I loved last night's session with the guys, but I really wanted to skate Marsh by myself to test this setup on a ledge. The weather was perfect, and I felt great.

I totally feel what you mean about skating with others. I love it, but I so love progressing by myself. Makes me feel like I'm working hard at something. That time to myself fine-tuning my bl8der movements is a special part of skating to me. Great vid as usual, love your progression! Much more consistent- stretching makes a huge difference!

Looks good, the extra speed you go into it makes tricks look better with a smoother exit as well. Do you usually not go very fast to minimize risk of injury or?

It depends on the obstacle. Here I skate faster because there’s good runup and it’s a long ledge.

For sure! Though I don’t roll my foot as much on switch. Wasn’t feeling soul tricks that day, probably why.

Maybe I'm thinking you're grinding switch when you're not. Haha. Anyway, your blading has gone through the roof since you started this channel. Great work!

It’s a big shift. What size is your foot? I think the length is the biggest change.

Ever think about putting something sticky on the top of the baseplate so the liner stays put better? Maybe a spray adhesive the base and add and a thin silicone mat? What ever rust you had when you started is gone.

Some fantastic grinds here! Looks real nice when you jump off at the end too as opposed to rolling off. Am I doing frontsides switch? Soul foot (right foot) at the back? Oh well. It's my safety grind right now because it's my only grind :)

I like to think of soul tricks having a natural based on foot, and frontsides having a natural based on spin. Since I look over my left shoulder for my 180, I’d do my frontside with the left foot dragging.

the "not so kind grind". those feel so twisty on a ledge. that little rail right there would help get the feeling for top souls since your foot doesnt have to angle down as much as on the ledge.

Yeah. That’s the problem making a skate that’ll fit all sizes. It doesn’t fit any sizes well.

interesting, I hate skating on my own. Just cannot do it, I love skating with a group of friends kinda getting the buzz going together someone landing something new inspires others to try new and what not. At least thats how our little group tends to skate. Is that not normal, are we weird lol?

Everyone is different. I think I’m the weird one, most people hate skating solo. But when I make a video it’s easier for me to progress and tell a story without distractions.
