It's not really the "maiden", but it's close enough. Look out for the upcoming post-assembly review, there will be a lot of good information in that video pertaining to the build, quality of parts, tips & tricks, etc.
The FC is the Spektrum 6250HX which allows me to program a bail-out incase of orientation loss.

I have a 450 trex let my cousin fly it and he crashed it and totaled it and now I fly a plane and wish I can get another one good luck

Admit it, you were plenty anxious hitting that bailout the first time! Thanks, as I found your video while building this 650x myself while waiting for my new pre-order 700 Nitro. This 650 looks great, plus I've never put a Heli kit together that was a perfect design in every way. They all got at least one thing that makes you ask yourself "what were they thinking". But without the challenges, what fun would it be. : )

You can do an rpm readout with the hobbywing progbox. I thought bailout is motor restart after hitting auto ? Btw, nice bird and flying...

Hello Brother Mangz, I'm Papa Sal the heli pilot, not Val. She's my beloved. Did you find that the tail gears were a bit tight, or not meshed correctly? I've seen that there might be problems with the red gears. Haven't got that far on the build yet. I'm just putting in the servos ; getting ready for the motor. Thanks

If it is assembled correctly and you insure that the gear is fully pushed against the tail case then it is extremely smooth and meshes perfectly. Once you assemble the tail, push the gear into the tail case as far as it will go. There is a possibility that the gear isn’t fully seated and can cause it to mesh hard with the gear on the tail shaft, you’ll know if it is meshed wrong, it will be very rough.

Hey, so i just bought my 2nd helicopter and im getting confident enough now id like to start doing some tricks, any chance we can get you to make an instructional video on how to actually do the tricks?, I don"t know how you would manage to show us the controller and what the helicopter is doing at the same time but it would be awesome to properly learn some tricks rather than the trial and error method lol

Hey man, I actually just upgraded to a new GoPro Hero 11, so now that I have two GoPros I technically could setup a stick-cam with a chest mount so you could see the transmitter and the heli. Give me a couple weeks to get it posted but I will definitely do that

Wow your one hell of a good pilot. Sure that flight controller was helping but your flying skills are off the charts. You handled that 650x like a boss. I just bought the 650x And using the ikon2 what are your thoughts? Any good? I know Bert Kramer swears by it. I bought the Ikon because it has the auto level feature something I need because I’ll never seem to learn 3D. Where did you learn to fly like that? I sure wish I could fly like you 🥲. I wanna maiden my 650x but I’m too chicken shit. I’ll do my trex 500x or 470 LM .

Thanks for the nice words man! I personally do not have any experience with the ikon2, but I have heard good things about them and I know some very talented pilots use them so I definitely do not think it’s bad by any means. I kinda just taught myself to fly, I started off on a simulator, then I went to the Nano CPX back in 2014. I took a long break from helis and didn’t start flying them seriously until late 2019. So I really only started flying in 2019-current. Nah man, you’ve got this, have confidence in your build and setup, don’t let the 650 intimidate you, it’s a big sweet heart to fly. As long as your setup is good and your self-leveling is correctly calibrated, it should be very uneventful.

I am just getting back into flinging helicopters after a 10 year break. I bought my first heli in 2000. Wow have alot of things changed. Flybarless was just coming around when I set everything aside and back then I thought it was cheating. Now there is Safe and AS3X and other forms of assisted flight stabilization. Really? Long duration HANDS off inverted hover. That is cheating.

Haha, yeah it’s quite amazing how stable they are now days. Very simple and easy to setup as well, no fly bar and all those linkages to get perfect. If you set them up right, they really are that good where you can just let go of the sticks and it will stay where you left it. Flybarless controllers were a game changer, I probably wouldn’t be into helis if it weren’t for flybarless tech.
