Check your crash sensor on the front, being up north corrosion gets into the sensor and makes it bulge up and causes that light. Get a new sensor and it should fix it right up

Normally the airbag light won’t set unless a connector comes loose. work at a dealership, seen it many times there are also impact sensors in the front and rear bumpers that go bad. Scan tool should give you a code, look into the code online and it should lead you to the problem

Airbag lite is one of the 2 sensors along the bottom of the radiator support either broken or exposed wire

I just did the Kryptonite upper A arms, DMax Store lower arms with Kryptonite ball joints, Kryptonite sway bar end links, and new GM torsion bars. I already had changed the steering gear and idler/pitman arms along with new PPE stage 3 tie rod ends a couple years ago. Your video was pretty much spot on with one discrepancy I noticed. That was when you said to turn on the key to unlock the steering wheel. You don’t need to turn the key on because those trucks don’t have a steering wheel that locks.

For me, it was a choice between Redhead and PSC. I did a ton of research, and I found quite a few guys that had lots of issues with Redhead boxes. I went with PSC, and this thing is solid. I'd highly recommend PSC gears.

My truck had the same light. Look under the carpet on driver side where the wiring harness is. I had some corroded wires. Fixed those and the light went off. Should be a yellow and green wire twisted together.

I know their is a sensor under the front bumper prone to cracking. The check wiring under your passenger seat for the air bag light

Check the clocking spring

Check the code, my 2009 had a bad impact sensor causing an airbag light. It was a 20 minute job, sensor was in a weird spot but easy enough to replace.

That airbag light should be the front impact sensors, both went bad on my 05. They corrode over time. Super easy fix!

I did the alignment on this after it was done, for real guys, if you're driving a classic style you gotta do this to your steering! It's so tight and feels like a car instead of a sloppy truck!! It's amazing! Jake pull codes, that'll tell you which sensor needs addressed!

Check the sensors in the front. You can see them through the bumper. One on each side.

Great video. I haven't had any luck with Kryptonite. I went through 2 set of ball joints, 2 pitman arms, and passenger side death grip tierods with in 2 years. They honor their warranty in replacements no problem. I have a 07 lbz, 6" lift with 35's.

Jake if you could read the code, it might be as simple as an impact sensor

Thats how my lmm steering is. Have new control arms, cv axles, idler arm/ idler arm bracket, and tie rod ends

I did this exact swap on my 05 LLY. the Kryptonite kit and the redhead gear box are awesome. I'm glad I went this route. Question, did you paint the idler support bracket? That thing will rust FAST, especially in the rust belt.

May need to replace the clock spring, when you change the batter and the different batteries have different voltages I will mess up some of the electrical stuff

Used bluetop gearbox and love the tight steering with all kryptonite upgrades

The airbag light 9/10 is a cracked sensor on the front bumper or wiring for the sensors

to fix the airbag light, replace the front impact sensor, had the same problem on my 05GMC many moons ago.

Jake, check the wiring behind the kick panel on the drivers side. Sometimes when I just kick that panel my air bag light shuts off.

Look into doing the LML hydro boost upgrade. Also look into stainless power steering lines. It’s a great upgrade to what you are already doing. PS: I’ve done everything you have with the addition of a 4.5 BDS, Kryptonite upper control arms, and dual shock hoop. 👍🏼. Keep up the great work.

I have one question. Why work on the ground if the truck is on a lift? Raise that thing up and stand up to work. You can move a lot faster if you do that.

Love my redhead feels amazing especially since my 05 had about 270xxx miles when I changed it especially paired with the kyptonite idler and pitman just need to do tie rods and all that fun Jaz yet.

I put red or blue top steering boxes in all my trucks. Upper and lower control arms powder coated to match the ladder bars, why not ?

Hey the air bag light is most likely one of the sensors in the front of the truck behind the bumper probably Corded

My truck has the airbag light on, too. I got it to turn off once by changing a blown fuse. Lasted a few weeks. Not sure why it came back on

the airbag light isnt a problem with your actual airbag most likely its your crash sensor on the front

Amsoil easy packs. I'm telling you guys, you'll never use anything else to fill a diff once you try those. So much easier than the hand pumps, It takes longer to cut the cap open and pop the seal than it does to squeeze a quart of fluid in!

Im watching this video with my beats studios and It caught the whistle of the LBZ on point

Get a snap on scan tool and check the bcm codes willing to bet the service air bag light is coming on from either one or both of the front impact sensors being bad.

The upper and lower ball joints didn’t need love? My uppers were original (133k on my 06)were shot, and I replaced everything. I used a blue top box though. I couldn’t find a PSC with a search warrant when I did mine. I love the color of the the truck Jake

I love y’all and the channel but it kills me when y’all don’t actually use the lift and still work on the ground like it’s on jack stands and Jake brother your truck doesn’t have a “rack” just the steering box and you’ll need to use a scanner the will connect to the air bag stuff to see which sensor needs to be replaced or if it’s just got corrosion at the plug
