@@charliedontsurf334the psalms were written in hebrew-which had no lower nor uppercase letters-don’t think the Bible was originally written in english.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the amount of effort that this guy put in to make this whole video?! We really needed something like this and thanks for the message at the end "We need to write the Psalms in our hearts". God bless y'all
@@JamesC-ww8lb have you not read the message/disclaimer in the beginning, my friend? I understand what you are saying, this is definitely not a reliable source for Psalms and what’s it about, but just appreciate the humour that’s all. God bless you

Grifter deleting my comments lmao. No, you’re compromising with sin. You’re mocking God and praising it, being lenient with the word. It’s utter disrespect to The Father
@@theAmazingJunkman You should listen to this guy on RU-vid singing Psalms 22 -- One of Jesus last 7 words on the Cross. . It will bring tears to your eyes. He is teaching how to sing the Psalms and sings Ps 22. His name is David Dreher. He starts singing it in the third minute of the video (minute 3:25) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uXojNtlo7x8.html
I actually looked into psalm 22, and it's actually one of the prophecies Jesus fuffiled. Yk how Jesus spoke hebrew/aramaic, and one of his last phrases on the cross is eli, eli lama sabatchani, meaning my God, my God why have you forsaken me. In Jesus time they didn't have verse numbers or chapters so to reffrer to a verse you said the first verse of that chapter, it happened to be that psalm 22vs1, that verse is also eli, eli, lama sabatchani. Psalm 22 also talks about a man being despised, so it would make sense for Jesus to reference this verse bc it is about him. (no hate I just thought that was interesting)
Psalms is an amazing book. You can always find those who are relatable to the situations we're feeling. Whether it is doubt, fear, confidence, repentance, joy, anger, it's all there. But for me Psalm 23 as the first I truly meditated on will always be the most special and beautiful
Try singing the Psalms morning and evening with Paul Rose. I've been singing and praying the Psalms daily for 7 years using the Divine Office App. I just discovered singing the Psalms with Paul Rose (Sing the Hours) on RU-vid; he sings them beautifully in English and Latin. You will love this if you like Gregorian chant.
Also, I pray the same psalms month after month, but depending on how God is speaking to you, the same psalms will move you differently. Sometimes I'm weeping as I pray the Psalms and sometimes I tell God I'm just here but staying faithful to my morning hour of prayer with Him.
Psalms 23 is my word for the whole year of 2023. Like literally life took a great L on me; I lost a job, my firend betrayed me, and I was broken several times. But His goodness and mercy remained.

For everyone asking, he did NOT marry a single mother or anyone on OF. He addressed those rumors on Twitter, and has been harassed enough by this stupidity.
Psalm 22 is also a great prophecy about the crucifixion of Jesus, it might be my favorite psalm. I'm curious whether anyone else has a "favorite" one and why it is their favorite.
I love and memorized Ps 63 and Ps 24. I've been praying and singing the poetic vision of the psalms for 7 years on the Divine Office app. I love Psalm 22 also. It is a "U shaped psalm" in that it goes down in the pit so to speak and then as you keep reading Psalm 22, it goes up telling of the hope we have in God. Some people believe Jesus was telling the people at the Cross, it was not despair because among despair is the hope and strength we have in the Cross. So it was cited to show them hope and the Jews song the psalms so they likely finished his words in a praise of hope. You should listen to this guy on RU-vid singing Psalms 22. yeah but that wasn't the original intent of the author, people only realize that after Jesus told the disciples that after the resurrection the original meaning hasn't changed
Calling a psalm a diss-track is perfect. I had a good laugh at these memes, thank you for this video and the effort you've put in. I have often struggled to get through the book of Psalms, but I think that's because I've tried to read them all in sequence rather than learn them one at a time. I will try out the site you recommended at the end to help learn some to music. Thank you again, God Bless you and keep you my brother
I've been failing terribly and ignoring God lately. Your videos have been incredibly helpful in bringing me closer to God and made me feel genuinely happy for the first time in about a month, thank you. (They also activated my love for nerdy theology again lol)
@@redeemedzoomer6053 You don't believe that A.I. should replace human artists and talent, right? Whats your opinion on it in general? Do you think it's good in any way? Because I don't. And no, I don't need it for my art or music and neither would my future children need either.

It desperately needs to be discussed.
Fun fact. There's also more Psalms that many don't know about. Psalms 151 is in the Orthodox church however *about* every other branch snd sect of Christianity does not. There are more psalms that they dont accept either. (Orthodox church) Psalms 152 to 155 are additional Psalms found in two Syriac biblical manuscripts to date and several manuscripts of Elijah of Anbar "Book of Discipline", first identified by the orientalist librarian Giuseppe Simone Assemani in 1759. Together with Psalm 151 they are also called the Five Apocryphal Psalms of David or the "Five Syriac Psalms". Interesting right?

Hello brother. Good job on this video and well done with your ministry. You have been using your channel well to glorify and honor God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well and to minister to and educate the saints. Also, a big personal thank you for including the link to the Genevan Psalter. I deeply appreciate that as it is extremely helpful to me and a massive blessing from the LORD. You are a monumental blessing from our Father and from our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Well done and keep up the good and faithful work unto the LORD. He is coming soon and we must all love His appearing and be ready for His appearing. I love you brother and God bless you.
This summary was excellent. What I love about this video is how a handful peaked my curiosity based on current spiritual need. After reading the psalm, my soul feels refreshed. I imagine watching this video again at a different time would lead to a different sample. 5 stars, would watch again!

Pretty cool memory but my mom read me Psalm 91 a lot when I was Kidd she told me to always remember it and I would eventually learn it so well I could say it without the text. I didn’t like going to church til I was around 20 and now I know the true meaning of that psalm. Very beautiful to see the lord has been keeping me safe at every moment in my life.
Literally all the atheists are the ones giving dislike to the video... They for sure are extremely raged at your content... But I am christian, and I love it! Greetings from Mexico!
Psalm 88 is my favorite psalm because it reminds me of job Because job gave terrible prayers to God saying terrible things about God But God says Job has honored me And its thanks to tim keller that i see it as so
I also have tried to put pictures to as many psalms as I can. None of my pictures are memes. I've tried to use either biblical stories or biblical symbols. Because the structure of psalms is often chiastic the central idea is often not to be found in the first or last verses. I also have playlists so that each of the 5 books of the psalms can be studied - a task that takes a lot more than 11 minutes and 5 seconds.
Psalm 131 and 141 go hand in hand eloquently when you look at the world through the sacramental lense in according to John Paul II's Theology of the Body.
going through some major doubts currently. Im planning on making my own version of psalm 88. Any tips on how to keep it both personal but also do it in good faith?
I've been reading the psalms every morning for 7 years. I highly recommend the app Divine Office to read Liturgy of the Hours. It has Psalm prayers and canticles for morning prayer, midmorning prayer, midday prayer, midafternoon prayer, evening prayer, and night prayer. It is a free app. My entire prayer life has changed significantly. God talks to me through the Bible and it is evident when He is catching my attention to where it needs to be directed.
