@@pulsus9470 yeah, depends on the store you buy it from as well, don’t just get it from wish or something and just get a cardboard box. There’s no audible difference (the extra fans maker louder, but the cooling doesn’t make it quieter if you know what I mean) but you feel there is less heat on the console.

I think there are 2 types. This one has a LED screen display that shows you if the controller is charging. The other is the NO LED screen type which is probably what you have. That one is cheaper cause it has no indicator when charging.

have u cleaned the fan..i recommend getting the latest ps4 version which ive got which is quiet, the stand helps to cool off the console.

@@ZRKREVIEWS I haven't cleaned the fan because of the ps4 safety screws and I can't seem to find a screwdriver that works so I could clean the ps4 on the inside but ill try out the latest one and ill get one of the screwdrivers meant for playstation fours and try to clean the fan as well

@@sxratch546 get a torx screwdriver set, and the torx heads inside the actual system strip very easily so be careful unscrewing them. Otherwise it's plain sailing.

@@tomasprochaska7453 unfortunately, mine was just a plastic thing for show only when I came to Bestbuy for asking. They didn’t see anything inside when they opened it. For your case, it might be the same as mine. Otherwise, you should go to some stores such as Bestbuy to ask them for checking yours.

The fans are there to reduce overheating to give you longer gameplay, noise may stay, go for the latest version model CUH-7216b it's much quieter

@@2M2M2M2M Just bought it and haven't tried Overwatch yet But the New Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 still sounds like a Jet Engine Taking off. But it helps with the Cool down when I close application or done playing the game. Normally after playing a game like that, my ps4 sounds like it stays in racing mode. Haven't tried Overwatch yet but it should have a better affect there, because normally Overwatch doesn't make my ps4 get as loud as Call of Duty. But even if this fails, I'm not going to refund it, since I do like the charging dock too. Also, I've already changed my thermal paste, and replacing the ps4 fan does absolutely nothing soo. As well as cleaning it.

Get it cleaned professionally (heat sink and everything) then put it higher, the heat sink can trap dust trapping heat in and the lower it is the higher chance of dust getting in

cooling fans help with cooling down the ps4 to give you that extra gaming time so the inside does not heat up, best to upgrade to the latest model which has much less noise. check out my other ps4 video.

ZRK REVIEWS im not sure about models. I’ve got a limited edition one (God of War). Do you know if that is a recent model? Im sorry, i dont really know where to look. But i will check that other video out.

@@cubancucumber I think that one is cuh-7000 or 7100, the ps4 pro is supposed to be quiet but if you have it close to the floor then dust will find it easier to get in. The heat sink is efficient due to lots of surface area but the gaps between the metal are too small to let big bits of dust through so it can cause a build up, try getting it cleaned out (tutorials on RU-vid can help but it's best to get it done professionally) then put it on a higher surface to keep big bits of dust getting into it. I've experienced this first hand, my brother and I have the exact same model PS4 pro, bought the same day from the exact same retailer but his is much much quieter than mine, almost silent while he plays games, the difference is I had mine close to the floor whereas his is at least more than 1 metre about the floor

Chris Morrison i replaced the thermal pads and paste and it’s unbelievably quiet. I ran ghost of tsuhsima and it hardly made a sound.

Chris Morrison i also gave it a deep clean, the previous owner of the console had never done so. There was an unreal amount if dust on the heat sink that i pulled it all off in one go.

My ps4 pro used to sound like an aircraft taking off so yesterday I decided to completely open up the console and clean all the dust there is. After I decided to test the console with red dead redemption 2 and it doesn't make a single sound anymore

Agree, I bought the simillar one and it doesn't actually cooling my ps4, the blowing air from the cooler fan blocks the side air vent which causing the heat inside to not blown out properly so that overheating occurs
