Which Bankai do you want to see in the BLEACH TYBW arc anime?

I like to think that Ukitake was not healthy enough to use his Bankai. That, however, is something that would no longer hold him back in the hell arc.

Aizen's bankai ability is clearly to force it's victims to watch the Bount arc over and over again. The main villain should have to most evil one

Ukitake will go down as the most underused wasted potential in bleach. As someone who was hyped up as 1 of 3 original students and to be hand and hand with kyoroku is a shame. He was just a sacrifice at the end for hagi

Regarding yoruichi, I think her zanpakuto could be lightning based, but have a much greater disadvantage to her in the stealth division. Much like soi-fon, she would opt to develop an alternative form to using her zanpakuto.

Ukitake was said to be an equal to shunsui I hope we get to see his bankai cuz he would be an absolute beast

I think Isshin and Ukitake are going to get their Bankai revealed, most likely in the Hell arc. Regarding Aizen, I do kind think leaving his Bankai as a secret would work. Both because I feel it would be nearly impossible to make it something that people would be satisfied with and the air of mystery around Aizen is a big part of the appeal of his character.

6:30 Soifon's ability always made me laugh. her shikai is so strong, just two melee hits in the same spot (some internal cd) and youre dead. So whats the natural evolution of that? One shot from a distance. I would love to see her bankai go through a similar evo to Renji's though.

I'm hoping for the Hell Arc we at least see Yoruichi use her Zanpakto once in a scenario where it would fit perfectly. As for Aizens Bankai its practically a pipe dream at this point. Im hoping its in the Hell Arc or explained in a Data Book at the bare minimum

In regards to Aizen I think he already used his bankai but because of his deceitful nature he made everyone (including the readers) believe he only used his shikai. If his shikai manipulates the 5 senses, I think his bankai erases memory. So even if you can see through his illusion, he can make you forget that you are in one.

It's funny that Yoruichi has a Beyond Bankai in Souls but we never seen her regular Bankai 😂

Personally I think it would be a funny twist if Aizen never had a Bankai because he thought it was unnecessary and instead made illusions of fake Bankai to trick people. Not only does it show how powerful he is, but it also shows his hubris

In case of Yoruichi, i would love if the Black cat form would be her Shikai and the Thunder Beast form her Bankai. it would explain why she never uses her zanpakuto in combat, the shikai would be used as her disguise on mission while she was the captain on stealth division and she is too embarrassed to use Bankai and cant control herself in it.

Hashwalt's shrift would have been a great bankai for Ukitake. It is related to his shikai and it is also very in character.

Sometimes I just wish that Kubo had his rest for a couple of years. He should have just gone to hiatus for several years and then come back with the polished and complete story of TYBW. But it is what it is, I guess. I am still thankful to him for finishing the story, just the sorrow for how great it could have been remain and still pains me. Thankfully after all these years we have another chance with the anime adaptation. What a time to be alive

My theory for Isshin Bankai was that he turns into a samurai ghost rider

isshins proabaly be along the lines of a blood moon theme considering the flame move needed his blood.

My theory is Aizen bankai is basically bringing out the illusions he creates in to the real world. He effect's your 5 senses so his bankai could literally make you feel you have been cut even tho Aizen hasn't even swung his sword at you.

Fortunately now we have seen senjumauru use her bankai, which is absolutely insane how it works! I would love kirinji and hikifune to show theirs as well.

Ukitake sure as hell shoulda been allowed to show off what he could do more Especially with how fast he was… handled… when having his last stand. Separately, it feels a lot more Aizen-y if it was revealed he didn’t have a bankai at all. He did put most if not all the Gotei under his hypnosis, who’s to say he didn’t just make them believe he had a bankai? All so he could still flex how far above everyone else he considered himself to be

So many fans assume Aizens shikai is actually bankai but Kubo at some point should have made it evident or at least inferred. We have no reason to believe complete hypnosis isnt shikai

Aizen's bankai will most likely be revealed in the next arc when he breaks out to steal Kazui's ability to erase logic, the exact opposite of what Orihime does with her rejection.

Well since Aizen was supposed to die during the soul society arc kubo just never wrote him one that’s the real reason lol. If he did write him one I’m sure it’ll be like gremmy power to manipulate reality itself basically creating whatever he desires but the activation undoes his shikai which is a why he won’t use it.

Squad zero may have not used bankai except ichibei because they can be stolen. Ichibei dyed yhwach medallion with ink so it he could now use it

I think aizen's bankai maybe on the weakest side contrary to its shikai OP abilities, but the draw back for that is you have to meet strict conditions to use perfect hypnosis on his opponents. I think the captains already saw his bankai the only thing is that bankai's purpose is to show Kyuka Suigetsu's true form, and i think Unahana or her vice captain mentioned like it was some kind of form that defused reflection from water or fogs.

I think if Aizen's shikai is hypnosis, then his bankai would be complete mind control. Maybe he doesn't use it because he is too prideful and believe he should be able to control everyone and everything with his existing power and intelligence.

I have an idea for Aizen's bankai. Maybe his bankai can send people to a dream world like in Naruto infinite Tsukiyomi. Or it could be that there is no Bankai or Shikai to begin with. Maybe he experimented with his sword to create a power needed for his plans. Maybe it was something different than a usual zanpaktou.

Man I hope Zangetsu gets some clarification in the anime. It's my least enjoyable aspect of the ending of the series. His power is totally unexplained to the point where it detracts from the story

isshin has a reatsu equivalent to Aizen without the hogyoku it's very feasible if Isshin's bankai is almost as strong as Yamamoto's bankai. even bazzb can beat yamamoto's fire and i don't think bazz b is that strong to beat isshin. don't forget that Isshin also has his final version changes from his getsuga

As per Aizen's bankai. It may have a similar circumstances with Shinji's bankai though. It may be of use only in a specific situation. Another possibility is that it is more reflective of Aizen's hidden character. And the plot did not cater towards having the need to reveal that thus Kubo did not show them. Kubo follows the basics of managa craetion and makes the character first before puting them within the story. This method makes it that these characters have a substantial character traits and backstory already developed to some degree which may or might not come in to play depending on what the plot is currently moving. In some way its kinda similar to what a DnD campaign is. The funny part this situation is kinda a very Kubo thing, since he is the type of Guy that if you keep pestering him to do something then he probably more unmotivated to do so.

One thing I did wonder is why didn’t ichigos outfit change in true bankai because if that aspect was different maybe it wasn’t just a power amp and a sword change but he had an ability like people think either changing fate or rain

I’ve always been okay with few things left unanswered or untouched. I know people hate how Ichigo’s sisters are ignored but I’ve always been okay with them just living normal lives, and not really doing anything too dangerous that would make them a liability.

I would have loved to see Ukitake using some Mimihagis abilities.

If something like a Bankai is not revealed that does not mean it is wasted potential, lol. Not everything needs to be shown, that includes battles, Bankai, characters and other things. Sometimes less is more and more is less.

Aizen's Bankai is possibly being able to time travel to a specific point in the past, but there are permanent consequences to him, which is the reason as to why he wants to evolve into something more so that he wouldn't rely on his bankai. Perhaps the first 2 times he utilized his bankai were the only times he was able to understand how it worked, or at least how he thinks it works...

Aizens bankai is either smth like shinjis since they both Alr have similar shikai or smth like ichibeis where the enemy needs to be hit first by shikai and then bankai can be used on them

When he talks about yoruiichi not using her zanpakuto cause it may be similar to soi fon's it makes sense. But I could never wrap my head around why her bankai is like that, why does it contrast everything else she does. Just doesnt make sense to me.

in reguards to aizen and his bankai I assume given his shikai is to compleat hipnosis and he can distort a persons sense of reality if his bankai is one that actualy lets him alter reality phisicaly but because of that it doesnt just effect his targets but himself aswell. so he never sues it because there is the risk he could lose himslef to what ever chnages he makes e.g. if he was to warp reality to make them think they were stabing him but its actualy soemone else he might get lost in the illusion and actualy get staped, so sticking to his shikai which can do that anyway but with less risk would make sense

I feel like Aizen like soya azashiro had a permanently unlocked bankai and has for a long time thus why he never has call it’s name to use it. I know that’s a overly simplistic answer but makes sense to me.

Well since Aizen felt alone and wanted to be with people but is to strong maybe his bankai make him weaker. Makes his senses way worse so he is not so much above everyone.

What would even be a satisfying bankai for aizen? It would have to be worse than his shikai for his distaste for it and him simply saying that his shikai is better and more OP.

For Ukitake I’m starting to think his Bankai is probably situational or may be dangerous if they expanded on his sword’s ability to absorb energy based attack. Who knows I can see them creating something like being able to copy or steal opponents ablilites. Imagine if he is able to somehow utilize other shibigamis sword abilities

Are we sure Aizen’s Bankai isn’t like Ichibe’s? Just something that naturally blurs with his Shikai as the natural continuation of it? I always thought that complete hypnosis was the Bankai while that Shikai release was a requirement for someone to be effected by his Bankai. Just like Ichibe’s paintbrush has to mark someone before his Bankai could bestow a new name upon them

Just make Aizens bankai the same as Tsukuyomi. Instead of just taking over all senses and using illusions, it puts your mind into a completely different illusion world that feels as real as reality. While their physical body is left completely helpless.

I wont be surprised if aizen never unlocked his bankai as with his shikai he could fool ppl into thinking he has one. Or his bankai is that he can hypnotize himself or something.

Two things. I think you considered only the characters formally introduced and "active", or the most important names, otherwise the list is a little incomplete. We have at least the 3 new captains at end series, then spacing in the past, there are a lot more (from Ginrei to the old Gotei). As for Tensa Zangetsu, it's partially wrong, because we saw Ichigo's bankai in action during the final battle. After the best uncle and Orihime aided him, the zanpakuto was restored and Ichigo cut Yhwach in bankai when he arrived. It's not a real missing bankai, even if see it with HOS would have been more impressing.

I thought yoruichi doesn’t have her zanpakuto because it was a sword passed down to the leader of the shihoin clan, and when she was exiled, her sword was taken back and passed down to the next leader

Ukitake was one of my favorites but just ended up a major let down. I was hoping he could have a major fight releasing his bankai before dying. 😢

Ive always imagined that sword releases could be used to have a form that uses both shíkaî and bánkaî abilities in one form and so the character never enters the normal shíkaî or bánkaî forms or maybe even use them but can shift to the other level whilst using the usual level of power increases people assume to be apparent... Like if Yorūíchí's was Raîjín Senkéī and the whole thundercat thing so powerful it zapped her clothes at and made her act like a cat but in human form or something was her bánkaî which maybe has some Animal Path themes? Like Transformation different from hollowfication but still to do with Réīshí change in ways equivalent to Shíkaî and bánkaî which I'd imagine Tènsâ Zángètsū isnt the real name of Íchígo's true bánkaî... but hell I expect Kenny never used his REAL Bánkaî cause its probably more complicated stuff like explaining Sanpu Kenju and not having Yachiru playing around with 2 sword spirits and MAYBE Channeling both into kenny's body instead of 2 swords which could mean he just needs some means of having 2 more blades... which I dunno if Nímaîyà just makes 2 normal swords and Kenny activates Sánpō Kènjū as his Bánkaî release command... it almost feels like Yáchírū herself activated bánkaî and Kenny is Her Sword because of Him naming her the Real Kènpáchí's Name... but man the relations people have with their blades... maybe theres more to Zàrákí's Sánpo Kènjū in the souls of past blades he's wielded and maybe held onto since he took his sword of some shinigami he killed if im remembering right... I dont remember all the story but I've heard its elaborated on somewhere maybe one of the light novels... But back to what I was saying about Yoruichi's Sword Release potentially being something akin to a kídô focused Zánpákūtō which makes me wonder whether or not Ísshín's Fire version of Gètsūgâ Tènshô being some kind of constant Shákkàhô kind of attack which SEVERAL Characters mostly sublieutenant types seem to have used Kídô in learning to emit an elemental attack formation from their swords where it seems a natural ability to others without any wild kídō training required potentially... or its the way it makes the magic system feel sometimes... basically Im wondering whether or not Íchígô's meant to be turnign réīátsū to a particular kídō type generation of an element that he'd have been taught at the academy but being inherently quincy and being a shinigami with a hollow inside him hes just generating all sorts of wild colours which.... Maybe it will all be WAY simpler or Way More Complex than that... but my current thought is that the level where one merges with their blade, maybe some peolple dont need a sword to release the power of their blade because THEY ARE THEIR BLADE themselves... That is my Theory on Yoruichi with all her Raîjín Sènkéī and other abilities that scream God of Lightning with shifts to The Animal Path... and she just doesnt use a blade for her techniques maybe because of something to do with how zánpákūtō are made or something sketchy to do with Ôūètsū Nímaîyà and all the multiple zánpákūto he makes and something about OTHERS' SOULS maybe being an issue for someone that wants to truly only use their own power which might grow by holding oneself to such standards... I mean shes definitely doing SOMETHING Special with Ūràhárâ with him having prepared some kind of hypnotic means of activating what I imagine to be something akin to Yôrūíchí's bánkaî if any of this has stuff to do with learning to switch places with your sword spirit or something? I dunno I think Yorūíchí is here sword but she doesnt like to unsheath cause its embarassing so I dunno man Im mixing about 5 different headcanons of mine over the years for a laugh now hehehe But Would It Shock You if she's on that Level that Aîzèn is where you Merge with your blade and so she Litererally is her blade or something which is maybe some lightning of some divine goddess of lightning with some unusual connection to their animal path form which is part of their sword or something which they dont like using someone else's souls made into a blade or something? I always thought his bank ai was when he manipulated everyone to get Rukia killed so that he could get his hands on the hyogoku. Aizen I mean... Or he doesn't have a bankai at all. It's possible he used kyokasuigetsu to simulate a bankai. He did say that he gathered the gotei 13 and created an illusion to make them think his zanpakutou was water based.

I still believe Aizen one is one that we have 'seen' already but simply not been told about, like something that only makes sense once it is revealed, but untill then.. unknown. Reality swap, hypnosis reality (what you experience becomes reality), something along that line that only afterwards makes sense. Ichigo's is still bit annoying, since basicly it wasnt him that actualy killed him/was stronger then Ybach, it was only due the arrow that it was made possible.

Personally, i think Aizens Zanpaktou is always in Bankai, which is why it's so powerful. I mean theres nothing that could make it stronger, he has total dominance over a persons senses and no limits on how many people are affected. As for Squad zero, i wouldn't be surprised if they do not have Bankai, as they existed before Zanpaktou were created, one of them being in fact their creator. It seems more fitting that their power/skill set is different than the standard Shinigami so while they may have Zanpaktou, it may not be the source of their powers or provide much benefit to them in combat. As for Youroichi her zanpaktou is a mystery as isn't the whole point of it being a reflection of the users soul? what part of her is reflected that would force her not to use it at all? My money is on her ability to turn into a cat, as it is pretty useless in Combat which would make sense why she wouldn't even bother to have it on her person while fighting to use in case of emergency.

if all the captains are said to have bankai, can we presume the new captians of the gotei 13 at the end of the series have bankais as well? Or is it just a "short staff and needed new captains lol" kinda deal?

I don’t think her shikai is sowing really fast I believe that’s just an ability of her’s because it never ever says anything regarding her sword and I believe like in Nimaiya’s case they are using a sword that isn’t they’re zanpakutou

If anything, Aizen manipulating/distorting time perception can point to his potential bankai ability. Since timewarp has got nothing to do with the 5 senses and he's fused with his zanpaktou. Not to mention the hogyouku's maturing time was "sped up off screen".

So Yoruichi's Bankai will probably have something to do with a cat. She is the only character to be shown able to turn into a Cat or any animal. Transfiguration is probably her Shikai.
