This video took waaaay longer than I thought it would, I'm sorry I didn't detail every quarterback, I settled on every starter because professionals have standards
@@jpmnky Oh yes keep Jacoby because he beat the Panthers on a last second FG, lost to the Jets and beat Mitch Trubisky in a game much closer than the final made it look. LMAO. This is why fans don't run teams
Aquiring Watson was the best trade in the last 25 years. 26 year old top 10 QBs don't become available ever and half the teams in the league wanted him for a reason. He didn't want to play for the Texans racist owner so they made an example out of him by getting MSM to pretend like he's some convicted serial rapist even though he won ALL his criminal cases in court because the numerous Instagram massage call girls couldn't produce 1 shred of reliable evidence showing he did anything illegal. The whole woke MeToo witch hunt again Watson is ridiculous. Racists and Sexists have to twist themselves into pretzels to defend the greedy Instagram hookers. I am still waiting on the evidence but obviously it doesn't exist. The NFL attorneys could only find 4 reliable unproven accusations because the rest of them were easily debunked.
As a Longhorns fan I have a lot of love for Phil Dawson. He hit game winners in a couple of games in the mid 90s that eventually got the ball rolling on UT getting back to a top tier program by the late 90s/early 2000s.
As a Steeler fan, I am not laughing at the poor Cleveland fans who have suffered through this. But as a NFL fan, I am laughing at the ineptitude of the Cleveland franchise. Great content, by the way. Love your editing style.
The best move the Rooneys made was recoomending Jimmy Jerkoff and Desperate Dee Haslam for owners of the Cleveland Browns. It will ensure more winning seasons for them for years to come while the Browns fans get raked over the coals by two owners that should've been convicted of fraud at Pilot Flying J.
Tim Couch was not a mistake, Donovan McNabb couldn’t of done anything more than Couch under the same circumstances. Tim Couch played his butt off but he had no chance and by the 3rd year his shoulder was ruined by taking such a beating. I’ve been a Browns fan my whole life and I appreciate Tim Couch so much.
@@GeneralBuckNaked that’s why Couch is so welcome here in Cleveland he played his heart out and he’s super loyal, on a better team there is a big chance he has at least 1 ring. Dude was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Couch didn't have anybody protecting him, because Joe Thomas was not there. Couch was getting hit almost as much as David Carr was in Houston, and he didn't have the elusiveness or speed to escape that pressure. That's why he didn't do as well as That's why he didn't do as well as people thought.
@@calcaleb7041 a lot of good quarterbacks have had that issue though… like Moon and Marino and let’s not forget SF got beat by the team that would win the super bowl in 2002 and 2007… Garcia has a .500 win record in the playoffs, a dude like Dilfer is 5-1 with a ring… but we all know who the superior QB was…
I cared about the Connor Shaw start. Lots of us held watch parties for his start in SC. No joke, funny to think about now. Important thing is, his game actually wasn't that bad against the Ravens (a really solid defense btw) with an objectively terrible team around him. Stats won't show it, but he made them look relatively competitive near the end after a slow game. We were all pretty bummed when he was injured after the game. There was an inkling of promise there. A more level headed, well rounded version of Johnny Manziel. Injuries cut his career short (a dramatic one while playing with the Bears in 2016) but Shaw was an amazing college QB, and always felt like one of the players that could have been something in the NFL with the right team. Especially in that era. It's a damn shame that Manziel got so many chances in Cleveland, and Shaw got one. Even with him playing objectively smarter ball in his start.
The big difference between the Browns expansion and the Jags/Panthers was that they made the expansion draft way less beneficial, as a result of the Jags and Panthers both making the playoffs in their second season which longtime owners were furious about
i was thinking to myself " why is he using the Always Sunny in Philadelphia theme for these QBs and not the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme ?.....and then it comes to the Manziel era. * Chef's Kiss.
Lmao when the Seneca Wallace bit came on and you said "yea look at that grainy footage" I had already turned the vid down to 480p while I play League, so I was like yea the whole video been grainy lol
Not sure if another comment here mentions it but don’t forget the browns passed on Roethlisberger in 2004 for Kellen Winslow Jr. Hurts especially since he was a local guy.
I mean, there always has to be one QB like that in the AFC North. First Big Ben, then Watson… would’ve been too much pain if they were both on the Browns.
True. I maybe a bit older. I remember the great Brian Sipe! Him and that team were known as the "Cardiac Kids" because of their ability to win in dramatic fashion pulling out games in the last 2 minutes. We called them "Fantastic Finishes."
In 2006, Derek Anderson came into a game for injured Charlie Fyre, and lead the Browns to a victory over the Chiefs 31-28. It was a preview of what he'd do the following season.
I know nobody will see this on this old video, but this makes me think about that there MIGHT be a guy somewhere that was pulling for Brady during the draft, and totally knew he was the goat back then and was blown away he was taken in the 6th and not much much either. That would be a GREAT VIDEO
(the narrator was unaware Mr. James was in the Hall of Fame prior to recording that line and thus didn't think it was neccessary to look up how to pronounce it)
The way this team has been run since its return is criminal, criminal I say! Excellent vid though man, it was like a stroll down memory lane. If memory lane was riddled with pot holes and orange barrels. Kinda like Cleveland!😆
Only the Browns could trade away the farm for a QB who's then suspended for most of the season, trade away the best QB they've had in 20 years because they pissed him off so badly, and then end up starting a journeyman QB whose most noteworthy career stat was leading the league in sacks in 2017. Browns. Genius. Two words which belong in the same sentence not at all.
Well this comment is certainly not aging well. That "Best QB they've had in 20 years" has easily been replaced by a journeymen backup and the journeymen backup is doing it better. What Baker did for the Browns was unspectacular. He ran a remedial level offense that any competent QB in the league can run and do it more efficiently.
Does anyone believe that if Tom Brady had been drafted that he would have turned the Browns into a winner? It's likely that he might never have become a great quarterback after being ruined by this team.
If Belichick could have done what he did in New England I don't see why not. There is no so call "curse" on this organization like people suggest. Only a series of poor decisions that have been made. We're seeing right now that this organization can and is making good moves. I would say at this point that the Browns are a legitimate team in this league and is no longer a bottom dweller. The only question now is can they take the next step and become a consistent playoff team.
I was on a flight during that Jets/Browns game in 2018. Flight did not take off nor land in Cleveland. There was a cheer as we landed and people found out…THE BROWNS WON.
I was unaware that the jingle jangle from always sunny could ever make me want to pull my hair out and dropkick a puppy.. You have successfully done the unthinkable
7:05: The one on the bottom left is the only one I know: Jim Sorgi, who was Peyton Manning's back-up for my hometown Indianapolis Colts for many years. 10:56: The only one I sort of recognize here is - again, bottom left - who I THINK is Joe Webb.
The only person I can recognize from 10:56 is John Skelton for Arizona. I only know of him because he was mentioned when talking about terrible QB play in a Chart Party video.
Being from Massachusetts. Wow. Feel blessed and lucky with TB12 for 2 decades when something like this could happen. Hard to find QB's. Look at Jets too
As a Vikings fan the one thing that has separated the Packers from the rest of the NFC North: In 30+ years they have had only two regular starting QBs. The Vikes, Lions and Bears have gone through a ton.
@@quantumtp5872 There aren't enough good QBs to go around in the NFL. That's why a QB can be the 22nd ranked QB in the league and really just not be any better than a backup QB. I say that there are a few backup quality QBs starting in this league right now.
I couldn't imagine the potential for a part 3 this soon, but after last season? I predict a follow up by the end of next season. Also Baker Mayfield redemption arc ftw.
I love this being a die hard browns fan my first memories was wearing my tim couch jersey.... wish it was a kurk werner jersey but that cleveland for yea..
I really wonder about Tim Couch man. I really think that he was a victim of a bad culture in Cleveland and that broke him. Imagine him going to a team like Carolina or Jacksonville when they 1st came to be. But life doesn't work that way unfortunately.
Vikings fan here. That was Joe Webb. Started a game at the gophers stadium on a rock hard frozen field when the Humpty Dumpty dome caved in. Good times....
This was very entertaining. There are so many great football fans up around Cleveland that it's a shame the Browns keep shooting themselves in the foot. I say this as a Bengal's fan from when they played the original Browns.
The always sunny theme was funny but got old after the 3rd QB. Just my 2 cents, keep up the good work this channel has very solid content and is gonna pop off pretty soon
It's important to remember that Holcomb kept playing with injuries to both legs and his non-throwing arm, effectively killing both his stats and his career. And then the Browns learned from that mistake and never let a winning quarterback play injured again.
The ending is wild, now Darnold and Mayfield are battling for the same job on the same team. I'd suggest doing an edit, but by the time you do, the Browns will probably have started 4 more QBs.
As a Browns fan, that 10-7 2007 year was bliss. I seriously thought Anderson was our future. I was I upset when they benched Hoyer, he was the only other qb before mayfield I thought had a shot of being our savior
10:53. Joe Webb on the Vikings, John Skelton on the Cardinals and Zack Robinson on the Patriots. I don't know how I remember them at all... I think I played Madden franchise with Joe Webb as my starter at one point... Pay me?
Yeah. LOL. Carolina fans are already getting frustrated with Baker's play. The same poor play he showed in Cleveland. Baker's making Darnald look like a better option.
