I have never seen that kind of art before especially home built. The first part of building every from scratch I saw in Facebook and it's mind blowing to see you cut up metal sheets, sew the car seats, bend and weld in metal sheets, correct the wiring, 3D print the front mesh, tune the engine, install the engine etc. I mean that is a one hell of a talent right there. you are a true craftsman mechanic. Already you can work in huge auto mobile companies. You are a rich man. I really admire your skill. I am a mechanical engineering student at Fiji National University and this year 2024 is my last year so I am looking forward to find a place to do my experience before graduation. I am interested in cars and I believe that what ever talented and dedication you have manifested will never leave my heart because this video and the previous one will always be my idol. I will always re-watch them to learn every thing you just did. It really informative and encouraging as well as motivating for us young people interested in engineering. I built a turbicharged 72 GTV. We made around 300hp. We the correct springs, urathane bushings, caster and camber the car will easlly handle 300hp. This car was a street car driven on road corse track many times. We the quickest lap times beating Porsches and Ferraris and all the race car alfas that showed up. It just takes a bit of sorting to get the balance right.

G'Day Jeff, If the A/C unit has wire wound resistors inside for fan speed, switching it off to power the heater fan will mean the resistors will burn to open circuit. They need the airflow to keep cool. You might need to re think how it all goes , so they don't cook. Cheers mate.

In the future Jeff look into alarm wire catalogs. There are stranded copper color coded multi conductor overall jacketed wiring cables in various guages including 18 & 22 ga most commonly needed in 12vdc systems that alarm and automotive crossover shares. You'll save money, weight and time doing a wiring system design ahead of time and have spare conductor wires at all the predictable locations that you locate weatherproof junction boxes at. A 32 conductor wire going to a jbox in the dash in 4 segments (for markers, indicators, etc up front) another home run to engine bay for sensors, sending units, fan etc, another for dash, then #4 to rear trunk. Then you just have maybe 16 guage pairs for horn, headlights and main power feeds. But perhaps LED is actually fine on 18ga. To keep wires sorted and upgrades and add-ons easier. And everything clean.

If there is a resistor in your ac fan box then it probably needs air blowing across it to keep it cool. They are usually mounted in the airflow, so please make sure it doesn't burn out when using it to control your heater fan as it won't be being cooled

Merry Christmas Jeff and Mrs Jeff! 🎄 Awesome work, lots of fiddly bits for sure but very well executed as always, and it’s nearly there! The fan controller handoff system is very ingenious, only thing I am a little concerned about though is that it’s still bleeding off power with the resistor for the AC fan, while the heater fan is running. Without air blowing over it, it will get pretty hot and could melt… may not be likely, but I wouldn’t want you to have a fire! (Even though you’re well versed in that area!) Someone else mentioned a DC controller… that might be something to think about. Just my 2c!! Cheers sir, all the best in the new year ahead 🎉✌️

I wouldn‘t cover the center console. It look‘s so good in combination with that gear knob. The silver of the aluminum fits with the weels and stripes. Also its a perfect contrast color with the cream leather and the other black accents in the interior like the dashboard.

Use a DC motor controller circuit from somewhere like Jaycar so that you don't have a stepped fan speed. Then you can balance the noise / air much better for the different fans. Merry Christmas and great work as always!

Well done for pushing on. I’ve got to say that you’d have made life SO much easier for yourself if you’d used a full PDM like the AIM PDM32 - it might have cost a little more in spend but saved an incredible amount of time and frustration in integrating all of the various parts - combined with the protection a PDM gives for wiring faults

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody at homebuilt. Name the truck "rubber duck" like "10-4 rubber duck" from that old convoy movie. Also, when cutting out holes, cutouts etc, use a step drill in the corners and drill it out to 15-20mm and you get a nice radiused corner on the hole.

Although the car has more of a vintage-ish vibe, I'd say a carbon overlay on the center console would look great. A big carbon swath down the middle of all that beautiful Cuoio leather to really set off the tan.

The micro switch is very clever, not sure yet how I will use that idea yet but it will be use!
