. Thanks for your comment though, I really do appreciate all opinions on this channel. Rishad
