Of course not, graphics and gameplay are one thing but the developers are willing to go so far as to get the actual cast to voice their parts to pay homage to the original Alien instead of just hiring someone who sound like them

They even got Sir Ian Holm to play the chilling Ash, well before he passed away in June 2020. R.I.P.

@@totophi I had heard he was the only one they DIDN'T get to reprise his role? Like they got everyone else, but for some reason they had to get someone else to play Ash? Yes, just checked the alien wiki and it says "he lent his likeness" for the part, but not his voice. Don't know why. Only other actor not to reprise the role was John Hurt. But Kane was dead by that point, so they couldn't have used him if they wanted to I suppose.

Machina18 The timing is just funny. She sounds so devestated about their deaths but just immediately takes their stuff with no second thought and no time to process it. It’s just how fast she does it, it seems like she just doesn’t care but sounds real sad at the same time.

@@l.pricetag.5207 That's how things happen in survival situations. There are records of Jews in the Holocaust who didn't cry for their slaughtered family until after they were liberated, years later. You don't have time to grieve properly when something/someone is actively trying to kill you.

I wish it had done better upon release, Sega and Creative Arts cited a lack of interest is the reason for not pursuing a sequel, which based on the end of this game qas definitely in order.

I get so stressed out from watching it, the alien being unscripted makes it so much worse than a normal horror game, it doesn't just jump out at certain times so that after you play it once you know when it's going to happen, it's different every time so there's no preparing for what's going to happen, thats what's the scariest..

Zariis (Official) yeah this game is prob my fav horror game ever. I've played the campaign thru 7 times on hard and nightmare mode and did the achievement playing thru without dying lol. The way the alien hunts you is amazing and so dynamic, they have it down so perfect. It also only teleports twice throughout the whole game so it's actually up in the vents and on the space station the whole time, it's intense. Like the more noise you make and times it attract it the more it will be around your area and stuff, I could go on and on about it lol. It's really never the same experience, even with the dlcs. I love this one especially because of the alien move obvi lol. I also like how they tie in A:I inbetween Alien and Aliens. I'm hoping for a sequel the way this game ended.

Zariis (Official) also there's not really any jump scares (only a few here and there) unlike most horror things which is what I love most about it. Your own stress and thoughts can make it worse than it is, it's just so awesome lol.

Is that really true though, i mean surely they place the Alien fairly near to the proximity of your character when you start a new level? The space station is huge like miles across it could be over the other side and never hear you for hours and hours otherwise. But i agree its a fantastic game and they nailed the horror. I've only played it once on medium but I am ready I think for another playthrough THIS YEAR.

Yeah. It'd be a nice nod to have added him to Iso, as well, and not just A:CM.

Jonesy is one of the reason the whole movie at the near end was really "tense" some will say "Leave the damn cat!" while other will say "Hope she get the cat" (if you are a cat person.. in which case I am).

I've heard those two differences sometimes at the same time. I tend to believe that she goes through such lengths to get him back because he is another member of the crew. Also, I think that it was her going back for him that leads to the scene where Brett and Dallas are found being morphed, even if it was deleted.

It does have some weird tracking thing where it sticks to you for a little bit before finally moving around normally. If you hide in a locker it will come and pass by once or twice and it just so happens to want to come to your location to often despite you not moving or making a sound.

Actually playingnitnis less scary than watching, you can control the character and pause more often. Turn it to easy and relax a bit. It’s more rewarding of an experience so go and re-install it.

Aannnd, nothing force you to play on expert. I'm playing on novice mod and the alien is very forgiving. He will STILL kill you on sight, but he won't see you easyly.

Thatd be awesome!! I really enjoyed this game but it felt like it dragged on a lot and it kept having you do random annoying things..The alien got a bit annoying towards the end as well bc it kept knowing exactly where you were...Anyways one thing I hated about the alien is that it just walked around like a human...In the movies the alien crawled upside down along ceilings, jumped over tables , crawled along walls, etc this alien couldnt do any of that...

Imagene if it could do it, the game would be more difficult and scare than it is.

This gave a thought to give a brief idea. Imagine as DLC, people were disappearing but end up being horrifically murdered when found. At some points when you find a body, your motion tracker beeps and you see nothing near you moving and it goes off someplace else or out of your access. Eventually getting to the truth when things heat up, the motion tracker then picks something up you cannot see. It gets closer but you don't see a thing in front of you. Then the predator uncloaks itself attacking you afterwards. The motion tracker is your only hope of survival.

Assuming you start with a weapon? Probably hell... don't have one? Then the game wouldn't exist.. Cuz no sport in it

In the middle of that, you get something like "a massive clawed hand groped soundlessly where his foot had been." You don't expect it and makes you reread the sentence.

Look at the IRL order again, and feel free to have a chill go down your spine. If you go by the directors cut....they've been dying IRL same order as the movie. Literally. Because in the DC Ripley finds Dallas fucked up, cocooned, but not dead.

What exactly do you expect the Ai to do when you force it back into the vents? It is free roaming, it chooses to go someplace closer to you because it’s whole purpose is to kill you on sight. Not to mention that this is a very small map
