Teba, the one true Rito Champion, the one deserving of the "I'm better than you attitude" who doesn't display that attitude. Teba best bird! Nearly as much Best Boy Energy as Sidon!
Y'know this is truely funny to me due to the fact I use a turbo controller when playing this and when I use Teba especially, I turn on the turbo function and his bow sounds like an SMG.
Lol yeah his BOTW story was so underwhelming. Teba: bahaha u shrimp 🍤 I'm the best archer duh. Try to shoot 3 of these things in 2 minutes and I may respeck u 3 seconds later... Teba: say no more, we ride to vah medoh
@@msl9927 tbh an explanation of why teba gave you three minutes is because most hylians would probably jump off the platform and instantly die. Even the ones who had paragliders probably couldn't even hit a single target in that time limit.
@@catalyst539 No, people do remember him a lot from botw. Mainly BECAUSE he was an absolute joke. Just because you main him in age of calamity doesn't mean that lore wise he's some gift from the gods(I can tell just how biased you are considering how you've talked about kogha on 5 different comments.).
They definitely made up for his small screen time in Breath of the Wild. The moment they announced Age of Calamity, I was excited to see how they handled Teba (I knew they wouldn't be able to resist including Fish Husbando, so I knew they'd work the Future Champions in somehow.) And they definitely did him justice. He was honestly my second favorite of the Future Champions (Yunobo was my favorite mostly because he was just so different from how we see Goron typically act).
For me Teba is my favourite of the future Champions because he is the most... Normal. He aint a prince or a leader, he didnt inherited some sort of superpower. He is just a random Guy who trained enough to be the best of his tribe, by just sheer effort.
@@darkanayer5867 Agreed along with Recall. They got strong (stronger than or one of the one strongest in the champions or successors) from working while the rest are strong but were either royalty or inherited a special power (even Link was born into a family of knights in high ranks)
There are 2 notes to add here. 1, his strong attacks only end in bomb arrows AFTER his enhanced ability is unlocked. 2. His wild spin attack recharges his special gauge at Sonic levels of speed if you have a crowd
Finally, my boy gets some respect on his name! Teba has always been my favorite of the four "descendant" characters, so it's awesome that he's just so powerful and fun to play. Never get tired of putting stasis and seeing a boss' health bar shrink afterwards.
I feel in weakness breaking he has to still contend with Mipha who if you know how to use her pretty much is always attacking weak point gauges almost non-stop thanks to her fountains which require less start up. Because of her three different healing options she can easily be one of the most aggressive characters in the game she can get damage greedy without much repercussion.
I Love how when Revali and Teba fly around the fields , while holding their Bow&Arrows with their Talons(Feet). I usually not a Bow&Arrow fan, unless it's needed , but those 2 look fun to play as.
The moment I pulled off Teba's YYX for the first time and saw him flapping his wings while shredding that bow with his feet, I knew I was in for something special.
In my most recent playthrough, I just got Teba and put some time into understanding his kit and oh man, I have absolutely come to enjoy it. He's got so much power and his dad jokes are the perfect way to cap it off 😂
Teba completely trivializes the Hair-Width Trial missions. I used to farm rupees on the beginner trial using Teba and the quickest I've done it (by abusing his unique action) was 27s. the loading screen is the biggest time sink when I did this.
I already thought Teba was one of the most OP characters in the roster, and that was before I realized I could keep charging ZR while doing other things. Out of curiosity, wouldn't strong attack damage up be better or is it the same, since all of them ARE midair attacks?
That airborne rapid-fire is insanely destructive and op. Also, at that speed and sound, it almost feels like he has a machine gun instead. Geez Teba, stop flexing on the enemy! He's already dead!
Yep! I like to get up real close to enemies to hit them with it when they initially fire, and let them rain down while doing other attacks. I also like to charge up the special attack while moving around so by the time I get to another stronghold I blast everything, and have tons of over-time damage from that plus the basic strong attack. Destroys everything.
At first I didn’t really like either of the Rito characters. Then I realized that I can spam the Y button while in midair when using Revali or the X button with Teba. And when you add Aerial damage seals the DPS gets insane.
One thing to mention about his YYX extension is that if you don’t press the analog stick any direction you can stand still whilst doing the attack making it great for taking down weak points
Y, Y, X while holding his unique action charge. Not even a Malice Lynel, Astor, Harbinger Ganon, or Calamity Ganon himself can be spared from a fully leveled Teba doing this.
More like the framerate becomes ridiculous. I thought Zelda using the Sheikah Slate was insane just smashing the buttons but Teba is on a whole new level. If you use attack speed ++ on him you can't literally keep up with him, the cap is just too high for your fingers 😅
You can even guard while charging ZR, and having your guard break from strong attacks doesn't count towards resetting the charge, so hiding behind your shield to charge is a... strategy.
I’d love to see Sidon next! He’s definitely my favorite, great area clearing, great focused damage, range, the ability to give yourself armor, all he’s really missing is some really stand out runes but none of his are bad, just not outstanding.
I really liked playing as Teba almost immediately. The crowd control is practically unparalleled. His ability to hover and fly makes it harder for enemies to hit you so you can focus on raining down damage everywhere. One of my absolute favorites in this game.
Teba was one of my favorites almost as soon as I unlocked him. It started with his C2 being one of the best early weak point shredders in the game, and that was before I even knew how godlike his Stasis was. The only thing about him that could really be considered a weakness is his inability to force WPGs, and that barely matters, because once he is properly optimized, he is strong enough to kill many enemies without ever even needing to SEE it!
6:59 That is incorrect. The combo does not automatically move him forward: he will stay in the same spot if you don't move the directional button. Apologies if I came off blunt, but as someone who has Teba as my main, that part was a mistake.
Teba was one of my favs as soon as I picked him up, he's really enjoyable to play. Also OH MY GOD you taught me a LOT about his Cinetis rune, I thought it only hit one target.
Riju and Teba started out as two of my least favorite units since I had no idea how to control them. Now Riju is my main and Teba is my preferred crowd demolisher. It’s amazing how quickly opinions can change once you understand how to utilize a character!
@@amster8821 When you unlock his last strong attack combo the one that makes loads of bouncing balls then use that. Until then just make an electro ball and spam X to destroy it
Interesting note: if you stasis an enemy with weak point up, you can do two full reps of 2nd heavy/combo (whatever you wanna call it) attack into a fully charged unique action, and after that you can land and do the weak point smash. absolutely decimates enemies and so far to me is the best way to shred when a weak point is up
I genuinely hated playing as Teba at first and avoided doing so because I didn’t understand him. Then on one of the missions where he was a required character I realized that I was absolutely annihilating some guardians with him and I had no idea why.
Ok I just did a run with Teba, I knew he was good but after watching this video I think he’s the best character in the game. Even on very hard he plows through enemies like they are nothing! Thank you for this video! It helped optimize my gameplay with him!
Teba is a really strong attack. For me, its versatility makes him pretty strong. Practically on each strong attack you can kill crowds while focusing on a single strong enemy.
@@skaionex In your opinion, that is. I love Kohga to death and his Big Glowy Blast DESTROYS Weak Point Gauges. Shane has a guide on him if you don’t know how he works.
@@catalyst539 I know how he works, he's just not even top 5 characters. Most would agree. He has a lot of weak points as well. His runes are pretty poor in comparison to others. Theres a lot better characters over all. Most consider him bottom 5 characters.
Teba's playstyle, unlike say the Great Fairies, was something I understood almost immediately and I could just tell how strong he is which just compounded into liking him even more
his shock at revali’s behavior is hilarious, and it’s even more hilarious how urbosa knew where it was going and told him to basically not start shit with the bird champion
It's really worth noting that his bomb arrow combo finishers are his enhanced ability. Normally before getting the enhancement his attacks will end with regular arrows instead. That said, the bomb arrow enders give him a better weak gauge smasher if you time it out properly.
i hadnt been using teba at all since i got him, he felt so unwieldy, but then i watched this video again and it got me interested in using him. and then i learned hes one of the best characters... i guess it helps i picked up an 80 power, level 1 bow at some point lol btw kudos on the rapid fire uploads, i know these guides cant be easy to make all the time, especially keeping up with the dlc!
An important Teba tip that helps if you have a bit of the weak point left from a boss is once you finish his X barrage, you can keep pressing Y right after it ends for extra strong arrows to shoot after.
My favorite thing to do with Teba is to Stasis immediately as a weak point guage shows up and then stand right up in front of them, charge up the zr and spam the first strong attack. Finally release zr once the strong attack naturally finishes and it will always be at it's max charge. This is basically guaranteed to break the weak point and get in a ton of damage afterwards without even using a weak point smash.
My second most used character, i find Teba so fun to play. Thanks for your videos it help me to understand characters i didn't know how to play properly (like the fairies)
You do an excellent job at creating these tutorials. This is how I learned how to use Riju properly, so thank you very much for the help. There are so many good characters in this game, its hard to choose a favorite. Teba...I had to practice with him to figure him out and now he is absolutely busted and just wrecks everything. I am aiming (LOL) to try and get all Mid-Air Attack Damage ++ seals on him even though I have 100%'d the game already. When I replay the game, I now know what seals to be looking for this time around. I hope we get some dlc in the future and some other characters added in to the roster, as well as some more backstory that we were told would happen but didn't. Urbosa's relationship to the Queen of Hyrule...yeah we never got that...which also doesn't help to make the connection to why she calls Zelda "Little Bird" if you haven't played Champion's Ballad.
I'm really enjoying your guides! many of the guides both online and on youtube seem to not fully look into characters before builds. Seems like every character has a lot of potential where most people have been writing off them. ie. Fairy, Zelda, and Daruk
Geez, I didn't even realize that his Stasis actually locked-on to enemies while you aimed it, I was perfectly happy just popping it instantly to keep single targets in place for 5 years. Imagine thinking something's already broken and then you realize you weren't even maxing out its potential. Mathematically though, you definitely get WAY more damage output off of maxing Mid-Air Attack seals. Tacking an extra 40% bonus onto a roughly 150-strength weapon will certainly add more than 5 strength when the character is nothing but Mid-Air Attacks.
Man, Nintendo really had to hurt Teba during the assault on Vah Medo so the bird dilf didn't blitz through the dungeon at ungodly speed before ABSOLUTELY DESTROYING Wind Blight, huh. He 100% could've done that by himself.
Teba is my favourite character, I like his play style, at the same time however, I don’t feel like I overused him similar to what happened in the original hyrule warriors with master sword link. Although teba was my first warrior to get to lvl 100, then most of the rest were levelled up with rupees. Plus, I recently got 2 ++ midair attack seals so I’m gonna try to get him a master bow. It’s only at lvl 16 rn though so I need to grind
Definitely hoping for Sidon soon; he's one of my favorites, and I want to know once and for all if he's as good at breaking weakpoints as he feels like.
Unlocked him today. Had Revali as my main before this. Revali is great and all, but holy shit, Teba feels so good to play. His movements feel a lot like Marco in pirate warriors to me. I really loved his moveset as well. Definitely going to play him a lot.
Glad he's so good; he was my favorite from BotW, His professional attitude and easygoing acceptance of Link's confidence and lack of nonsense was just a fun contrast to the others.
My favorite is charging his ZR move. He can decimate a field of bokoblins in 1 full charge as he safely wanders through the raining bombs he sends out.
Teba seems like a weird combination between a machine gun and a sniper rifle.... with wings. Can't wait for the Revali vid to compare this two; I cant tell them appart yet (not played just watched a ton of footage)
One really good thing to crowd control is his Y Y X attack, after he shoots the bomb arrows you can quickly press B to ride the wind and then click Y Y Y this is a really good way to extend his combo
You can get his unique attack basically dropping bomb arrows 24/7 since the bomb time exceeds the charge time, and you can stack this with both the first strong attack’s arrows going up and coming back down. If not for how stupidly strong his stasis is, you could also toss Cryonis in for extra hits. The moment a weak point gauge pops up, it gets shattere.
My favorite character in the roster! It's insane how much Teba eats up weak point gauges, all you need to do is use Stasis when they are exposed, then YX and mash X. He can completely decimate even Lynel shields with ease.
It says something about how strong this guy is that when I unlocked him and went to test out his moveset, I ran into four different things (C2, C3, C6, Stasis) that made me say "That's _broken_ how did that get past testing?"
