The more you mess with the Alien the more agro it gets. Same thing can happen when using the flamethrower. When you first start flaming the thing it runs pretty far away and you have time to easily move to a new location or hide. While the flamethrower hurts it you aren't going to kill it with the flamer. As encounters continue you become an object of hate because of the pain you cause it. if you go overboard though and use it too much, you can make it so mad that despite the pain of the flames, instead of running away as normally happens, it will hang back just out of range waiting for you to screw up. It's not like you can get away in such a standoff situation. It will just follow/stalk you as you try to back out of the situation and if you turn your back you are dead. The madder it gets the more sneaky it gets. If in thsi situation you finally flame over and over again so throughly that the pain is intolerable enough that it finally goes into a vent it will turn around and pop right back down and get you if you stupidly turn your back on the vent. LOL.
I imagine it can - it motioned to attempt to climb under, but Ripley's flashlight made it interrupt itself, at which point the quicker traversal option was apparently the vent back on itself. Had it picked otherwise, this little game of Amanda's would end quick, and it'd be funny if it decides to go that way if she tries it again next reload.
Yeah well you were literrally standing in the same room with alien at the end so of course he/she finally killed you. Plus you left your flashlight on in the end
I think at the end of the video you were relying on your ears so much that you thought the xeno was in front of you. The motion tracker would have been more accurate.
I'd say listening still worked.... if it dropped the other side it sounded slightly different. But this is coming from someone that's played this shit for thousands of hours. My ears are more important than my eyes.... and yeah Xeno gets aggro AF when you do this and will eventually dupe you. There's a similar spot in one of the survival modes and it behaves the same; after a while it tries to trick you, key is to stick closest to the thing protecting you. Problem is actually getting away once you've instigated this. Xeno will be on an absolute warpath XD
How many different rooms are there in the game where you can get away with this trolling? I'd imagine this can't be the only common place for it to happen.
Pretty sure this still looks decent by modern standards. Like, yeah, it's becoming to show some signs of age, like certain animations, but come on, the textures, the lighting, the ambience is still top notch.
