When I heard the RPD would be a map I thought I would get an advantage since I've done several RE 2 runs. But that's when I realized, I don't know where a single generator spawns
@@bubba8751 And we get way more Maps in Future. The Devs Said, that WE get 2 Maps per chapter, because they have so many ideas. Hope they learned how they can balance Maps, because they did pretty Bad in the past with Ormond and Temple of Purgation for the killerside,Dead Dawg Saloon and Hawkins for the survivorside and Midwich and Racoon City for both side
Dead Dawg Saloon seems to me one of the most killer sided maps in the game. It's quite small, has too many unsafe pallets and it's pretty cool for most killers in the game.
As a killer main, I would mostly agree but the advantage it gives me is hardly noticeable. It usually feels like a balanced map due to the amount of survivor sided maps
@@TheKing-wf9esYou do realize that means the killer has over a 50% chance of encountering a survivor sided map? 5 is 1/6 of the entire map count, its a pretty big difference
@@TheKing-wf9es Not a single map is killer sided. Not M1 killer sided anyways. Sure, you have good maps for killers such as Nurse, or the like, but there isn't really any good map for a killer like Pig or Myers.
@@a-vcables lmao trapper wants to trap places the survivors will go and on that map survivors often have no fucking clue where they're supposed to be going.
@@bakaultima nope but, from what I've heard, even people who've played RE2 have a hard time in the map since there aren't any totems, pallets, ect. in RE2.
I don’t get why killers are being so sweaty on this map instead of focusing on memorizing the layout and where everything is? Even when the map had like .3% change of spawning every time it did for me the killers tried to immediately end the game ASAP.
@@bakaultima you're being a bit unfair, in around forty games that I played that day I was there once, and I only mentioned pallets as an example of someone who has played RE2 still not having an easy time finding gens, totems, or easily finding themselves in a dead zone. I'm happy that y'all commenting are good with the map tho, y'all are just being a little unfair too.
Yea maybe he should have placed it lower because most of the loops aren't strong and its very easy to down people on dead dawg. As a wraith main i generally always 4k on that map since the map isn't that big, has some nice sightlines, bad loops for survivors, and generally gens I can monitor without problem.
@@churro3710 I don't even think, the loops are that bad, but what really helps killers, is that the saloon is just so god damn small. Any killer with improved movement speed dominates survivers
I definitely agree with Coal Tower and Father Campbell's Chapel being high up; those are maps I'm happy to see whether I'm playing Killer or Survivor. It's interesting to me that in general, the fairest map sets are the oldest ones.
No one else seems to be bringing this up but I want to just talk about it now They did Disturbed Ward horrible, it went from one of the most balanced maps to badham levels of bullshit, I haven't had one good killer match since the rework, even when I win, I find no fun in it, it's wayyy too big compared to the old map and the gen spread mixed with the asylum blocking the center makes it super hard to multitask, in my opinion I'd put this map around the same level as badham, not as unfair as haddonfield, but bad enough to make me want to complain about it after every match I get of it. Luckily, Father Campbell's Chapel stayed a great and balanced map.
I hate corn as survivor. Because, sure, it blocks the sight of the killer, but those are also huge dead zones for survivors. If you're working on a gen in the cornfield you're almost sure you'll get hit without spintburst.
Me and my three friends who would always play DBD used to hate dead dawg whenever it first came out, but we all began to like it recently and it has grown on us a lot
I dunno. The gas station with the doors not broke can be good if you catch a survivor on a gen in the garage cause the survivor isnt going to get out without taking a hit.
I believe the new Lampkin Lane is the most balanced, even better than coal Tower. A survivor that knows how to loop it, or someone who watched literally any single HALLOWEEN film, will cause big trouble for killers. But, a survivor that doesnt knows how to loop it, is going to die fairly easy.
Every time I have played dead dog saloon the killer has gotten a 4K unless someone got hatch, it’s just so open and and only like 2 gens have any blockage to hide behind while you fix it, it’s just never been a fun or fair time for me
Yeah, because it's the Most killersided Map in the whole Game. And this guy is arguably a Killermain, because He put the Second Most killersided Map (Wreckers Yard) at the 8 best Map. And Suffocation Pit over Ironworks of Misery. This Guy is Just a entitled Killermain
I do not play a lot of dbd, and when I do play it's custom games with my friends, but I really like RPD. I have never played it as killer, since I have somehow managed to end up on midwitch every time I have played killer, but as survivor it's really a lot of fun. Even though it's massive it doesn't really feel like it tbh.
I love rpd so so much! Survivors have next to no way to evade detection, you can have some BRUTAL 3 gens, and there's very little variety between rounds.
I find it interesting how a lot of the worse maps are liscenced Ig they weren't really designed to be fair and just to be faithful to what they are like in their Film/TV show/Game
I like outside maps that don't lead to dead ends and confusion to where I am going. I hate the elementary school building I get lost easily and feel like the killer is always near me and I panic and don't know which way to run.
@@evilaya5908 it is true only the indoor maps not the game are the best killers maps but they are not fun and not for every killer strong and azarovs rest place and another one is a bit on the side of the killer and so extreme as the maps for surv where everyone knows at least three maps that are extremly surv sided
I actually like midwich, due to the nature of it, it's usually safe in the side rooms as those rooms have a lot of good loops and hiding spots, with the halls feeling super dangerous, but you need to explore them if you want to traverse the map quickly, I also like the atmosphere, it does a good job replicating the atmosphere of silent hill.
gas heaven seems really low to me and honestly i'd have hawkins as second worst and lery's lower, but at the same time i'm a huntress main so i guess i'm pretty biased lmao
Can't believe Shelter Woods is so high. It's the perfect map to represent how repetitve this game gets in no time, even the "most fun" part of it: the chase. There are barely any pallets to go around and apart from the repetitive jungle gym kinda tiles which always play the same all you got are 2 (or so) pallets between 2 rocks and a bunch of trees. No way of being creative except for running around a tree and hoping the killer swings early like a noob. The fact that everyone knows you run out of pallets in no time also encourages genrush because you don't wanna end up with 0 pallets and resulting 10 second chases against good killers at 2+ gens left. Yet I've never been very consistent with DBD so maybe I'm missing out on all the great experiences Shelter Woods has to offer, even the close games I have on that map are just obnoxious because of how dull it is. I play both sides, more so survivor though so maybe that influences my opinion of it somewhat but I don't remember any particularly fun matches on that map as killer either.
I sorta like RPD, I don't know why. It just feels satisfying to navigate? It is MUCH too large though, and wish they'd taken some creative liberties and changed it up a bit, similar to how it is in ReVerse.
idk why so many people say dead dwag saloon is killer sided when literally the gens are imposible to get to and survivors have MANY ways to escape them since they know where the killer is coming, there are also many 2 floor structures that make killers waste a ton of time and the map is full of breakeable walls that make loops op unless you break them wich also takes time. I say this being a rank 1 killer and almost 1/5 games i find as a killer are in this map because survivors burn offerings just to play in this broken map
Hadonfield sucks when your fellow survivors don't prioritize the main gen in the middle. I just count it as loss from the get go when I play solo lmao.
bro no way in hell dead dawg saloon should be 2 on this list, it is extremely painful to play as killer, having to spend 10 hours breaking every breakable wall, and the loops at the top part of the map are so confusing that i always end up losing the survivor, not to mention the shit ton of bushes everywhere for survivor to hide in
My favourite map is definetly the wild west one I just like the idea and mainly I think it is very farely balanced it really took second place which is great. But I have noticed something wrong with dbd there are literally just a few maps on loop i haven't gotten the saloon probably the last 40 games :(
What happened to Hawkins anyways?, I didn't play for a long while and only came back just before Sadako release and it seems the map just doesn't exist anymore?
ok but how is Lery's not considered the worst map ever? it's shit for both killers and survivors. here's why: survivors - there are literally no generators there. yes, sure, Hawkins is making it hard to find gens too, but you can learn their potential locations by heart in like 10 matches or so (speaking from experience). also, the central place of the map is so fucking loud and full of flashing lights that you can't neither hear a heartbeat nor see a killer. killers - loop space. loop space. loop space. also the flashing lights and noise in the centre of the map. basically fuck Lery's.
also is it just me or is it almost impossible to randomly get a Thompson House map? like my in-game level is 100 or so and I've only played on this map twice or thrice in my life. ah, and I've never seen a Blood Lodge map. and by never, I mean NEVER. does it even still exist?
I think Midwich should be far higher. It's very fair for both sides, and very scary/atmospheric. My only issue with it is that it takes so bloody long to walk from one end of the map to the other in order to get to some stairs and get to the second level. But besides that there is really nothing about the map I dislike
The Game map is terrible in terms of structures. It’s all safe, amazing pallets with like 17 of them. Hawkins is killer sides for the opposite reason. all pallets are unsafe except a few
I got RPD as survivor 2 times, and both time it got me fuming. Not only it oversize, but its convoluded as hell. I felt like killers (which both was console players) gave up to acctuly search for survivors and camped me till i die, while team were lost and couldnt get to me or havent enough time Would be good idead to cut this map in 2 half with both having central hall.
@@21by9 cause to reach a gen survivors have to move using the hallways, I can just blink to the gen. at first it's hard cause you can get easily juked when missing a blink, but if you are a good nurse you can get the 4k even in maps like these
Not really. Lery's, Midwitch, Hawkins, Wretched Shop, Wreckers yard, and Shelter Woods are all definetly killet sided, but there's definitely more survivor sided maps and on average they are definitely more broken
The fact he said RPD is the worst shows he is clearly not speaking from an unbiased perspective and is clearly speaking from a Survivor perspective. So remember when watching this video that he means the worst to best maps for Survivors. If you’re a Killer the best maps are at the beginning.
first game in RPD was as a clown and the survivors complained that i was sweating. how could i have been sweating? i was lost, half the game, asking myself "where the f*ck am i? oh, hi meg."
Yeah, I don't often play killer but when I do, I usually get accused of tunneling or smth like that when I'm honestly just lost and happening across survivors lol
speak for yourself lol swamp is one of my favorite map, most survivor don't like it because it have a few pallets but in counterpart you don't need pallet because this map have god like window and that's why most people don't like since 3/4 of survivor are garbage or boosted they don't know how to loop with it
@@elirose8961 I remember first encounting Myers when I first played the game. I'd be not paying attention, casually repairing a generated and suddenly spotting him staring at me from like 5 feet away
Survivors should be in first person so the horror aspect can become better and more noticeable. Maybe give survivors the leaking ability that ghostface has
Mothers Dwelling is fun but it's so confusing, you'll start a gen, get chased then it takes 10 minutes to find the gen again because all the sides look the same.
Yes, I can agree that Dead Dog Saloon is controversial, mostly in that it is heavily favored towards the killer. It's arguably too small because the gens are very close together and most are visible from one another, giving survivors little time to for gen completion unless they are good at chases and loops. Also it is ideal for ranged killers such as Huntress, who always use the saloon as a perch and can effectively keep gens protected without having to move the entire game.
I hate that map. No matter which gens you do it’s basically going to be a 3gen cause it’s so damn small. Takes 10 seconds to walk from one side to the other and the pallets suck. Only advantage you’ll get is becoming a blendette and hiding in a bush
They just need to get rid of 2 or 4 houses (1 or 2 on each side of the map) and generally make it smaller. That and nerf the windows that can spawn in certain houses like any of the 2 story ones or the actual "main building" basement window
@@acid689 another thing that would be beneficial is to make more hooks that are closer together. Anytime I play on Haddonfield it feels like I have to walk miles before getting to a hook.
@@spiderman-rg7cf man is this a retarded idea... Not only is a 2 killer mode never gonna work simply because there's not enough resources but also letting the killers use each others abilities?.. Are you okay? Ah yes i love a bubba blinking through a wall then chainsawing me. Flawless design
Tbh i love trolling my friends on the rpd map because they don't know it well but because i played re2 a bunch when ever I'm killer i get the w. However when im a survivor its much different lol
Shelter woods deserves to be #32(not really). There are almost no pallets and the tiles are randomized which means you could literally get a map full of TLs and not a single pallet
Shelter Woods is arguably the only Map,who is completely RNG dependent. When Survivors have Bad RNG it can be pretty killersided. But the Map becomes very survivorsided when the RNG is in their favour. A little bit sad, that they made Not the Map smaller when they reworked it.Too compensate they could add two or three Pallets with a tiny shelter hut
