@@trueaussie9230 No. If that was the case I would be trying to guilt people by saying stuff like I was in huge debt or poverty or something. And if this was my day job, I probably would be uploading far more regularly. Its an optional donation, this is a pretty common thing these days.
She's a terrific actress... and a great singer too... I've seen a video here of a Broadway show she was in where she sang and danced....absolutely splendid... such a talented lady...
I love this actress. Hadn't seen her in years then someone told me there were some new episodes of Frasier. How many years have gone by? If it wasn't for her voice I'd never have recognized her.
Very astute observation! That hadn't originally occurred to me - but after I saw your comment, I replayed it and was like "SIDESHOW BOB!!!!" And now I can't unhear it!
I think Bebe Neuwirth once stated that she loved the character of Lilith.. due to the fact that she could speak in a monotone, show next to no emotion.. be a total bitch and get paid oodles of money for about a days work... What was not to love!
Bebe played herself in an episode of "Will & Grace". When they kept referring to her as Lilith, she finally admitted "I loved that role. I wanna play that bitch for life!"
The casting of Bebe Neuwirth was a stroke of true genius. Also, the irony of Niles poking fun of getting married in Vegas when that's where he married Daphne.
Fantastic video montage representation of Lilith and her value to key storylines. I Will ALWAYS howl in laughter at Lilith’s comment about Frasier “doling out worthless little advice pellets from your psychiatric Pez dispenser”😂😂😂😂
“ Brian was looking for someone a bit more feminine…..and he found him!” That was shocking enough that Frasier couldn’t even think of mocking her. The entire sequence shows how strong this program was, line from Frasier about her dress and then Niles ‘ Ditto ‘ is just too perfect.
Why "shocking"? That's an asinine assumption you're making... the character of Frasier was never crass. Plus, David Hyde Pierce is gay but unlike current times, the 90s wasn't out of its mind and could balance itself between a joke and the limits of offense.
Daphne: - with one of her psychic headaches: "Oh! I've never had a throbbing like this! There's some kind of negative force out there!" After shaking hands with Lilith: "When I shook hands with that woman, I lost all feeling in me arm!"
but she could never see how godawful her manipulative shrew of a mother was or her awful brothers - I loved Frasier and still do but lookiing back Daphne was my least favorite character- she was given way too much lee way even before she hooked up with Niles. Lillith was way too good for Frasier- he couldnt control her and he for all his psychological insight didnt want an equal in marriage - he wanted to be the star in the marriage as well. Fortunately Lillith was strong but I think Frasier allowed his father and Daphne in particular to be really insulting and cruel to Lillith because he couldnt admit that it was his fault their marriage ended. and yet I think she was the only woman he really respected.
I absolutely think that David Pierce is a comedic genius. He was so underused in previous movies. There are three brilliant physical comics: Sean Hayes, Jim Parsons and David Pierce, but Pierce edges them out in every aspect of the creative processes.
Pierce was also very funny as the tightly-wound Theodore in the “The Powers That Be” in the ‘90’s. Lost in a lousy time slot, the network axed the series prematurely, and now it’s hard to find.
Never get tired of Frasier since 1994. I watch it all the times. The characters are brilliantly connecting to one another and the dialog was so funny. This TV show is still the best one for next 30 years.
My then husband once berated me as thinking that I am above other people. His reasoning was that I loved Frasier, I laughed at Niles, Lilith, Frasier and I "understand that stuck-up snotty humor that no one else gets" AND I was just like Lilith. I drive a pick up truck and have a horse! He liked The Simpsons. The snarky biting humor on Frasier reminds me of the witty movies of the 1930's. It is the sharpest show ever.
Absolutely right! I felt smarter just because I caught the jokes! And not all the jokes were highbrow. Roz, Martin and Daphne's characters weren't exposed to higher education but they were naturally smart and funny. Brilliant writing and wonderful characters, brought to life by talented actors, all of them!
@@yvettescheiman4991So true! Remember how Daphne figured out why Martin didn't want to show his cane in season 1? Brilliant, and the Frasier kinda got praised for helping 😛
I think people don't understand when they watch this how incredibly stunning baby is in person..... and how much her delivery of lines allows you to see past that. Of all of the acting that she does, the most incredible thing is that she is delivering lines that both have no emotion behind it, but have the greatest emotional impact. So when she shows the slightest emotional vulnerability, it hits you even harder. What an incredible actress!
@DipDuckDive I'm seeing conflicting things (one source says she has her BFA from there but I've also seen what you've seen...that she dropped out because she found it "stifling" and lacked Broadway style training classes).
One of the absolutely, unreservedly hottest women to ever appear in any medium ever. If the Trojan War had been fought over Lilith, it'd still be happening.
You should watch “Cheers” as well. The original show this one spun off from and introduced these two characters. You can watch them fall in love for the first time.
This gets a best of the internet award! I get an even better chuckle because we did some work for Kelsey. Frazier is not that far from Kelsey. The man's acting is a gift to humanity.
Seeing this, and its underlying meaning, I’m reminded of the 2 of in an ep of Cheers. Frasier was to be going away somewhere and someone enquired “oh, little pleasure trip” to which Frasier replied “No, lilith’s coming”. 😂😂
One of the cheers moments that stick in my mind is Lilith walking through the door of the bar and either Norm or Cliff saying: “uhoh, frost warning”.😂😂
I tell people I don't watch Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler movies and they ask why. Not my style of comedy. Frasier had me in stitches and Lillith was a hottie.
