• When Doug put that wine glass on the cup holder I literally yelled, "DAMN!" • I gasped when the card shelf could swivel. That was totally unexpected. Genius! And how smooth too. • That DM setup with the Game Deck. My eyes was just glistening with excitement. It's like a throne but customizable. I don't think kings of old had that much nick-knacks. Damn, guys! These are some awesome products. You guys have just set the bar up for the entire gaming table industry (if there ever was one; if not, there is now). Awesome product along with cool add-ons; you're speaking a gamer's language. Easy to understand, very intuitive, and user friendly. Affordable prices that you can slowly crawl your way up to. Top notch quality and craftsmanship. This product line is an adventure all on its own. You make me wanna aim to complete all of the accessories. One helluva marketing strategy! A round of applause for everyone, all the way from Doug to Ms. Taffy. 👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉 Keep up the good work! I'm so excited for you guys.

I've heard the reference to table size being upgradable, but I haven't seen this actually shown in a video yet. Did I miss it in one of the previous ones? I'm also assuming that you just purchase larger table leaves and that the vaulted area is not able to change ... right? Table would have to be able to pull apart for the vaulted are to change I would think.
Dang! That's really cool. I'm surprised they haven't shown that off in a video yet ... on RU-vid that is ... cause' I watched the one you shared the link to. Thanks for catching me up!
Andrew Poterek on stream the other day we watched an unlisted video showing the assembly of the table if you want there are a lot of cool giveaways too you should come hang out if you don’t already! twitch.tv/wyrmwoodgaming
Idea: How about a small insert that lets you use your tabletop tiles in the rail? Right now, while your tiles probably snap into the rail fine, they would be partly covered by the groove. All you would need is a small piece of wood with magnets on each end, and suddenly your tabletop tiles can become table accessories. Just an idea :) If you don't offer this, I'm probably going to make a (crappy) version myself, but would rather have it from you. I'm sure there are other ways of incorporating tiles, so I'd love anything that makes this stuff work together without putting it on the actual lowered gaming surface.
God everything looks so good! But of course my husband says we already HAVE a dining room table...let’s see how that opinion might change. Gotta do some convincing.
accidents happen to dining room tables every day, may be it slips and falls getting into the bath one evening, maybe it gets knocked down and run over one morning....
They're looking into options to suggest for right now, but looking into chairs in the future. Unless something changes, but they've said it a few times on different platforms.
@@PhilipOno craftsman guarantee doesn't mean anything, stop pretending that it does. also the longevity of a table is inconsequential to the price, a table is still just a table, regardless of it's material or the level of craftsmanship. I've never understood the concept of furniture being expensive...when it doesn't do anything, i believe in merit based pricing, not production based pricing, because regardless of how much work and effort go into something, i just don't care, all that matters is the objects functionality. and to me furniture just doesn't do enough to warrant the price of it (Not specifically Wyrmwood but all furniture manufacturers in general) if it can't do more for me then a computer can, then it has no business being more then one. there should NEVER be an instance where a mundane object should be this expensive.
This is a misconception people have about woodworking: while bigger items use more wood, they rarely require a greater linear amount of work. Actually, some of the smaller part could require more hand work since they are too small to be processed with the wide belt sander.
Hey just adding a comment here to clarify that my remark is in appreciation of what they’ve done here. It is wonderful business. I see future versions of these accessories like the seasonal variants of the deck boxes or dice towers. Custom options....the works. This is going to have a long tail. I find nothing wrong with the pricing of any of this.
I might gonna sound like I'm sponsored by Wyrmwood... but this thing is just so consumer friendly is ridiculous! where with other products out there, you'll have to save a lot of your money to buy the ideal table right off the bat, with this table you can buy the cheapest one, and them buy the upgrade kits, to make the table bigger and upgrade your ideal table bit by bit, all the while you're buying the accessories you need, whenever you wish.

From a War Gaming perspective that Game Deck is a huge bonus. It allows you to build up a tiered landscape. Take Blood & Plunder , the basic vault area can be an ocean mat. The game deck can be a port city. While having a few transitioning terrain pieces to go from Ocean to land to port town. F'ing love it!
I was most interested in learning about that tv add on but it felt like the shortest overview... what kind of tv is it? is it replaceable or built into the frame? power options?
This might be my favourite WyrmLyfe ever. I know there isn’t the high jinx of other episodes, but it’s got style. And it’s pure information about a product I’d love to own, even if I can’t afford it
The straight truth is their is no guarantee either way. I expect that they will become more expensive. Mostly because the Kickstarter seems like a way to drum up brand recognition... The Kickstarter seems to sell better version of the products. Doug has also said that they want to make the Kickstarter pricing very aggressive.
Usually it seems like the only benefit of backing their kickstarters is time. For example these things might not be available for purchase for a year and a half or more. They could also just not keep them in stock like with past kickstarters but because this is a business venture it will probably be a major part of wyrmwood in the future
Love what I'm seeing. I already decided on the table that works for my situation, coffee table for now (thank you guys for realizing space concerns) now I know what accessories to order right away. Maybe I'll be able to get the kit to convert some day when I have the room.
It was shown in the last couple of wyrmlife episodes. Such as when they're looking at the kickstarter page last episode. Basically most of the tables are the same width, so you can upgrade the length by disassembling it a little, and inserting the longer section in to now have a larger table.
Is there something that stops the toppers sliding further off the sides/keeps them aligned with the top of the table? Like I get that they’re heavy, but I can imagine still being able to nudge them if you bump into them accidentally or like placing them awkwardly to begin with.
If you look at 7:10 on the standing topper you can see small wood pieces under the topper (for the ends of the table) made for staying on the inside of the table so the topper can't slide of the table.
bunker1213 ooh yes, also at 7:19. Had to slow dow. the playback speed to 0.25 as that segment was so quick, hence probably missing it first time round, but I do see it now, thanks 🙂
Has Wyrmwood considered for the charge pack putting the charge through the magnetic rail which removes the need for a battery altogether and all you need is to plug in to the unit? Similar to how the topk charging cable works. Doesn't matter if it is upside down or not, you polarize the lanes by having a middle negative charge and a positive out layer charge on it. That way you can still slide the unit without disconnecting the unit.
I was on the fence after the delayed launch but DAMN, you've convinced me. This is some solid salesmanship. Although maybe it was just the dab in the beginning
Solid run down and good stuff. Question @Wyrmwood, will the accessories be available post-KS so we can pick them up after recovering from the initial table purchase(s)?
This is a really important question. Is anything going to vanish, either in general or due to lack of interest? This could really screw some people over who are stretching for the table and have their hearts set on certain accessories.
Just found this channel. Not a table top gamer but as en engineer, I am incredibly impressed with how well thought out this system is. It is clear the understanding of how it would be used is there as is the passion. One thing, TV's create heat. I couldnt see but hopefully there are some vents in the TV piece to let the heat get out. Should be easy enough to hide under the lip of the frame.
Highly doubt it. It takes a pretty powerful magnet to strip a credit card unless the card is in near-direct physical contact with the magnet for long periods of time. Just don't set your wallet directly next to the table wall and you will be fine.
Standard credit cards you probably need to swipe the magnet directly across the strip to scramble the credit card. For things that are re-programable like hotel room keys 5-6 inches away is probably enough to affect them. The magnets are only in the accessories and the toppers, so I'd really only be concerned about leaving credit cards on the table topper or if you have a hotel room key or security swipe card for work, leaving your wallet on the table topper. www.kjmagnetics.com/blog.asp?p=magnetic-stripes#:~:text=Can%20a%20neodymium%20magnet%20erase,to%20be%20erased%20or%20scrambled.
Just a suggestion, I have young kids and limited space, the topper block is amazing but having a "cover" either fabric or even wood box "top" (like a pen cap) would be amazing and very kid-friendly. I would 100% pay extra for that.
How do the table toppers attach to the table? Are there magnets / lips that keep the topper(s) from shifting? Or do the toppers just rest on top the table with only friction holding it in place?
Can you remove and replace the battery pack from the charger? Perhaps from under the leather or something? Batteries degrade over time, so this is pretty important.
Lots of good stuff here. One question, with the card shelf being so pricey and Doug saying the big cost was the hardware, did you consider a no swivel version? I just don’t see that much value in the swivel feature.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE upgrade the Game Deck to the Game Deck Box so we can lift the lid and put all these damn accessories in there. My list is already growing and we need MORE STORAGE. Thanks from all the Wyrmlings.
Seriously though, it would be SO easy to modify to make it a storage container. Could even slide the lid into a slot rather than putting a hinge on it. Cost savings. You're welcome!
It took me a while - but I think I like Doug’s beard - in a style that befits the traditions and cultures of PA. Just a buggy and a straw hat - and he’s set.
I remember it being mentioned that if you miss out on the KS, it was gonna be hard to get one of these tables later on. Are the upgrade packs going to be more accessible?
I think what they actually said was it'll be at least a year or two until they'd be readily available after the kickstarter. Sorry if the initial comment was misleading. It was in a previous wyrmlife.
More importantly, does the topper block have a cover to protect the edges of the toppers that are resting in it? For when something inevitably falls on them.
Wow! These accessories are amazing! Also, amazing sales pitch Doug! Thank you all for this video. It makes me feel more confident in my Kickstarter purchases.
ACCESSORY IDEA! Modular DM screen for the game deck. A piece of wood that slots on the front and sticks up as a screen. Also with it's own cutout facing towards the DM for holders. Aswell as another cutout on the outside for extra holders on the table side.
Can the big gulp fit a 32oz Nalgene bottle or Hydr OP Flask? Me and my outdoorsy friends all play a ton of boardgames and D&D and we all use Nalgene bottles and Hydro Flasks.
how do the toppers stay on the table? like if i lean over the top with my fluffy, squishy legs to reach something on the other end, what keeps it from getting punished across the top rail of the table?
@Wyrmwood Even if you don't game, this is a phenomenal piece of furniture in it's own right. For the kick starter you may want to put in tags for the cosplayer community as well because I see this and it screams "amazing crafts table with built in and modular storage." Having this beautiful long surface for drafting or popping half the cover off to sew on one side and have a clean place out of the way for your fabric to feed to on the other. Have your supplies nice and organized on the inside with accessories to put your pin holders, zippers/closures, and phone in easy access with one of the accessories when needed? Checks all the boxes I would want.
im building a table right now that also has a screen in it. 32 inches, insane bright, and im going to put a piece of acrylic over it that has 1" hash marks in it for player movement so that i can put a map up on the screen and players can just plop their mini right down on the screen without hurting anything
I was excited for this, but the accessories are really expensive compared to the table. Even just a cup holder for each player at a 4 person table is going to be like, what, 25% of the table's cost?
@Christian Kent because like all furniture manufacturers they're way overcharging you for something you can simply do yourself. Nothing for this table, or even the table in general, should be even a fraction of the price they've listed.
Would be eager to see a 1ft wide x2ft long x2ft tall-ish end table to sit next to a video gaming chair to hold controllers and the like in the well that's still compatible with the accessories. As much as the Lilliput is appealing, I'd like to see something smaller for those who don't do table top gaming extensively yet want to own something that would suit their needs.
