Great Fangio intro. Remember what Fangio said in that movie? "When a car runs smoothly and the engine sounds harmoniously, the noise is transformed into music, the driver is like an orchestra director".
Totally agree. I had an '87 Alfa 75 2.5 V6 iniezione. Same engine, floorpan etc, but not quite as pretty. But still a handsome car with a sonorous exhaust note.
Feel at little sad now. Had a GTV6 from 1985 to 1996,,,,and did a whole journey from Bolzano to South France over nearly all passes ( Italy/Switzerland/ France back to Germany via Geneva). This sounds, will remain forever in my brain. Glad I found this footage!
I have a vid of me doing Guanella Pass in Colorado on RU-vid! I drove an 82 Balocco, and the vid above sounds like he had the serious tall gears like me! You can hear on my first hairpin corners, I was shifting into 1st, and seldom got out of 2nd. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g_Ks5hCRaUY.html
Everyone who ever drove an Alfa will forgive all the small imperfections they have. The GTV was simply a dream car back in the 80's. I never had so much fun than driving this car. :)
@@bugattieb110ss Perhaps that was your experience with the GTV6 at the time as they were kinda temperamental but for me being a 16year old at the time, there was really nothing better.
Tempi Passati ... I had the privilege to own a 1983 model with a finish in Nero metallic .. from 1988 to 1992 .. and living in Munich she and myself became regulars on the old Brennero road en route to the concert hall of the Gardesana Orientale which I preferred over the Occidentale for its less alpine stance .. being the adorable beauty she was I always took her eccentricities on hardy discs, brake booster, frozen doors like Marcello took Sophias .. when she was in her elements I could read it by the light grey to white powder coating of the exhaust pipe . well, we split and I was left a story telling bachelor ;)

Instant like for this video. The Stelvio pass is my favorite, I've been going to Solda every august for the last ten years and I enjoy soooo much all those hairpins up and down, even if "only" in my Alfa MiTo 1.6. When you uploaded this video I was probably trekking around all those beautiful mountains Cheers from Italy!!!!

Thank you ! such a small world we live in , isn´t it? By the way , the most fun i had in mountain roads has been with small ,low powered cars, so the MiTo is more than appropiate for this road (and so beatiful) ! Cheers🍀
My dad used to own one when I was a little kid. I just knew it was something special and now I see it and hear it and I just want to go back to the past and drive it!
Great video post of a superb V6 (Busso) Alfa…..glorious for any dedicated Alfisti or petrolhead. No electrical appliance will ever stand in the same league.
I had a 1984 GTV6 with factory air con back in the late Eighties. It had the later style mock Recaro interior and dashboard that had been introduced for the LHD market some time before but didn’t come to the U.K. until the slightly facelifted cars with grey painted lower side panels arrived in the U.K. in ‘84. The U.K. importers had, from ‘82-‘84, converted the RHD cars’ dashboard from the original strange, and hated by the motoring press, central-dialled version to the “cobbled together” version to keep the car competitive until the later-style dashboard was phased in for ‘84. I should never have sold it although, in my defence, I did replace it with a 164 3.0 (which at least had the same magnificent Busso V6 engine!). That Busso V6 engine has got to be the best sounding engine ever!

He disfrutado mucho viendo todos tus vídeos. 👍
Beautiful, my father had one of these cars, he was a spirited driver. Sadly didn't get to go out in it many times but have clear memories of the engine soundtrack and exotic feel of the car. Always wanted one. Thank you for sharing
Great video, pure acoustic joy! I have driven Stelvio in a nearly new Boxster S and another time in an old banger Vauxhall Cavalier on the Czech Wrecks rally, very different experiences 🤣
I got a Busso myself. An 2004 3.0 166 and this sound and harmony are still there. And I so desperately want and need to take it to the Stelvio Pass. It's a long way away from Poland, yet I've been working on her to do the trip some day. I hope next year. Keep your fingers crossed for me please 🤞🍀🇮🇹
That little chirp of the horn to let people know you’re coming around the corner. DID THEY NOT HEAR THE GLORIOUS THUNDER OF THE ENGINE???!!! LOL. Love the video.
What engine do you have in your Gt? I have a GT with 1.9 jtd and as a daily driver I enjoy it, not any issues for now. However I have a stiff clutch but it's like that since I bought it and have done 5.700km with it since then. If you have same engine and a stiff or hard clutch pedal, can you point me out what is the cause? Thanks.
@@philipgligorov5848 I have a 2.0 JTS, I have had it for 7 years now, yes the clutch is heavy; but the car is great fun to drive. Its appeared in a few of my videos. Its what I used to drive up Cheddar Gorge at the end of my 'Alfaholics Open Day' video.
BRAVO !!!

There is a difference between finding and go looking for it! 🍀 You have to be there before others haven´t even gotten out of bed 😂 That's the number one rule here and everywhere if you want to enjoy a safe session of spirited driving !
@ I bought a super seven during lockdown last year which I just finished restoring and I cant wait to finally drive this car on all the epic roads around Europe. Northern spain is actually on the number one spot! Even before finding your videos I was seriously considering buying an Alfa after the Seven 😄
I had a chance to visit Passo Stelvio this August but i was with wrong car(( Now i bought 156 GTA, maybe next summer i go there to make some noise in mountains !!!))
Nice classic ALFA sound and car. Had a 69 ALFA spider I kept for over 40 years that was highly modified....sold to make garage space for a 2015 4C Launch Edition that is also modded. Also had a 67 ALFA GTV race car for SCCA racing in the US. Love ALFAs. Stelvio pass is epic drive....
my Lord what a beautiful sound. I really wish the powers that were/ are at Fiat, did more for the gorgeous Alfa brand. There really isn’t anything quite like an Alfa….
Grazie e complimenti ancora!
I remember when you come in La Spezia to wash the car I was washing mine Working van , nice too see you again remember to rev that busso!!!!!

I owned a Mito QV 170hp and it was a fantastic car to drive in the Patagonian region (Argentina), can't imagine what it would be to drive a Busso engine!!! Great video!
Dear Nico7g, Mito QV 170hp is a great car, really, but a Busso V6 longitudinal with carburettors, open exhaust is an eargasm and revs right up to 7krpm in a blow. A sound you get addicted to and of which you weak up in the middle of the night, in a sea of sweat and recognize, sh"t, it was only a dream ;-)
I owned one for 9 years. It had no issues. Somebody ' made me an offer I cannot refuse '. No other engine.. including the 3.0 12v sounded the same. I regret selling it.
