Select B(Braking) if you are descending a steep incline as it engages engine Braking equivalent to low gears in a manual gearbox. EV is selected if the battery is sufficiently charged and allows you to drive in electric only.

Not in the UK. I know they are available in Ireland and Germany, and possibly other countries.

@@Sellerieknolle76 that sucks! If they had that option I would of definitely buy it. They have so many engine and transmission choices in Japan.

@@loranger6447 I think the hybrid is the best option. Here in Germany, more than half of the Yaris sold are hybrids. I get mine (with all available options except the sun roof) in 5 weeks.

@@Sellerieknolle76 I prefer non hybrid as I think it’s more reliable in the long term and less things to go wrong. Also will there be more wear on the engine as the engine turns on and off so the oil will rise then fall so the camshaft won’t have proper lubrication, where as a non hybrid the engine idles so oil still reaches the top of the engine.

@@loranger6447 I get a lease for 4 years with a 5-years-warranty, so I don't really care about the long term. And I'm sure that after almost 25 years of experience with hybrids, Toyota knows their stuff. Here you see more and more Toyota hybrids as taxis. The taxi companies wouldn't buy them if they weren't efficient and reliable.

Hi. In the UK, Excel, Dynamic and Launch Edition get Smart Entry and Push Button Start. Icon and Design have a physical key, which you insert into the key hole and turn. Thanks.

@@toyotauk Yes I wondered what that key hole was for :)

@@tectorama keyless entry system is vulnerable to hacker attacks . physical key is safer.

@@vx1201 I realise that. With my Lexus, and a lot of other cars you can press the buttons on the fob in such a way that you cannot unlock the car without the key fob.

My point was, that in most Yaris reviews and commercials, they feature the top of the range car. The one that a lot of people don't buy.
