@@Ragvarok Nah, pitbulls have bad rep for a reason. There's a reason why I always avoid Pitbulls when out with my Shepherd, i'd rather go through a river than deal with one on the path. Bitten on three different ocassions just by pitbulls, not to mention how many close-calls or loud annoying growling/barking/almost yoinking the owner with them there was. I'mma point out that there's next to none in my area too, if they really were such 'sweethearts', then why didn't any Shepherd bite me? (which are numerous here.)

@@iamerror1699 Probably a due to the stereotypes perpetuating people to get them and then not giving them the proper care they deserve. There's even articles and stuff about the discrimination they face in housing, insurance and travel. Shepards don't face a stigma (not since WWII oof) because they were historically trained to herd sheep. Pitbulls were historically bred for bull baiting and dog fighting. They've been raised and trained as fighter dogs since the 19th century which is why the stigma surrounding them is so prevalent since they were often trained to be aggressive. When correctly trained, suprise, suprise, they're very patient and levelheaded and were even entrusted in WW I for transporting messages and pulling stretchers). Many were, and still are (illegally) trained and raised as fighting dogs, and given the harsh environment and treatment (ie. being left chained outside for days on end, crappy food, lack of attention in a high stress environment) and stigma its not really surprising to see pitbull attacks as a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. Not the dog's fault, no such thing as a bad dog, a bad and ignorant owner that doesn't understand the dog's needs on the other hand..those are the people who you should really be pissed about. To be a bit more general I'm willing to bet they were taken in by people who don't have the time to properly keep them active despite them being high energy dogs, and since they're crossed with terriers (known little yappy aggressive dogs) they're prone to getting stressed and lashing out.

Also another thing: if Scratch dies and you try to throw the ball, everyone is sad about it and talks about how good he was but Astarion in particular is on the verge on tears.

Neil (Astarion's VA) said that he was actually inspired by a stray cat that visited his house occasionally. He was feral at first, and it took 3 years before the stray allowed Neil to pet him; Now they are friends. Quote: [Astarion] is a cat. He's a black cat. There's a stray that comes into my house called Red... and he's quite feral. It took me three years before I could pick him up and hold him. He's totally cool with me now. Three fucking years. He gave me a lot of inspiration about Astarion. I believe he said it in one of the streams, apparently. I personally saw it on Tumblr.

Wyll and Karlach seem to be the most open to Scratch,they are clearly dog people.Gale plays along but perfers cats. Shadowheart has some hangups because of her fear of wolves, but I think she wants to be friends. Lae'zel, Astarion and Minthara have their usual angst and high expectations but it just comes off as funny. I imagine Jaheria and Halsin have similiar viewpoints and well, I guess Minsc likes hamsters.
