William Carver was the only villian in this series that was actually intimidating and threatening unlike all of the other villians. He was the only villian the cast was afraid of and the only villian they took seriously out of fear of what he might do. Sad he died as quickly as he did.
The Stranger was also a bit scary but for far different reasons. Not as much as Carver, but him targetting a child to kidnap specifically let off alarm bells in my head. Initially I thought he was some sort of pedophile, not a father with his sanity slipping.
Unfortunate that we didn't get more screen time for Carver. But in what we got, he left an impact. His fall was one of the most satisfying things this series has to offer and he did lot with what little time he had. Besides, he impacts the whole season and drove the story forward. Even after his death I couldn't stop thinking about all that he said. "Lambs to the slaughter. No shepherd to guide you. Let the sheep outta the pen, see how long that lasts.". The group leaves How's 11 strong at most, and within just a few days, only 1-2 remain. And Clem never forgets about Carver either, she can mention him in Seasons 3 and 4. Not to mention AJ and his similarities to Carver. It's never confirmed who his father is, and you can't tell by looking at him because he has the same skin and hair as Rebecca. But there are _a lot_ of parallels between things said by/to/about Carver and things said by/to/about AJ. There's so many it feels deliberate. And it makes more sense from a storytelling standpoint for AJ to be Carver's son. I didn't go into details on the parallels because there's already and amazing video pointing them all out called "AJ and Carver -- Just like his father" or something like that. But yeah, Carver was the best villain in the series.
I'm only going to say it once: Carver was my personal best Villain from any installment of The Walking Dead aside from The Governor. I strongly believe this guy should've been alive until Episode Five, because he would have triumphantly been a huge deal of Clementine's Evolution in S2. Imagine that Carver is the Villain that Clementine must take down in order to mature beyond an apprehensive level than any other child around her age before she takes care of AJ...on her own. I really wish someone at TTG caught a glimpse of this idea and ran with it to the fullest potential. That, and his motif is AMAZING. Constantly come back to him on this track alone
The way Carver is presented in this game is the most threatening thing in the whole Walking dead. From the very first episode of S2, he is subtly hinted on as some "big bad." Rebecca is reluctant about saving Clem as she might be working with him. Despite how little he was talked about, The second he appears in the window, the player immediately thinks "Is this the Carver guy they were talking about?" And in the end of the episode, everything comes full circle.
Killing carver off so soon was a big mistake they could have done more with him and we never learned about his back story and why he became the way he was which was a shame

@@alexcole9325I do think that's what happened. In spite of his violence, beneath it, you could see he tried to hold it together. Be reasonable, in his own way. But the bigger picture overwhelmed him. Ergo, I think before, he was decent.
@@JabamiLain More than likely, yes. I liked him, he was complex, violent, and undoubtedly crazed. But he got stuff done, he was right in some regards, and his words pretty much haunt the rest of the series. Carver was an awesome villain!
@@alexcole9325indeed. Part of how I played my story was meant to represent some of Carver's behavior passing on to Clem, with her struggling to balance it. It seemed the most realistic way to portray her PTSD (and I guess I kinda wanted some of Carver's strength, but without all the craziness). You know, a part of me wished a character like him existed in "Kingdom Hearts". I was recently led to believe the character named Aqua might be too weak for the role she's supposed to carry.
Carver is my favourite villian in the TWD game you know what would've made season 2 very very dark if it gave you the option to side with carver that would be unreal clementine turning evil
I wished we had that option. I'd explore the heck out of that timeline. Plus, I don't think it's out of character for her. Clem can be pretty ruthless and cruel if you let her (which I did, don't need guys getting any funny ideas around me). And in that scene at her office, there was never any (Lie) before her dialogue options, implying that she might be sincere in her words to him. Plus, she admits she liked the warehouse, as it had everything they required. So, yes. Sorry Kenny. But I need to think of the bigger picture. Communities are stronger than small groups. Not all last, it's true, but you need to try, especially if you have any hope of rebuilding the world.

Too bad he only appeared in two episodes (not counting the finale of season two and the fourth episode of season three as he only appeared as a corpse if you stayed with Jane).
The ending would've been scarier if after player decided to protect Alvin, Carver would've shot him anyway and held Clem at gunpoint. He really would've been a Badass Telltale Negan but unfortunately he's more of Governor.
@@Scarlet_Officer In episode 5 if you go back to How's with Jane. You can see his corpse completely unmoved, meaning he was beaten so bad that he didn't even turn.
@@Scarlet_Officer No prob. His corpse also reappears in a season 3 Jane flashback where she uses him as an example by telling Clem "This is the kind of sh!t Kenny was capable of." And if you watched his death in season 2 she adds "Don't know how you were able to watch that."
