Loving my X15. With some undervolting on the CPU and GPU and overclocking, I'm pretty close to a full TGP 3070. Graphics score is 10,790 in timespy which is impressive. Temps are also ok, GPU stays under 80C and CPU stays under 92C. Fine with me as long as it doesn't hit tj max 100C. And like you said, it's the best looking laptop out there. Period.
That’s about double what my 1070 Alienware 15 r3 is putting out on time spy. Can’t wait to get my x15 in the next couple weeks. Got the QHD 3070 W/16GB RAM
I am currently in the same process as you are: Finding the perfect laptop for work and games with the best specs and quality that I can get for my money. You are doing an awesome job and it's fun watching your videos. So you got my subscribe. Your channel will quickly grow, for sure! I am looking forward to your next legion 7 in-depth review:-)
Appreciate the long form review for this. I feel a bit weird because I bought an x15 (which should arrive this week) but now I'm wishing I had upgraded a little more.
Depending on your use, it may fit your needs. This one just doesn’t fit mine. Try it out and if you don’t like it, use the return policy to upgrade or try another brand. Good luck!
nice review, the price this black friday at 1400 usd with the 15% cashback from Rakuten makes this an easy choice, hopefully i can fix some of that overheating issue with undervolting
I bought the Bluetooth Bose sound link revolve + speaker to pair with mine. Best accessory investment I’ve made. Top tier sound with bass in a small package. I’ve had many gaming laptops over the years and the speakers are never great. Only laptop with good speakers are the MacBook sadly
Great video, very funny and engaging. I do see your points and definitely agree with you. However now that it is 42% off or something I’m really looking into it. Do you think at $1500 it would be a good price to pck it up at? But you also mentioned the Legion 5 pro which I’ve also been looking at:/ the problem is that the alien ware looks way to good, and i feel the legion just looks like a black brick, although a powerful black brick
As always, great review. consistent formula in your video, no bs, straight to the point. Keep this up and you'll probably reach 100k in no time. Awesome brother !
Hahaha love the ending. All facts fam, same here @30:26 + Also seems like that's what they gave us with the M15 R7 i7 but the reviews on the page makes it seem sketchy
Went with the X17 for the larger screen, extra ports in the back and, most importantly, higher TDP GPU (Max P). The x15 is best if portability is high up on your priority list. Otherwise, the x17 is the better unit of the two. Just sucks that Dell included single rank RAM on the 16GB models (which is what mine has). So I gotta drop more money on some dual rank RAM, as if it wasn’t already expensive af lol but it does increase the performance pretty dramatically.
PC TrashPads won't get better till Haptic Trackpads are forced by MS for precision drivers.... And it is desperately needed... And that's just Classic DELL. They love to have the power cable stickin straight out of the side so you damage it nice and easily. And there is zero excuse for removing Ethernet.... ZERO.. Sad to see that they completely dropped the ball on the heat. That makes me worry it'll be another Razor product in disguise. Still thoroughly pleased with the Legion 5 2020 Ryzen7. My screen was fine though..
Nice laptop I love it, I wanted to know about the temperatures, The Alienware has a new cooling system, I wanted to know if the temperatures stay below 100 ºC or exceed 100 ºC
@@ProTechShawn I love the Alienware X15 the design is one of the most beautiful laptops, I'm a fan of Alienware, but I'm going to be critical, if they have engineers they have to do their job and listen to their followers, I can't accept that it has a cooling system vapor chamber and four fans and does not cool better than the HP OMEN 16 is unacceptable, they cannot charge a laptop for its design and for saying that it has a vapor chamber and does not do its job, and on top of that it has limitations the ports are not aligned as you say, and on top of that I am also limited in the ram that ALIENWARE is doing and if they can put the sound on top in the DELL XPS because they don't do it in ALIENWARE, I think the HP OMEN has some problems in the screen lid and a few other things still a better laptop than the ALIENWARE
@@ProTechShawn Yeah Alienware is not like they used to be after dell bought them. None of their laptops before dell bought them had soldered ram. Even the GPU and cpu were not soldered in the original Alienwares.Like my m18x r2 I had. The only reason they solder the ram is too force the consumer to buy the most ram they need to spend the most money. Pretty anti consumer move. I would never consider any laptop with baked ram. Ram rarely fails but if it does that means you have to replace the whole motherboard.
