There's a lot to unpack here. Thank you for providing this resource for me to return and reference. I am new to orchid growing and enjoy the challenges this new hobby has. I appreciate your participation in this colab.
Very informative video! What I learned most from you was to remain calm. Your quiet and calm approach makes it seem like it’s not that bad and don’t sweat the small stuff. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Been enjoying your videos for a couple of years. 😀
Thanks Paige! It’s an approach I take with most things in life...control what you can and let nature do the rest. Enjoy the process and let the results be a bonus! Good luck 🍀 😁
There is some great progress happening! Your breakdown of different maturity sizes, very informative! Thank you so much for doing this, joining in and taking the time to upload the video! 😻😻😻 have a wonderful Sunday, Jess 🌸
I really loved this CareCollab! So many different ways to approach this topic...I learn so much from everyone’s video! Thanks for setting it up and organizing! 😁
You are wonderful with all stages of seedlings with improved experience !! Thank you for sharing, this is a referance video to look for. Have a great sunday!!!!
Thanks for the care tips Jess 😊🙏. I really liked the comparison of the different genera by age, size and time between deflasking and blooming, it was very informative. Thanks for sharing 😊🙏
You’re welcome! I had these plants already and they do make great examples of what to expect. Sometimes it’s hard to know unless you can see the different stages 😁
I really like your breakdown of different maturity sizes. And you also have quite a few precious ones 😻😻😻 Always a joy to watch your videos (and to wait for the kitty cameos haha)
Really great that you added the difference between seedlings. :) I was so settled to think my deflasked seedlings are the seedlings and the ones outside the paludarium are young plants. I actually give mine quite the heavy feed, but I never let them get bonedry, so I guess that's why they haven't burned the roots. Hope you are well. :)
Sounds like you’re doing great with seedlings! We all have different environments so it’s expected that we do some things differently. Don’t need to make changes if it’s working for you 😁
@@AttainableGreen I made some mistakes and bought some new orchids Seedlings. Want to take all help and don't want to kill them. Also, I started wirh orchids flasking and replating and starting getting some results. Wanted to know if you use a heating mat, fans and light - leds just after repotting the seedlings.
@Daniel JHEELAN I use LED lights for all seedlings (not super strong, just enough for phal level light). As for heating mats, I only use them in the winter at night to keep temps above 65F...the rest of the time, they do well in my warmer conditions. No fan, but it would probably help with air circulation. I tend to have seedlings dry out in my summer temps and stay too wet during winter...so those are the ways I compensate for my environment. Good luck! 😁
I purchased all these flasks. My own flasking project hasn't produced seedlings that are ready to be deflasked yet, but it might be coming in late 2023.
