This video contains all the appearances made by Sentinel Prime in the 2011 Transformers Dark of the moon movie. I make no claims of ownership all rights reserved!
All the villains are well written aside from the fallen who’s not bad per say just has the typical revenge arc but he’s still cool cause he’s wise, cunning, and patient cause can seriously fuck shit up whenever he wants to but still waits till all the pieces are in the right place.
Yah, definitely a cool choice. I love the Spock references, especially how Sentinel turns Spock's most iconic line from a hopeful one, into one with a sinister meaning. "The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few."
@@mirajulkhan8562 No, he ripped off a part of megatrons head and said he'd never work for the Deceptions but with them. In fact, his whole plan was to be in charge.
Sentinel: Optimus, all I ever wanted was the survival of our race. You must see why I had to betray you. Optimus: You didn’t betray me, you betrayed yourself. Sentinel: NO, OPTIMUS!!!
Funny, in the novel and comic, Megatron is completely honest about his truce. He is completely willing to be envision a life not being Optimus’ arch-enemy.
"Wanting something too badly can change you into something you're not." That's a quote from Ratchet and Clank, and that's exactly what happened to Sentinel Prime he wanted the survival of his race so badly it changed him
I think it is some kind of high-frequency weapon like the swords in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance but on a lot larger scale and at lower frequency, and that's why we can actually hear the vibration of the twinblades. Also the attacks are way too telegraphed, but still a heaven for my ears.
Sentinel definitely has one of the coolest mechanical details. Especially the way those holed cylinders spin in his chest when he moves his shoulders, like exposed muscles. And a lot of these designs have wheels spinning according to movements.
To be honest, I love Sentinel Prime. I love his design, his motives, just everything. Well, except for Ironhide's death, that made me sad. Edit: Also, I love how he fights off all the autobots, using his shield more for offensive then defensive in his attacks.
It’s my favorite transformer too! I don’t feel sad for ironhide’s death anymore because this makes the story of the movie and the sentinel’s story better
Sentinel was an antagonist not a villian, he had a clear objective which was save his planet not matter the cost, even if that means working with his enemies and betray/kill his own comrades. That's why it is such a good character in this franchise.
@@Anupamprime There was obviously no decepticons there, so it was quite unrealistic for ironhide to not even move his head to see what sentinel was doing
@@welcomeboi8991 but then again ironhide could have thought that sentinel was reloading his gun for the Decepticons that were coming soon?... Also if you trust someone soo much i think you won't turn around to see...
@@Anupamprime But the suspicious monologuing beforehand would have made any average being turn around And also, ironhide, being ironhide, would turn around and ask of this deal.
My favourite details are at 2:09 when he looks at Optimus like "are you seriously letting humans be in charge of you", at 8:47 him actually picking his shield and sword up, at 10:03 (onwards) look at his left eye (our right) the attention to detail it's damaged and so you can kinda see it without the blue and at 10:13 his lips actually quiver, these movies may not have the best writing but the cgi and details within the cgi are brilliant
I honestly like sentinel prime his motives were understandable but what I liked about him a lot was his choice of weapons he chose a sword that could unfold into two and a big shield
I'll be honest, I did not expect sentinel to be Evil, especially after that scene with him and Optimus on the cliff. at most I expected him to be somehow controlled by Megatron
5:40 Defenders of Earth we have come to your natural resources to rebuild our damaged planet, when we have transported all we need we will leave your world in peace, for such peace to exist you must immediately exile the Autobot rebels you have harboured, non-negotiable renounce the rebels we await your reply - Sentinel Prime (RIP Leonard Nimoy)
Sentinel was surely well written. I was mad at the part where he reveals his true colors and kills Ironhide. Ironhide is my favorite autobot too! It’s possible he killed him with no remorse and I do not forgive him for doing that.
@@themasterchiefproductions Actually, he was more of a fan for his work as Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek series. That was my grandfather's favorite show in the 1960's.
Sentinel prime is one of my favorites but he should have never join Megatron imagine Sentinel came out in aoe but alive that could have kept ironhide alive and Sentinel could have came in to save ratchet
This was an Incredible Masterpiece Video for My All Time Favorite Version of Sentinel Prime and My All Time Favorite Voice Role for Leonard Nimoy. Sentinel Prime is My Third Favorite Antagonist’s in The Transformers Film Series. I will always be grateful that Michael Bay got The Late Leonard Nimoy (1931 - 2015) to Return to The Transformers Franchise after 25 Years since The Transformers 1986 Film and Being The First Person to Bringing Megatron’s Darker Side Galvatron to Life.
I think sentinel have more experience in fight than optimus, he didn't stand a chance to sentinel if Megatron is not there this movie would've been end early 😆
Sentinel Prime wouldn't be the same in this movie without Leonard Nimoy, coming from anyone else his lines wouldn't have hit the same. Especially just before he "discharges" Ironhide.
Sentinel Prime: Raya Sisu All I wanted was the survive the way you can see why I had to betrayed you. Raya: you didn't betrayed us you betrayed your self. Sisu: Yeah Kill Him Optimus Prime!!!!!!. Sentinel Prime: NO GUYS WAIT!!!!!!!!!
Funny how sentinel didn’t see megatron as a threat at first and even ripped apart of his head off but then megatron kicked the absolute crap out of him
It was way to predictable when they show him I knew he was the main villian.was nice seeing Megatron rip him apart and says this is my fucking planet then knocks his head price off he fuching destroyed sentinel.the theater literally went berserk i never seen that in a theater.people booed after prime threw the axe in his face.i can't see primes character doing that.he saved primes life just to die by his hand.thats not in his character well in the original cartoons.and megatrons was no threat he too was injured i was hoping they made up and hugged.and give a high five.sentinel was evil more evil than megatron.ill never forget the theater erupt after he says this is my fucking planet.ofcoarce Megatron being the dick he is he has to say he wanted to be in charge prime should've just rolled his eyes like yea ok megs how's that worked out for you in the past.
@@Anupamprime I'd say Lockdown wouldn't be able to capture them if they all worked in groups, lockdown can only capture if everyone is separated and lost connection with each other in different places
I love the first fight between them when Sentinel could have killed Optimus 😩like yaaaz remind him who tf you are😈 he snuck you and expected to get over, uh uh uh☝🏽😌idts
Its cool bro, but you do not have to fully cut some scenes, let them finish their scripts first, plus the beginning u should not have cut the scene where his eye serves as the intro, it would have been good from editors
