The whole sinnoh battle was spectacular. Ash and his rival Paul always in a duel to see who’s better , and Ash always losing. In their previous fight before the sinnoh league when they had their match was the height of us thinking there was no way ash can beat Paul. When the sinnoh league battle of ash vs Paul happened, ash used the same team to take down Paul when he previously lost. Amazing story of how he is willing to show his Pokémon are not weak and will become stronger than ever. Infernapes story to prove Paul wrong is a amazing one. I fully support Infernape being ash’s no.1 Pokémon

That's really harsh on swellow. I thought swellow was great. Don't think any other of Ash's flying type Pokemon had that fiery will and guts that swellow had. Even with a limited move set, it won a lot.

Pokemon Rule: you cannot consider a Pokemon to be number one unless it has defeated a legendary or Psuedo Legendary Pokemon.... Pikachu has defeated plenty and often is clutch in the league. In my opinion: 6. Sceptile 5. Snorlax 4. Greninja 3. Infernape 2. Charizard 1. Pikachu Its irresponsible to have the top 6 not be strong battlers because the battlers (with the exception of Snorlax) have an intricate and deep storyline in the anime. I almost put Infernape at number 2 but then I remember that it didnt won against a legendary. Charizard did (Articuno), and would've defeated Dragonite too if N didnt stop the battle. Infernape defeated 3 of Paul's Pokemon himself in the league. Greninja dominated the whole series but in all honesty it lost to Alan's Charizard every time, including when Ash's Pikachu had already weakened Charizard with a super effective Thunderbolt and some quick attacks. Plus no legendary wins. It fought on equal grounds with Megas because it was mega-esk. Sceptile beat Darkrai. So its number 6. Snorlax always defeats his first opponent and sometimes more before getting knocked out. Pikachu??? ....lets make a list. I may forget some. Dragonite Metagross Tyranitar Tapu Koko Regice Latios Plus countless other strong pokemon in clutch situations regardless of type advantage/situational or not....Number 1

Ash's love and trust to his pokemon make them stronger. Everytime someone abandoned their Pokemon because of weak Ash makes them own and stronger Really Ash is a great character

Greninja didnt get released ash just let it go with squishy to get rid of the roots once its done it might be finding ash i also think ash gave professor oak Greninja's pokeball as he gave professor oak 5 pokeball if it was empty why would professor oak need it and ash would have keep it as he can use it to catch more pokemon and godra also is at the wet land protecting its land godra and Greninja will always be ash's pokemon.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Charizard took on the legendary birds, entei, poliwrath, dragonite, blastoise, magmar, nidoqueen and other strong opponents. That makes it Ash's best pokemon

Animated Ginger is very reasonable he just doesn’t focus on ashes most popular Pokémon or most known-such as greninja, he shows a different perspective on ashes other bonds with his previous teams. 😁

I’m watching DP right now, and definitely loving Chimchar (so cute!)~ My heart really broke when Paul abandoned it but I’m happy Ash took it under his wing. I can’t wait to see it evolve to become Monferno then Infernape as the series progresses ☺️

Imagine if Ash actually grows more brain cells and battles with 6 of Charizard, Infernape, Greninja, Sceptile, Krookodile, Goodra, Staraptor, and ofc Pikachu Man could defeat anything

Agree with this. A lot of people think that Greninja is stronger (mainly because Water beats Fire) but let me clear something. Infernape is also a Fighting type which is strong against Greninja's Dark typing. And G's only water move is Water Shuriken. Greninja is also a glass cannon. The Bond phenomena gives it a power and speed boost but his defense takes a toll as well as the strain on the trainer the longer the battle proceeds. Infernape on the other hand is decently tanky as shown when he took down 3 of Paul's strongest Pokemon while enduring quite a bit of damage, including that from Toxic Spikes and Flare Blitz recoil. Also, Blaze powered Flare Blitz will boil away anyone.

So I got a bulbasaur and we named him bob until he evolved into ivysaur then we named it..... SALADZ I love 💗 him so much

Ashe’s god team: Charizard Infernape Greninja Pikachu Goodra Sceptile Literally can’t lose with this team

Swellow should have been much higher up this list. It was the first of Ash's bird Pokemon that wasn't just a boring balloon popper (including Noctowl!) and a main battler on his team. Also Ash's Swellow has the highest win rate of all his bird Pokemon, even beating out Staraptor and Talonflame, so show Ash's best bird a little more respect.
