Thank you so much!! There's a few on my channel from my previous playthrough (on Hard). And I'll be uploading a new vid from my current playthrough, like every 2nd day (or something like that) Thanks again for the comment Bobola!🖤
Same here bro I can watch ppl play this all day but when I play, it takes 5hrs to even get to the exit area cuz I always crouch and move slowly or I don't move at all the alien could be miles away and I'd be in a closet waiting for it to comeback since all that literally just happened an hour ago this game is amazing
I did pass the game on nightmare, and you always needed to be crouch to make the game easier, problem is that even if you just walk standing up you make more sound...
The Alien's tether to Amanda is really short on Nightmare. Supposedly there's a mod that loosens it or removes it entirely to allow the Alien to crawl in the ceiling vents way *ahead* of you (instead of always following closely behind), while modifying to Alien's AI to make it even more difficult than Nightmare (supposedly). I might try it for my next run if the mod is legit. I can't remember what it's called, but I'll look it up now... Bay's Alien Isolation Overhaul V2 There's even an option to silence the Alien's footsteps!😨 but you can still hear him growl and hiss and stuff Oh my god, that sounds like scary and fun!
How frustrating to sit there waiting for the Alien to go elsewhere and they be like "Whoops forgot my keys, whoops forgot my hat, whoops forgot to pee"
Hey, thanks so much for the nice comment! I appreciate the observation; that's really encouraging😊 I think a lot my movement & fear comes from being deeply immersed in the game. I play with all the lights off and the monitor close to my face. And I play with the volume really loud on my virtual surround sound headset🙂 And let's face it, the developers did a fantastic job at making the game itself very immersive, with the graphics and sounds, and just the whole atmosphere. A+++ 👍
@@firstpersonlooter No, that feature isn't available on the PC version of the game, unfortunately. There aren't even any mods for it, as far a I can tell. Sounds like it would be wild tho! I'd be holding my breath for *real* in a locker!!😄
@ayylmao7018 I paused a lot on my 1st playthrough. This 2nd time around, I don't think I pause at all out of fear. It might be because I've been caught by the Alien a thousand times already, so I'm a bit more accepting of my fate?🤷♂️
You can run, you just have to be careful how you do it. It's actually one of your best distraction tools - the alien will follow your footsteps from when you were running, so you can double back and lead it in the wrong direction.
People think this game is difficult. Its really not that bad at all assuming you go into it with the idea of sneaking about and avoiding all engagement. Occasionally the alien can surprise you but generally, moving cautiously from cover to cover works fine .
Also, you have infinite lives, infinite continues, so if you get caught, you just have to reload your last save. That being said, I still like to pretend that it's real and I that I have only 1 life, haha😊 The jump-scare before you die is a fitting punishment for failure, in my opinion🙂
@Space_Ghost91 😂 I wasn't sure if the Alien was coming towards me or not, so I stopped to listen for its footsteps... Yeah, I cut it pretty close there😄
Also you only died bc you stopped exactly where you stopped sprinting at. When you sprint, you practically draw a path for the alien to follow. So knowing that once you stop sprinting continue to move while crouched (I understand the fright this induces) to a hiding spot away from where you started crouching. Your stopped sprint spot will be his last "searching" spot. Learned this from 150+ hours on "get Morleys keycard mission alone.
@514demon Near the end, where you were running towards the patient room, I thought you were going to run in there and press the button to lock the door, but then you made that left turn into a dead end and I was like “NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”.
Aren't they supposed to have some smell/pheromone reception, as well as electro reception? Kinda weird that they're oblivious to human being half a feet away, just because they're hidden in a locker. I mean, there are probably people out there, who could smell another human being from that close. :D
Ripley took a shower before entering the station. 😁 (It's true. It's one of the first mission objectives at the beginning of the game.) If you're looking for a more serious answer, in this case, the Alien didn't even initiate its typical "sniff test". It will often go right up to the locker and spend a fair amount of time sniffing at it, and then player, in response, must lean back and hold their breath long enough for the Alien to leave. If the player's health is too low, or they take a breath too early before the Alien makes enough distance, then it's mealtime for the Xeno😋 But yeah, you're right. The Alien should probably have a better sense of smell... But it is a video game after all🖤
I don't understand how such an AMAZING game went under the radar for so long. I only recently discovered this GEM after playing Aliens dark descent. Honestly consider this game leagues above and beyond anything "modern". I run this on RPCS3 w 4k upscale and reshade. The DLC is great in this game as well. I truly have an unhealthy obsession with this series. Maybe it'll die down after i see romulus. SMH
Wait. There's a difficulty with 5 aliens??? I don't know, but I'd sure like to try it!😃 Maybe it's one of the DLCs. I haven't tried any of the DLCs yet.
Yeah, I know. I realized that after. But at the time, I didn't even know that that's where I had to go! I was too scared and my brain didn't think of using the motion tracker to find out where I had to go
There are a few, but the main differences are: You have no HUD, so you can't see how much health you have; Enemies can spot you easier and from a longer distances, and they have more health & do more damage; The Alien is more aggressive (stays closer to you and pops out of the vents more often)
