Yeah, i played this first bit of this one too.... AND I WANNA FINISH IT DAMN IT. this is however the last horror game i tried to play when i was younger ever, it was this and outlast. I actually tried to play this one before outlast then twice after. the furthest i got IIRC is when axel died then i shat myself from the noises and quit the game forever.... OR so i thoooought, cuz here i am playing it subjecting myself to torture for the entertainment of strangers.

This is honestly one of the best horror games ever made. If it's something that interests you, after you finish of course, I suggest watching the video that talks about the Alien's AI. I don't remember who made it even tho I'm subscribed to them, but I'm too lazy to look it up myself.

The way I remember it is the Alien's A.I is comprised of three different bots: one that knows where you are, one that's actively searching for you, and one that gives random hints to the searcher every minute or two, so that eventually the Alien will always figure out exactly where you're hiding.

you can get it to spawn before the first scripted encounter if you are reckless enough, by running and making noise

it actually does spawn there, but 99% of players are too terrified to make enough noise to attract it i also think you need to be on hard or nightmare

i played this game and was scared af by this thing in the first stage of the game, and it took me 10 minutes to get the willpower to get into the room, just to find out that its just a stupid human lmao edit: and wtf do you play on gamma 1000 or why can you actually see things??

i was scared shitless of this game for a while. And then i realized you're just playing hide and seek with a decent AI in an alien suit. the ai gets smarter as you go wich i gotta say is terrifying but also lessened by the fact that you have tools at your disposal to manipulate the alien. The scariest part of the game by far is the first encounter with the alien, when Axel is killed. The anxiety inducing score coupled with the slow-ass tram car is the worst. after that its pretty much smooth sailing as long as you pay attention to the objectives.
