Same I loved the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider movies. Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of both Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander but I feel that Angelina Jolie did a better job as Lara Croft, but Alicia did her best and I applaud her for choices in her career.

I'm new to this franchise too. The original film is not good, but I absolutely LOVE it. I have not seen The Cradle of Life yet, but I want to. I thought the 2018 film was solid, but I'd prefer the style of the 2001 film.

I think the original movie was over the top because the original video game had Lara Croft doing crazy video-world things. They might have been playing to this concept since the movie's only context was the video game.

I only played a bit of a PC game of it. Seen 2 out of the 3 movies. The first one and the Alicia Vikander one. For me, the best one is the new one and it's not even close.

Maybe but it’s certainly not the most memorable or interesting. Like it might be a better made movie, but the original mortal kombat is far more iconic and important

Sean Chandler Talks About The reason uyou did not get the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider is because you haven't experienced playing the older games.... If you had you probably would appreciate it more plus the movie making didn't have too much to go on back then with CGI.... but I'm not going to disagree on you I really love the Alicia Venkanna( I know I'm butchering up the last name) 2018 version.... I know the director of the rebooted movie saying that it's kind of like a prequel to The Original Movies but mainly based on the new game!!!!

I watched my dad playing the PC games when I was a little girl. The first Tomb Raider game I played was Legend, which was great. I also loved Underworld. It’s like Indiana Jones but with a woman..archeology, action, adventure, puzzle solving, etc. I hated the reboot game that game out a few years ago...to much graphic violence and gore and was difficult to play. Rise of the Tomb Raider could’ve been a good game, but there was way too much focus on survival and combat...there was virtually no puzzle solving, which is my favorite part. Plus there’s really nothing at all to do to complete levels once you finished the game...it was all over way too fast. As soon as I thought I’d get to explore, there was more combat. It was more a FPS game not an adventure, puzzle solving game with combat. I’m not at all interested in the new movie, since I didn’t care at all for the story of the reboot or reboot in general.

Yeah the just ripped off Uncharted and made Tomb Raider a 3rd person shooter.... It sucks so much... But the worst thing is what they did to Lara. HOLY FUCK when I saw the first trailer of the 2013 reboot I just busted out laughing. The new Lara is just a bad joke. She went from a strong, grown, badass, lone wolf archaeologist that would even make a mercenary look like a pussy, to whatever new "Lara" is suposed to be. She's just a whiny, annoying, UNFUN bundle of emotions now. The fun thing is, they changed her because old Lara was ObJeCtYfIeD (apperently?), but every female Tomb Raider fan I know just hates the new "Lara" as much as I do. We really need remakes of the old games like Tomb Raider: Anniversary.

the newest one with Alicia Vikander might have the best quality, but Angelina Jolie embodies this badass action hero way better and it comes a lot closer to what I would have imagined Lara Croft would be like.

Yeah, I 100% disagree with your list. I would easily take the two Angelina Jolie movies over the newer one. I'm sorry but the newer one was dull. Everything you didn't like about the Angelina movies is what I loved. Yes, she was over the top. That's what made it FUN! She WAS Lara Croft! It's clear you never played the original games because you have no idea who Lara is. You can keep your grounded and boring Lara. I'll take fun Lara.

Someday. Since there's no new Shrek movie coming out this year it simply isn't something urgent for me. So either when i show them to my kids or a new movie comes out. I don't sit around watching Shrek movies in my free time so they're not fresh on my mind to be able to make a legit ranking of them.

IF you watched these on time.. It's Tomb raider 1 as Best Cradle of life as 2nd And New one as CRAP. i just rewatched it for the who knows 30th time but htis is over the span of 14 years What I HATED about the latest film Was they REMOVED THE SUPERNATURAL aspect. It's kind of a twist at the end. Sucks. But The reason I don't like it is because they should have MERGED the two new ideas together, Old Laura and new laura, Supernatural but Grounded , Could have been super action packed and slight camp, slight rediculousness, Would have been awesome.

I did play the tombraider game back then and i play the reboot games as well now so My ranking is 1 tomb raider 1, 2 tomb raider 2 cradle of life and 3 the worst film in the trilogy is the reboot tombraider movie because i am not at all impressed by it.my favourites are the angelina jolie movies. Wreck-it-ralph is certainly the better film. But it's also not based on a single video game. So it's cheating a bit. Like calling next week's Ready player one a video game movie. My thoughts on infinity war are pretty well captured in my trailer reaction from last week

the three Tomb Raider movie I'm going to have to go with the one from 2001my opinion is that the second Tomb Raider movie from 2003 had too much romanticism lice baytenders Tomb Raider was like an origin story similar to Wolverine Origins done of Tomb Raider the directors of the movie origin story in 2001 instead of waiting until 2018.

1. Tomb Raider 2. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 3. The Cradle of Life The new Tomb Raider was not a good film but it was a fun film. As an adaptation of the 2013 game it nailed the tone but messed too much with the story. I dont need an exact replica but it tried to tell the story of Himiko seen in the game and then just threw it away and made something far less interesting!

Well I had seen Tomb Raider 1, and the latest one. I rewatched the first one. I have to say seeing it so many years later, this ought to be one of stupidest movies I ever saw. As the movie progresses it keeps getting more and more sillier till the end. There is familiar but decent plot at its core but the screenplay is so ridiculous that its frankly a bore and cringeworthy. The only aim of this movie is to showcase Angelina Jolie. She seemed to have complete control over the entire production. The producer, director, screenplay writers and her costars, everybody seemed to be at her calling. I have rarely seem such dominance of one actor over what seemed to be fairly high budget movie. There is no logic and no reason or continuity in this movie. Even with good production values, a decent cast including Jolie who seems very well suited for the role, though she barely makes an effort to act, Tomb Raider completely messes up its story and presentation. I give a 4. Ridiculous is the word for this movie.
