I recieved my first Henry (Goldenboy H004) last night in appreciation for many years of service and contribution to a local chapter of Whitetails Unlimited. CANNOT WAIT to get it out and try it.
Please make a brass upper for the new Supreme lever action line, I literally can't stop imagining the brass supreme in my hands since I saw that you perfected the lever action platform. The brass supreme with a corbon barrel is a recent dream of mine.
This past February I picked up my H024 side gate 45-70. The video you did featuring the H024 put me over the edge. I love the engraving on the stocks, so classy and well done. It has proven to be incredibly accurate with my handloaded ammunition. Believe it or now, I was able to shoot less than 1" at 100yds with it using the factory sights and sandbags from a bench. I have the video for that on my channel if you'd like to check it out. Thanks for posting this video, I love my Winchesters too but I'm absolutely proud to be a member of the Henry family!
Can you find .22 Hornet ammo? Hell I can't even find highbrass loads for 20 or 12 now. But for hog hunting you can use pretty much anything from .22 Rimfire to 500 Nitro. I am a hog hunter all year long. I use .22LR and WMR, either 5.56NATO and .223 Rem depending on deer season, my TC Seneca 36 and TC Hawken .50 and hate the in line front stuffer. Back in 2000 my mom and step-dad bought me a Springfield O/U survival gun for Christmas. .22 Hornet on top and .410 on the bottom. Fun to shoot but I can't find the Hornet Ammo.
I love my brass Henry's,and my steal models, including the frontiers. I would love one of the "original Henrys". You should yours in a few more hunting videos. I have a brass 17 golden boy on order.
@@crocketgsxr6 I know! Omg I was looking at their website and trying to trick myself into just getting the 30-30 a few weeks ago, and they put up a broken link tho the 357 side gates. I called and they said it was supposed to go live the next day! I’m just waiting to get mine from the shop I’m so happy!
Henry with side-plate and tube load is the best design in my opinion. The 45/70 is awesome looking but I want a pistol grip stock. It only comes in the steel case harden version. But that finish is classic so I may get one in that. For the semi-pistol grip stock.
Well Cody does a customer need to buy them in parts and assemble them themselves? I know from experience that your companys customer service isn't willing to get the firearms to buyers, so My money went to CVA....good luck folks finding what you're looking for with Henry....you'll need it.
I have 3 Henry Rifles and they are all amazing. Favorites in my collection and will be passed down to my son. However, I have had two more in order at my FFL since May 2020 and not even a peep of news. They tell me to be patient and when it arrives they will let me know. I get all the world issues but with as much promotion and such as Henry does I feel like I have really been patient enough. I also wrote Henry directly and never got a response, that is all disappointing from a company I have loved and a product I have cherished.
Now we need "All About The Color Case Hardening"...where are they all? Waiting forever to get one and unwilling to be price gouged by scurrilous retailers. How about an update regarding the current state of affairs with supply?
I put Remington gun oil on my brass it blurred it out. I called Henry twice the lady said I will have someone to call you back. The second call the man said someone will call you back. Two years later. No call.
Henry brass is sure Pretty, but for strength and durability, I prefer my 2016 1895 CB 45-70 Remington made steel is what I like!! Also you can tell the difference when you rack the levers, the Remington made Marlin 1895 was made with close tolerances on CNC machines this is why it doesn’t have that cracking glass sound like a Henry does!! It has a tight, sure, strength - like sound!! Quality and bullet - proof difference? Could be!! Don’t get me wrong I do think Henry lever guns are good lever guns, and I do think the brass receivers remind us of the former lever gun days in the later 1800’s. I do not like tube loading. If Henry would make one model 1895 45-70 without tube loading and only side gate loading I would buy one!! If they do make one, my sincere apologies!!
Henry tempers their brass hit and hard, so it’s basically the same properties as steel but a different look. I’ve only heard bad things about the Remington Marlins, but good on the new Ruger models. But if you’ve had good luck with them congratulations. If a gun works it works. I’m honestly just a Henry fanboy.
From everything I've seen from reviews and testing from individuals, the Henry 45-70 is very inaccurate, rather large grouping, no matter the ammo. The Marlin proved to be much more accurate.
I just got a Marlin 3030 for same accuracy & finish as the Marlin SBL :-);;; you can’t beat the Henry checkering & rose inlay!!! the kids & grandkids will be fighting over either but you already know boys girls young and old are going to want that checkered rose 🌹 finish Henry ;;; they are heritage gun art screw spending $6000 on a tacticool 1911 when you can have a Henry 45-70 that is a passport to whole globe of hunting for $1100!!
