Thank you Neil. You keep posting these great videos but, just remember eventhough only a few people comment many more of us enjoy them. Very informative and really well edited. 👍
I completely dismantled a Giulia inside and out literally right down to a bare skeleton. I have to say that the Giulia is worlds apart from previous Alfa’s. They are fantastically engineered and a joy to work on
Oddly enough...I bent the nose of my Alfa 75 exactly thirty years ago. The body shop I took it to (someone I knew) had worked on Alfas since the 1960s. He wasn't looking forward to mine from his previous experience of poor panel quality. When I collected the car he remarked on how well made it was and how the panels that came from Alfa were good quality and fitted perfectly and that it was a very pleasant surprise. I have to say he did a perfect job. Wish I still had the car !
I went from a 2016 Giulietta to a Giulia, totally agree, it's such a nice place to be! Love the interior on mine! So comfy well thought out/screwed together
Thanks Neil for that Video. I also saw these type of alignment issue on Audi too. I‘ve the feeling the carmakers are reducing costs for robust bumpers and related fixings more and more. But also the temperatures can have impact to such alignment issues. If bumpers or facias are too hot or too cold they are fitting more worse. I love your videos and wish you all the best for the Christmas Time. All the best from Germany 😃👏
Thanks Neil, I was following a couple of pages from the Alfa workshop manual on bumper removal I downloaded but was stumped, it made little sense, within a few minutes into your video and all was clear! I'm fitting a radar guard to foil car theft through the radar wiring. As an side I have owned my Giulia from new, never been bent, but there has always been a small misalignment on the O/S bumper to top of the wing.
Here here, I agree with Hamzah, your work is excellent and I always look forward to your next addition, from an Australian Alfisti, keep the vids coming…. All the best for Christmas to you and your family, Cheers
Well done for uploading. Not too many rum and cokes then. I need to do this on the GTA. Bonnet touches on off side and the sidelight bulbs need changing.
Many thanks for another great video Neil. I've never removed these plastic type bumpers before, so this was very informative. It also helped me to understand what needs to be done & in what sequence when I get round to doing a similar job on my car.👍
Great video Neil. I had a similar issue on my GT. the gap around the headlamp on the near side was wider compared to the off side. Thankfully with the help of one of your earlier videos I was able to detach the bumper and realign the headlight unit.. bit of a fiddly job and seems to be a common issue going back to the 156
I had exactly the same issue on mine when it was new, it went back in under warranty and they replaced the brackets holding the bumper to the wing and all was well after that
Merry Christmas Neil . Thanks for the very useful video . The last Italian bumper i had off was a Panda 100 one on a car i owned what got damaged after a motorist engaged reverse on her automatic rather than drive and backed into me. I had to replace the whole bumper due to the damage it caused . it seems that more modern bumpers are more flimsy & get twisted more from a knock than say 10 years ago .
Good day Neil. I’m a new subscriber from Australia . Love your videos. Just in the process of replacing clutch and flywheel on my 2006 159 2.4 tdm Your video on the subframe removal was very useful to me. Any chance on a video on the gearbox removal ?😁
Merry Christmas Neil, keep up the great videos. Hopefully those allen headed screws under the bumper don't rust as badly as they are on our Giulietta. Removing them for a bloody *air filter* change is a pain.
My dealer screwed up my bumper exactly the same way. Bumper needed to be removed for servicing and now has terrible 3mm wide gaps where the bumper and fenders meet. They are trying to brush me off with that it's all ''within spec'' but I have the pics from before and after to prove my point. I think they were too rough removing the bumper and broke off some of the clips holding it and don't want to admit it. Any idea what the part numbers of these clips holding the bumper are? I figured I might as well try and fix it myself..
Hi Neil iv got a guilia, and the main headlight bulb has gone do you need too take the bumper off too change the bulb if you can change just the bulb that is 🤔🤔🤔
