I got this booth last year and it's great. One thing I did to protect the led's from any extra spray especially with rattle cans is to wrap a bit of kitchen cling film round the lights, which is easy to do as they unclip so easily. Plus it's super quick to change if you get paint on them.

I have exactly the same spray booth for now 6 months, I totally like it... I don't have many space so I have to fold it each time in it's box and no problem, nothing broke and lights still perfectly working..

I got one of these about a month ago - fell for the size of it as my earlier spray booth was always too small. I love this one - its big, bright and quite powerful. It may sound noisy on camera but in use its not bad at all...

Love the spray booth. That will be my next big purchase after we get moved.👍 I bought 2 6 packs of the acrylic wall shelves. I have 10 of the acrylic makeup storage for all my tools. Thanks for posting all these videos! I needed a spray booth and saw this so I decided to pick one up, so far so good. I also asked a while back about compressors, you recommended the Tooty, and I thank you for that as well, it's a fantastic compressor I absolutely love how it performs. I even picked up a rolling cart and mounted it and the spray booth to it so I can move all my airbrush stuff around easily.

love that the fan exhaust is at the top on this model. I bought the single fan from the same brand due to space issues, and it sticks out so much because the main exhaust parts go straight out the back. the plastic side shields are NOT full proof though, and I find that I need a paper towel/sheet on the corners or underneath just to make sure no spray gets through the cracks and onto the table.

I use Liquitex inks in my airbrush all the time. Primarily white, to add zenithal highlights. But what I really like them for is for making true metallic colors, but mixing a few parts ink to Vallejo Metal Color. They're great multitaskers!

I have nearly the same booth as you, but I can only choose to have one or both fans on. No fan speed adjustment but the booth works a charm and I am very happy. Since yours is nearly the same design I think you will enjoy it for a long time.

Hi mate. I'm totally envious of your stash and the organization of all your paints etc. You must have a very understanding partner. I have the same booth that you have just got and it is fantastic with the dual fans and LED lighting. It extracts really ell and I never have to have the fan speed at full tilt. My only issue is getting hold of the replacement filter material which for some reason is really hard to find here in Australia. Cheers mate and thanks for another great vid.

This is my booth, works well only issue I have had is the lights can lose connection at connections just a few lite taps and lit again. Filters I found midwest had on clearence for $2 a peice for hobby booth filters which are 3 times bigger so (cut 3 filters for $2)

Good video, make sure you aluminum tape those exhaust ducts before you hose clamp them so there’s no fumes going back into the room. This is the same booth I was looking at buying before I decided to just build my own for the same price. I couldn’t find reliable reviews just modified versions people were making of the cheaper versions.

I bought that same booth off Amazon. Unfortunately with mine the dual fans sped up and slowed down constantly and rapidly on their own. Went back and forth with the manufacturer but their answers were confusing and vague so I just sent it back to Amazon. I then bought the Mr. Hobby Super Booth Compact which I am really happy with. It has the squirrel cage type fan which is very quiet but also safe for using laquers since the fumes do not go through the fan motor, which is not true for the computer fans that come with the review unit. However I did like the unit that you have other than for the fan issues as it has a good work space and decent lighting. As a side note, take the vent off so you can see the dual fans and see if you can figure out how you would replace them if you had to. I saw no way of doing it, they must manufacture it in an odd way that results in preventing access.

Nice video on this. I test my fan's draw by burning an incent cone, that way I can see the smoke being drawn in. For my inside base, I bought a roll of paper that painters use to tape to the floor (comes in different colors and widths, from Loews). Do you find that you need the extra, external fan, for this? You mentioned a new compressor, what was the brand and do you have a link?

Mine is similar to what is in the video except if I can buy the same spray booth I have now to, add in conjunction, to double the width of the spray booth. Great for my 1:20.3 scale (F scale) outdoor trains. Lighting is all LED that surrounds the model.

That’s a good review and tempting buy. But the problem with those kind of extractor is that there not made for lacquers. They only extract the air with a filter not design for harmful particulates. Do you know if this one is made for it ?

Thanks for the review, very informative. Just as a tip: next time you want/are going to show how good the suciton of the booth is, try holding the paintbrush in the lower right corner of the frame (instead of in the middle of the frame; we know what an airbrush looks like ^^) and then spray diagonally, so that we can actually see the path of the spray. Here it just looked like it went in a straight line everytime, I didn't see anything...

Many thanks for all these videos, sir. As someone returning to modelling after a loooong absence, the amount of information available is overwhelming. I find your videos cut through the fluff and provide solid tips and advice. With regards to this booth, will the double fans be able to accommodate rattle cans? Thanks to you, I have discovered Mr. Surfacer Aqueous primer and Montana water based, low pressure cans. All acrylic all the time. Combine those with a spray tent on the patio and primer and base coats are well managed. Alas, winter is coming one day and that means moving to the basement or the garage. Do you think this booth could manage the overspray -- I am aware that most booths have disclaimers about rattle cans. I am hoping the dual fans might make a difference.

I think the general problem with hoods having a disclaimer for rattle cans isn’t because they can’t handle the overspray, but because the fans aren’t rated as explosion proof, which could result in a chance (a very small chance, but a chance nonetheless) that when the fan is running, a random spark could ignite the fumes from a rattle can. I could be wrong, but that’s what I’ve learned while researching to build my own airbrush booth.

Good luck with those LED lights. I rarely used my booth and they melted after a couple dozen uses. I would avoid them with spaying flammables.

Cheapest I could find it in Australia was close to AU$300. I ended up buying directly from China using TaoBao (which is the local Chinese version of Aliexpress) Cost me under AU$150.
