Fishing thick algae mates for big bass. Using the best frog to get those big bass out of the algae. Just plan getting it done. Hollow body frog are key to fishing top water vegetation

Hello my friend. Another great video. You were fishing more of a scum covered pond. My pond has a massive layer of moss taking over the water day by day. Do you recommend twitching the frog along the edge of the moss as if the frog is swimming along away from the moss, or tossing it in on top of the moss and using him as a plow to scrape the moss off cast by cast? Most frogs I see jump from the bank into the water when you spook them make a chirping noise and dive under the water, I guess they swim off, but I never see big frogs laying on top of the moss, they just sink due to the fact it isn't a solid mass of green but more "pond snot". My reason for asking is that I like to retrieve my lures as natural as I can. I've never seen a Bass eat a frog, but I have seen them eat other top waters that don't look anything like a frog, so my guess is that I should just use it as what it is, a decoy. Your thoughts, and as always, thank you for the information.

Thanks my friend for watching and the continued support. Greatly appreciate it. Great comment as always. I would recommend both until you find a pattern. Sometimes bass love that edge as an ambush spot. Typically fishing moss, algae, hydrilla or any other vegetation I fish the whole pond until I can get a pattern going. A lot of time they will be super close to the bank because of the cover. Actually a foot of the bank. I have also caught them right in the middle of the pond. My approach is always as I say keep it true and fish the entire pond until you catch a few and get a pattern. Once you have a pattern then stick with that. If you haven't watched my video on how to fish a hollow body frog I put the link here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wIIGa1QGZi8.html That is how I fish all top water baits in vegetation except of the zoom paddle frog. All I try to do is make vibration on the surface to attract the bass. I've been using this creature bait that you will never see in a pond but bass just plan out crush it. It's all about the vibration and movement on top,. Bass can't see the bait all they know is something is moving on top that they think is a frog and want to eat it. I've seen bass come from 20 feet away to eat it. You will get a lot of reaction bites this way also. Hope this helps
