This is a compilation of all secrets and easter eggs in The Doll House DLC for Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion, as well as a few that are exclusive to HD Renovation. The video contains captions and descriptions on how to achieve various secrets.

@@ShadiC636 I think it has to do with OG's liminal style that makes it feel scarier. There's just something about the gamemaker engine that works for a game like Spooky's. I know it was harder to make OG by a long shot, but in a sense it fits the art style of what this game was meant to be. HD does a good job improving performance and making the game feel a lot smoother, but it's just not for me. OG spoke to me from the very start, and I'll always love it the most.

The colicky room was horrifying for me, because once you read the page you heard about the child shooting someone, and so I assumed that the clicking was ever time the child tried to shoot me with an empty/toy gun.

I mean the burned doll really surprised me, especially because it's not a bug, because there's a texture of it in the game, meaning Kira made it intentionally.

Honestly even if the softlock was unintended it still is really cool, it isn't just a bug that you can quickly get out of, the doll is gone. Seeing as how burning yourself on the furnace makes you the gateway you might've just sent spooky to hell.

Maybe the doll being deleted from the game files after being burnt was meant for a bad ending somewhere in development process but the Dev realized that for you to be able to do that you would end up softlocking the game because you cannot go back from the same door you used to enter from. And you cannot get to make the doll function again even if you re-start a new game. you know, maybe something like "You have made your choice,cursing this mansion and the souls will be trapped in it forever, live with it now." I hope my text is understandable enough.

Props to clicky for being such an awesome entity, its premise is not to kill you, but to be uncovered by a whole tale, or document related to the existence of her room and the clicky sound heard when you walk around it, it was a very good way to make a lot of people afraid because they would slowly suspect the noise of the room until they looked up just enough to see a limb or the twitching head, afterwards they would pretend the entity doesnt exist and avoid looking at it, probably believing a direct stare would be insta kill, i would say it isnt exactly a jumpscare way to leave you scared, just the slow realisation of it being above you all along being just enough to make you give off THAT face Takes a whole turn around the classic "im here to kill you" type of creature, which in spooky house of jumpscares is used creatively, but every other chaser horror game is just some random evil humanoid creature that wants to kill you

pretty much everything from OG is scarier and better. There are a few exceptions, but it's just one of the many reasons why I prefer OG overall.

Both versions have pros and cons. Specimen 3 for example is miles better in HD (the OG one to this day feels unfinished by comparison). But a lot of Dollhouse's content in particular is better in OG

The "RIP IN PEACE" in Doug is meant to be a reference to the Game Over screen of the FAITH games, in which the same text-to-speech voice says "MORTIS," followed by a similar mournful chiptune tone.

@@Siioh Sorry, I worded that poorly. FAITH: The Unholy Trinity came out in 2022, yes. However, it is actually a compilation of three games, two of which (FAITH and FAITH II) were originally released _beforehand._ The original FAITH, which was renamed FAITH Chapter 1 when it was included in The Unholy Trinity, came out in 2017.

I only just realized that in the Specimen 9 death, the tram stops because the walls close in and get it stuck, a callout to Specimen 9’s ability in the main game where it traps the protagonist in a hallway to kill them.

I counted. In total, there were 4 and a half things I didn't know: the faces in the carpet, the coughing at the bed, the falling picture frame, and the fact that there's a second changing painting. The "half" one is the burnt doll. I knew it was possible, but I didn't know it required a setup and also rendered the doll completely unusable. Also, as a side note, if you look carefully, when using the escape tram early, you can see the tunnel walls closing in, much like the endless hallway in the main game.

I prefer the HD version bc of how much smoother it runs but the sprite work in the original is so much better. Especially in dollhouse, I love how unsettling they look and I wish they had just ported the models into the HD version. The 3d models look great but don't have that creepiness' factor that the original has (besides that one lanky doll that roams the house and the frenzies). Also holy shit that blender model for the electricity death is so well made and creepy.

funny enough the base game 3D models look great and a lot of that creepiness carried over to them pretty well. The same thing with karamari hospital. Only complaint I have is that they lack the uneasiness Kira's art style had with the originals, it's just the dollhouse models that don't do it for me.

Theres something Uncanny about the original game's sprites. I think a few of the models do help a little bit (Ben looks WAY more threatening in the 3d Version) but other than that, i think it loses a lot of charm.

I hate his 3D model, it's by far the worst model in the story mode for HD. His OG sprite is WAY scarier and better. However, I do think a few other story mode specimens look scarier in HD though, like Specimen 3 and 8.

No, Faith was released in 2022, and the DLC was released in 2020. It's using the SAM text to speech model, which is used in alot of games. Its also V1's (unooficial) Voice in ULTRAKILL

12:40 the use of the word “fathoms” here is quite interesting. A “fathom” is an imperial unit of measurement used to represent depth, so using it to show how deep the player is would make sense, except for the fact that fathoms are supposed to measure the depth of _water_ and not land. Perhaps Doug and the “in the know” achievement are connected in some way

Clicky gave my a bit of a startle when I first entered that room. I had no idea she showed up in the GI Labs. I think I remember finding the distorted painting but not the baby holding the knife one. Do you have any idea why Kira chose those specific specimens they did in the hellgate chase sequence?

I think those three specimens were Kira's favorites in general. I also think the reason Specimen 4 was replaced with Specimen 11 in HD was because the HD devs just wanted to "change things up". Plus, Endless Ringu in HD is an absolute nightmare.

The HD renovation could have been so much scarier if they did proper texture work. The originals were 2D images of rendered 3D models, why not bake the lighting as a texture so it looks closer to the original?

as it turns out, Spooky's father is the one who accidently shot and killed her. He framed a random hobo in order to avoid jail time so that way he could try bringing back his daughter using these doll spirits, but that obviously failed. In the secret arcade machine in the story mode of the base game, we learn that a PTSD war veteran shot and killed Spooky, but we didn't know who. But that's answered here with this one single note. Her father was the PTSD war veteran all along.

Theory... With the scare chair appearing in the nightmare sequence, that makes me wonder. What if the cow specimen that took over the doctors took over Spooky's father to kill her? It would also explain him possibly not remembering her being killed by him, which is why a veteran with PTSD is mentioned? As that's who he planted the gun on.

Think he excluded it from HG when he realized he couldn't think of a way for players to progress pass this since doing this wasn't supposed to happen. Maybe he planned a secret death for doing it? Or have Spooky provide a replacement but be disappointed in the player. Probably the latter but he changed his mind when he realized it would lower the value of the doll if you can easily replace it

If you mind I ask, what do you mean by the doll mechanic being broken if the doll is burnt, even when starting a new game? Do you mean the doll is deleted from the game files, like, completely? Thats creepy.
