Alienware X17 Consumer Review - This is a BEAST!!!

I have this with the intel core i9-11900hk, 32g ram, rtx 3080 16g vram and omg this machine matches up to a desktop pc. This boy here is a beast!!! I play RDR2 at 4k with all settings cranked up, yes full ultra with dlss quality and this baby handle it nice and smooth like thanksgiving leftovers. The only downside is the battery is huge which makes it uncomfortable to carry around but yh its giving your 350W so you can imagine.

Great review, love the transitions in your video. I got same laptop on sale at BestBuy. Made the purchase and choice easier to swallow. Did you use the FN+F2 for max throttle before running tests? The kooky customizing software has sound profiles, once I set one of those it sounded way better. It’s a beast until you use 4K on external monitor and everything at ultra, had to tweak settings to get good gaming performance there. Still love the laptop.

hey D i got the same config but with the 120hz 4k screen 500 nitts, and the cherry mx keys i got it from the outlet for 2319 shipped tax included everything, do u think itll be worth it?

This laptop is a beast. I have it and runs amazing after upgrading my own ram and ssd in it comes with rtx 3080

if im not wrong the network/wifi card is not upgradable. are the speakers bad on this model?

I got mine on Monday have it sense week so far I'm loving it I might put more ram to get extra boost next year I got the 17x r 4 with a 3080. I7 4k display 120hz

Awesome review! Any idea which 90 degree adapter work for this laptop.

Does anyone have an issue with the X17 or X15 where when you togle the fn+f1 performance mode it resets all your lights back to the RGB scheme? Even if you have everything set to another color

I got mine open box for 1.6k after tax was that a steal

I just sold my m17 r3 the other day and was looking into getting one of these bad boys but came across another deal I couldn't pass up. I got an aorus 17x for 1500 from some lady because she was past the return period from micro center and said she didn't like it cause it was too thick lol. She wanted 1700 but I offered 1500 and she accepted it.If you think the keyboards on the alienwares are good this aorus 17x keyboard is on another level lol. The aorus 17x I got has a 200 watt 2080 super which beats the 3070 in the x17 and is right up there with 3080. The 3080 is slightly faster. The laptop has 32gb ram non soldered. 1tb m.2 and 2 tb drive. It also has an extra m.2 slot which I will add my 2tb m.2 when I get the chance.The laptop is pretty heavy and thicc but it doesn't thermal throtte at all and the temps are really good. Much better than the m17 r3 thermals. Plus the audio is insane. Has a subwoofer and full size sd card slot. They didn't skimp on anything in this laptop like dell does. Screen has no backlight bleed either.

Wish I had waited on the x17. But, my M 15 is doing the trick. Plus, I got it for 1299!

Is taht better then Razer Blade 2021 QHD? I cant decide: That Razer(2500$) OR Dell Alienware x17 for 3500$ (In my country)

I got this laptop too, 3 months later I still love it. Its not without some flaws though

I expected you to do some of the gaming test and show the game performance and screen respone form the perspective that you're recording. That would make us more aware of the gaming performance judging by some gaming tests

Dam I should’ve got this one you are reviewing . I just got the Alienware m15 Ryzen™ Edition R5 Gaming Laptop I have to do some upgrades to it though I need an 2tb ssd and a bracket to hold it. Do you have any recommendations for an 2tb ssd on the cheap side or should I return the laptop and get something different. My specs are Ryzen 7 16gig ram rtx 3070 512ssd

Great review.. But for me the fact that there is no number pad, is a no go.. And i would have a 2 k or 4k screen.. anyway i will stick with my m17r4 380 rtx 4k display…

You need to check out the Omen 16 intel i7-11800 3060 version. It’s on sale for $1200 and you can’t beat the performance for the price
