And yet still scary, like I know it’s dumb and glitchy, but the thought that if they mid time the climb just a little and the xeno will catch you, still anxiety driving..
Yeah it sucks. The devs were dumb on that aspect, most video games fail on that sort of details, jumping is short, climbing takes forever. Why not just implement a stamina mode so you can add a level of adrenaline to the game.
@@NowLedgeOutpost pathing is when the AI can take a specific route to get to you, usually pathing is based on the shortest distance to get to you, but in this case, there was a pathing oversight as the Alien always took the long route to her instead of turning left right after leaving the vent right into ur face.
Look, I understand that there are those of us who prefer to go the long way in life, but when your target is literally RIGHT THERE; it's called meeting you half way
I'd imagine it has to do with the choreographed scene when the alien jumps down when you first show up there. So if the alien walks through it, it will trigger it to jump down and go through that scene again. Which is why the alien jumps through the floor going back. That's the spawn point for that scene.
Most likely since in that part of the game (if memory serves me right) the Alien isn’t supposed to be there. My guess is that the AI pathing wasn’t as fleshed out as in the rest of the game.
I made a simple Aliens game in about 10 days from scratch recently and it has many of the same aspects used here - the Alien is clearly following path nodes to get to the player and can only go forward and back through the node locations...not change paths or select the quickest route....
Bruh idk it made me laugh as soon as they went up the ladder and the Xeno just started phasing through the wall and in the vent. It looked like it was having trouble
Is insane mod mean it attacks immediately or what? Even on nightmare you cheat by not allowing the alien to attack until time has passed in its line of sight. Being too realistic would cause frustration
That's exactly the point - the mod is supposed to make the behavior more realistic and thus the game more difficult. "Insane AI Mod" = increased view, hearing, AI and damage caused by the enemies of the game. I always laugh at videos where the alien stands almost directly in front of the player and does nothing but hiss. Every time I think "OK, that's it!" ..but nothing happens! #facepalm
@@gullefrosche the increased damage sounds a bit frustrating. It already is 2 hits from a working Joe and 1 hit from the alien. Doesn't sound that realistic having a fit woman like Amanda dying from 1 punch in the face
@@rickysmyth I'm going to make the bold statement that Amanda would normally be knocked out, if not die, by a single blow from a machine (android). And what happens when an android (machine) strangles her? Not recommended! The mod is not unfair, it's just nightmare ++.
Certainly! I do not understand why someone gives a dislike... If I don't like a video, I move on to the next one. Well, a thumbs down is also a thumb. So thanks for the feedback.
