My dad passed away in August of this year. He graduated when this song came out in 1971. This was his favorite song and he introduced me to alice cooper. I play this once a day in honor of my dad. Rip. I'll love you forever pops ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Sorry you loss your dad may he Rest In Peace. My brother graduated in 72 i think and he had the 8 track of this and we loved listening to it. Crazy stuff, Alice Cooper would get plastered on stage and couldn’t stand up forget the words and make it up he didn’t care and put on a wild show. He’s a recovering alcoholic now unless he died, probably took a lot of recovery for him. 😅
Saw Alice Cooper concert last night, sold out, all I can say is, the guy puts on an amazing show. Theatrical horror show with heavy metal, really blew me away. As a teenager in the 70's, I really liked all his hit tunes, but to see him live is something else! Wow!
As an HS Junior, gearhead, pothead, drag racing and AC fan, a bunch of freaks like me all piled into a buddies 57 Ford Fairlane, and went to the local drag strip outside of town where AC was having a concert!! Best time ever to that point!! Love AC then as I do now!! School's out was played over the HS intercom on our final day of school! At our HS, there was no divide between freaks and jocks! The jocks were freaks just as the freaks were (kinda) jocks!! Life was and still is ROCKING!!

I'm 64 and I attended Alice Cooper in São Paulo in 1974. At the time I had a Super-8 camera mute (Kodak film but had no audio). I believe there are no records of this first passage from de Alice through São Paulo. Soon, I will scan the images and post on RU-vid.
My grandson, Boh, turned 18 today (2024 April 05). I sent him this video because I remember playing it when I turned 18 in 1974. Still love Alice Cooper and my grandson Boh!!
@@mete3710 Don't ask for advice That's my advice Live, learn, you'll make mistakes you'll regret, yes,we all do,and you will learn from those mistakes It's of no use to fill yourself with worry and fear about things that haven't happened and may or may not happen at all
I have to say he puts on the best concert for his age he is one rocking guy. The only regret I have when I went to the concert was not getting a close enough seat to the stage he interacts with his fans and even throws out Alice Cooper money to the crowd. I'm going to see him tonight I can't wait to see him again
My dad was not a fan of heavy metal at all. However he liked this sonf and understood it. Of course I grew up loving these types of songs, there was a divide between the two of us when it came to music, but Alice Cooper seemed to be something could agree with when it came to quality. So thanks Alice Cooper for give me and my dad a branch to talk about.
metoo, ... im so fired up now, I'm breaking out my Jackson and turning it up some, gonna play along and rock out with these guys, LOL and I'm a g'ma !!! lol
I fell in love with Alice Cooper when I heard this song when I was in 7th grade, only 13 years old!!! You go, Alice, you can still rock and roll at 66 years old. You were great in Richmond Va. just the other year.
I love the music and the acting on stage. It was brilliant. Vincent who played Alice Cooper did an excellent job along with his wife Sheryl and his bandmates. Good job guys. Well done.
Absolutely brilliant song. All of Alice Cooper's songs are just so unbelievably good. From the moment I heard his songs for the first time, I was hooked.
i want this song to stay the same when i hear it cause it is her song my mother god bless her. i miss her very much, people give me limited time especially in communicating my feelings about her, i'm not complaining but their should of been things done to prevent this from happening like her husband should of fought to stay with her cause also she is one of the great vocalist and performer i ever heard of we are Lucky to have such a jewel , it seems to run in the family, god bless miss julie menard.
yep, I think Alice will always be endearing to the younger generation with songs like 18 and schools out. we played school out 35 years ago when I was getting out of high school and I bet they are today.
Ive always loved his music. I personally think he sounds a million times better live though. Seen him twice and im only 22. Even if hes not the main event he steals the show every time. Keep rocking alice. The world needs more people like you.
Alice is the real deal. A titan of rock. I hope he'll be alive forever. When I was born 32 years ago, he'd been already an icon for 20 years... This year, I've seen him live, and he's amazing. It was an honor to witness this living legend. Long live Alice!
I was eighteen back in June 2000 when bought Love It to Death - my first ever Alice's album. I was a long-haired student in a leather jacket who just finished his first year of a shitty provincial university. I was out of money, I lived in a tiny old house with my grandparents, I had no girlfriend and of course I did not know what I wanted. But hey, I liked it! Now it is June 2020. I am thirty-eight. I am an accomplished professional in an expensive suit, I live in an upmarket apartment, I have a nice job with a decent pay check, I am married a beautiful woman and (most of the time I think) I know what I want. But gosh, somehow, I hate almost everything about it and dream of running away in outer space or even further beyond. Apparently, this is what they call middle-age crisis...
That's funny..."built a boat out of melted down ABBA records..." 😂 Finally somebody found a use for them, lol. (Except Dancing Queen, which isn't half bad)
I played this when I was 18. I related to the lyrics 100%. My mom saw Alice Cooper when she was 16 & took pictures. She was in the 7th row, but said she felt like she was closer bc the music was so good that night.
I was in elementary school when he did these songs and shows. I'll be 60 in August & still love listening to him. I have several albums because they were given to me by a friend in elementary school. Her brother was being deployed to Nam for the war. I cherish these albums.
