ronforeman: 1/1/22, I am 50+ and, I only discovered this PHENOMENAL song, when I watched an episode of "One Life To Live" online. Ever since then, I play it VERY OFTEN. . .online.
You and I both, Cocoa Femme!. "All In Love Is Fair" really tugs at my heart strings. My wife and I met in high school and have been married now for 43 years, so that's all good. But before we met I'd burned a candle for someone else, and the letdown from that unrequited love is something I've never quite gotten over. Stevie's song goes right to the center of that space in my heart where all those unresolved feelings dwell
Stonedog23 well mine will always be Living for the City, with the close following of Always, My Cherie Amour, I Don’t Know Why I Love You, and Hey Love.
I love Stevie, but for me all in love is fair is the most perfect song ever composed, arranged, played and sung. Just perfect, nothing to be added or cut.
Yes if he would be happier in Ghana 🇬🇭 I wish this person happiness and that he draws closer to the lord throughout the coming years ❤️ 🙏🏿 peace ✌🏿 "Stevie Wonder "
I was 13 when this came out on Innervisions album. My brother had this album. I had a puppy love boyfriend named Tony. He started to like another girl and stopped talking to me. I thought I was going to die from a broken heart. I played this song over and over for weeks. I’m a grandmother now, I can remember how heartbroken I felt all those years ago. It’s amazing how music can make you remember certain moments in life.
Music saved my life twice I started D.J.ing in 19 76 hip hop kept me off the streets and doing dumb stuff I'm recovering from a stroke in 2008 and music is keeping me from loosing my S%$#!
A superb vocalist. A phenomenal songwriter. A virtuoso musician. Thank you, STEVIE WONDER, for sharing your tremendous gifts with the millions of us who love your music.
Dedicate this to my ❤️ beautiful daughter,Vanessa, who I lost to cancer last August..she lived he and Bob Marleys music....Luv and miss u,beautiful.one❤❤❤...
This song has been around for over 40 years, and it's so simply beautiful, it will be around for many lifetimes. Thank you for your beauty and grace, Stevie Wonder.
He’s my absolute favorite artist, and I love him like the air. I breathe. He is not the greatest LIVE performer (he be playing around too much. )however, the The Man IS blimd. but when you listen to the song on the record, it gives you a ticket to ride Express train down memory lane and reduces you to tears and buckets of a goo as you revisit bad decisions mistakes of the past, and the fact that you made it through. What a ride! what a ride
If this doesn't have tears streaming down your face, there's something wrong with you. One of the most pure, effortless, and beautiful singers ever. Thank you, Stevie.
I was in middle school when this song was released but didn’t pay attention to the beautiful lyrics. Now I’m 61, a widow for the last two years and now how poignant the meaning is in my life. I’m going to take my pen and write the words again. It’s time to live, love and be happy.
Stevie was a master of breathing technique and emotion. anyone who sings should study him. flawless. the most beautiful ballads. also, Heaven is, and They won't go.
Never realized just how handsome young Stevie was... He is not at all blind. Those who see with the Naked Eyes are. This is what the Spirit of TMH sounds like. Love you Stevie!
tahirhunter, haha. Stevie is indeed great, but he was made by opportunity, not by chance. I'm betting that talent like this is out there. The absence of music departments in schools, the lack of affordability or access to private lessons, and troubled homes that won't let people blossom can slow it down, but it is out there.
Beyond genius this man is an outer body experience . It's too deep to explain . How you write a song that cuts so deep it shakes you to the core of your being .
I agree. It really is just too deep to even try to talk about. I just feel as though know something new about what it is to be human everytime I hear it. It makes feel like I've become a deeper person--on a soul level. It is painful and beautiful all at once.
I agree that Stevie’s songs especially in the 70’s were so politically, soulfully, romantically, based on love of life and your fellow man, to go with powerful lyrics, high energy, soul stirring tear jerking melodies that today’s world could not handle. The message of live, romance, care for your fellow man, the earth, love of God, the pain of heartbreak, the unbelievable joy of finding your soulmate, and the unbelievable pain of not living with your soul mate, or the incredible pain of injustice, and the incredible joy of triumph, family, friends, life, and love are what made Stevie a gift to the world.
Evette Thomas Stevie has been ill lately. He needs a kidney. I would gladly give him one of mine if I could. With the joy he's brought to my life, it's the least I could do. Love you Steveland. #Godspeed
@@gnsmith4005 Im sad to hear that. I didn't know he was ill. I will keep him in my prayers for sure. He has definitely been a beautiful bright light to the world. I hope you are doing well yourself. Keep smiling for Stevie.
Evette Thomas thank you so much for your concern. Although I have suffered from a health crisis, I'm doing alright now. Can't complain. God opened my eyes this morning with all my faculties intact. He still allows me to hear and listen to Stevie and encouraging words from people like you. ❣️
Look at how effortlessly this dude hits those notes.. then go watch someone do a cover of this song and see how the veins in the side of their necks are popping out and their voice cracks or they just avoid the notes all together... this dude is amazing..
All is fair in love Love's a crazy game Two people vow to stay In love as one they say But all is changed with time The future no one can see The road you leave behind Ahead lies mystery But all is fair in love I had to go away A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair All of fate's a chance It's either good or bad I tossed my coin to say In love with me you'd stay But all in war is so cold You either win or lose When all is put away The loosing side I'll play But all is fair in love I should never have left your side A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair
All real MJ fans need to get all of Stevie's Albums so they can really know who is the greatest of all time and wher he got some of his adult singing style from.
I’m listening & watching Stevie on Valentines Day 2023 & all I see is me in 8th grade crying 😢cuz my heart was broken..fast forward to 30 years of marriage & 5 kids & 2 grandkids later I have tears of joy ❤️❤️😘😘 LOVE this song
Stevie,, you ARE one of the true wonders of this world. You have given so much to us. May you live a long life and continue to create your beautiful and meaningful music...
One of Stevie's most beautiful melodies - which is saying a lot. In 1963 he stood on Ed Sullivan's stage and played Fingertips. It was the 1st time we heard the catch phrase '13 year old Genius'. All these years later, Stevie is still making and producing music. Proving that his genius will last his lifetime, and we have been the ones fortunate enough to benefit from it. Love you, Stevie.
I've heard many GREAT ARTISTS render THEIR excellent performance, of their version, of this hidden masterpiece of Stevie Wonder's. BUT absolutely NONE COME CLOSE to HIS.🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
It pains me to know that videos like PSY can get a billion views, and Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber can get millions of views, but this video can't seem to reach a million views yet. What's wrong with this generation today?
the generation of today does not know that this song exists. if youtube had started 30 years back, then this video would have already gazillion of views. but dont you worry, the views may get close to a milliion as i watch this almost everyday in the office...like countless of times! :)
MAN! You and I, and All in Love is Fair, are the two greatest love ballads ever written, sung, AND played, by one man, in history! I'm 70 years old now, I was 18 in 1972, when he released both songs, I was a musician (lead guitar in a band) and was completely blown AWAY- to this day. These two songs, particularly the original releases done in his prime, are excuisite, unrivalled, hauntingly Beautiful like nothing else, and now bring a tear to my eye- in this shallow world now, with fascist politics and hate, music like this no longer exits- only echoes of the past beauty of the soul. Thank you, Stevie, you were beyond wonder
What a beautiful song it makes you want to listen to it over again.SOME people may feel their true emotions rise to the surface when listening to this song.Stevie Wonder is a great talented legend always sang from the heart where you could feel his sorrow, pain and joy.
This man's songs are the soundtrack to my life, I first heard him when I was 14 and was instantly mesmerised. I love this pure soul for the messages he gives us and the love for all in his songs
no one can sing this better. no one. idc how beautiful the voice. it's Stevie's song and he just does something with it no one could hope to. his voice is not only beautiful but characteristic. soulful. Smokey. poignant. powerful. I could talk about him for days on end.
I read that Stevie wrote this at age 15...Smokey who is the world's best songwriter...noted two shocks in his career....one that Stevie could write such incredible lyrics and melody at such a young age...he didn't even yet have a GF....and the other was re Michael Jackson...he said that child was such an old soul of some dead blues artist...that no nine year old could interpret Whose Loving You...as brilliantly as MJ....
Beautiful song!!! Stevie Wonder is a Legend!! Shonda used that song for a very emotionnal moment, cyrus and michael marriage and Liv putting her ring back
I don't know how many people were saved by this song. Just the expression. All is fair in love❤ makes you stop and save yourself. Yep, that's the truth!!
