I like RC stuff, been blowing money on this hobby since I was 11 years old, (I'm 25 now). Airplanes, Heli's & Surface stuff, I love it all, but airplanes was (and still is) my original "love" for this hobby. I post when I feel like it, lol.
It feels too floaty like its not having enough weight in the nose end. Im using a 4s. Any extra weight can be added to the front to make it fly better or a higher class battery?
I have a umx p47 from several years back that I put the voodoo motor and prop on. It has an incredible roll rate and is just as fast as this p51. Crazy speed....
Great info here. I have been FPV the 230s for a few years with vertical straight down steady military dives that quadcopters can't do. I am moving the entire FPV and servos and motor (direct drive) from the 230s fuselage to the fusion 180 now.
I use oxy2's 210mm main blades in both the 230s and the fusion 180. And also I am trying out DJI Inspire's 13-inch propeller blades as the main blades.
I have a Eachine / Volantex / rage super cub, and it's a good flyer . You'll find that top rc made the cub you are flying, and it has a shorter wing span .
I always used to get Michael Schumacher to check over the current model Hyundai Getz before I kitted up each of my granddaughters for her first driving lesson. 🤔😉🙄
All I've ever flown was fixed wing and fpv quads, but always wanted to learn helis. They just seem really complicated to fly. But this seems like a great platform to learn on. Great vid!
I have this helicopter and I have flown mine a lot, I will warn you that the capacitors sticking out of the front of the stock ESC are only secured by the solder pins of the capacitors. The vibration of the helicopter will cause the capacitors to just break off during flight. I had to open up the ESC and solder in new capacitors when this happened to mine and my father's 500 3D. I have added hot glue around the base of the new capacitors to keep them from breaking off again. Modern ESCs have capacitor holders that solve this issue.
To me it’s harder to fly precise circuits, circles, figure 8s than it is to flip and roll. I can fly in all 8 orientations comfortably but those big nice symmetrical circuits are tough, yet I can piro-flip ect…. Weird.
I want a super fast UMX in the shape of a UMX conscendo, but with a flat wing. Basically a UMX hotliner running on 6s ? That would be my absolute favorite plane for a while for sure.
I got mine, and it flies like garbage. Spool ups are nail biting adventures as it wants to dip rotors in to the ground. I see you spool up and didn't touch a stick, try that with mine and you'll end up on it's side with rotors digging in to the ground. Obviously something wrong with my setup on my NX-8 radio. Horizon hobbies tech support useless. Even sent it back to have them tell me "Nothing wrong with it", that they flew it twice with no issues. And that was the extent of their help. So, until I get some REAL help, it sits, unflyable.
I have a 600x in absolutely mint condition that I acquired as part of a lot purchase. It has the original Eflite 700 500kv motor, a Talon HV120 ESC, the original H6040 cyclic servos, and the 6080G tail servo. I installed an IKON2 BT fbl with two Spektrum satellites. I have programmed the fbl and done a full ground functional checkout. This heli is for sale and I'm taking offers. Thx.
I got mine, and love the scale looks. I think it flies more scale with 3s, but have dropped a wing a couple times, trying to fly it like a Turbo Timber Evolution. Recovered a couple of them, but also ended on the ground, with limited damage. Love the airplane, but for worry free flying, I’ll stick with my TT Evo. I’m not the first to experience this, but no one but Jon’s Rc mentions it. Nice flying!
I agree that it’s not as friendly as the TT and it has dropped a wing on me as well. This one will bite you if you get too slow, the TT doesn’t care lol.
but tbh i think 5min of flight time on full power is for that little guy a good performance. Yes, theres stil much air for improvement, accepted, but in my humble opinion it is perfectly fine :)
I sure enjoy mine! flying right off the road in front of my house. I dont have a long approach for landing so I have to go full flaps in a good dive and lands perfect every time.
That was my first heli. It was a lot of fun. I've now gotten into planes , but I did just get a 230S. It's INSANE compared with the sr120 obviously. (I didn't have the new technology, it was 10 years ago, it was a handful as a beginner)
Hey man I've been watching your videos on the fusion 480/550 for awhile now, and I was wondering if you think a 6000 pack would fit decently in the new 550. I only do mild 3d and mainly upright flight right now so a minute or 2 of extra runtime would be appreciated
I don’t see a problem with that, it should fit, I wouldn’t worry about the extra weight, it’s not gonna hurt it. I actually bought all of the parts, including the new canopy and tail fin and converted my original 480 stretch to the “new” 550, I just haven’t done a video on it.
Great Flight Young Fella. I recommend as well for Plane Pilots that want to fly a Heli. blades are great for Airplane pilots. Im 65yo an a 14 year rc airplane pilot. Love , Blade Heli s. Have nano s3, 230 v2 an now a 150 s, no telemetry. as well the cfx 180. Mistake there,, lol beautiful tail, an VERRRRRY similiar in some parts to the 150,, However. The 180 cfx is not a begineer Heli at all.. If your a plane pilot an want to sport /scale fly mostly, an want to 3d about 4 mistakes hi??? go Blade not the 180 cfx tho,,lol
Nice flying sir, maybe you can help me,I have replaced my tail servo 3 times, every time I put one on,go out to fly and it goes out, they keep breaking I don’t know why, im getting tired of buying these tail servos.lol
Too bad mine never came. I’m cancelling that mug so I can get something else. Tired of waiting for back order. Already have the turbo timber evo. So no big deal.
The TT Evo has a larger flight envelope, and imo it’s a better, and more fun airplane to fly. Love the looks and scale flying of my Draco, and it sits front and center in my inventory, but the TT Evo. Is my favorite flyer, bar none.
I have been flying my Blade 450x for ages now. It's the only helicopter I have and every spring I order a new Turnigy 2200 3s battery for about 10 dollar, plug it in and fly it every well enough day until winter. This thing is unbreakable. I love it.
Hey I was wondering if you could help me with something. My blade 330s is acting really weird when I start to fly it spins extremely fast and it's never done this before. Im in stable mode in safe and I don't think it should be going full speed. So if there is a way to fix it that would be amazing. And it's a rtf so all I have is a dxs
