Great player - such positive energy. J.L.J. always looks like he is having a blast. Loving the tree-trunk coffee table. Always enjoy your videos brother. Pedal is impressive-too. oNe LovE from NYC
I clicked on this because I'm looking into the KMA Pylon for my new EVH 5150iii Iconic 40watt Combo because it's a little noisy. And here it is. That in itself is awesome. Hell maybe boi
Dude, your explaining everything and how to hook up the pedal correction awesome. Some people don't usually explain so much and just demo the pedal in different settings and amps which is kewl. I just subscribed. I was hoping for more metal/meshuggah tones (but thats just my taste for a noise gate) and there's so many genre's to cover and wants that it's impossible to cover everything and you covered plenty. I watch a lot of videos and base my pedal buying opinions off of the videos because a lot of these pedals aren't available to try before buying. So you, The Pedal Zone and Riffs, Beards and Gear are my new top 3. Good job duder! Also, there's a baritone guitar player for metal I watch a lot but I can't think of his name and that makes me feel bad lol. Also, Dan Explains It All. + Ola England. Sorry, my adhd gets the best of me sometimes with long nonsense texts. Hell Maybe.
Dude... your videos are ART much like your playing! Just floored! That EVH like Cathedral mixed with that Edge like Sunday Bloody Sunday delay effect was... KILLAH!!! Love the choice of the Iconic 5150 for the pedal platform amp... I've been hailing that AMAZING amps laurels since I picked up the 80 watt head about a month ago! 😎🎸🤘
I saw that 80 watt head sitting in the shop too!! It looks super epic sitting on a 4x12 as well: they definitely did nail the look of those amps really well! First time playing one and it definitely was a lot of fun :)
@JayLeonardJ Yeah... very impressive features for the money... sounds great... and even had a totally usable clean tone, reverb, boost, effects loop, good noise gate... presence and resonance... gain for days... only wish it had distaste eq... but Howard (one of the designers) is planning a mod fix for that in the near future! 🤘
I just purchased a pylon from Thomas !! . I also have the Klirrton schnauze ,would love to see your opinion on this pedal, very expensive and I find it’s cutting my sustain!!! Thanks 🙏!!
I’ve seen reviews that say the Klirrton doesn’t cut sustain,I find that it does!! I’m using a jcm800,plexi,and silver jubilee not playing heavy metal, I just want to cut the noise of these amps!! The best one I still own is the decimater g string!! The pylon seems to be working pretty well also, only used it three times so far!!
Do you like the 5150, Jay? I’m retiring a ‘91 Peavey classic-50 4x10 & looking for a new gigging-amp. I was thinking an Ac-30, but I like the looks of the amp you’re playing today & it may eliminate the need for me to buy a high-gain pedal. You’re a great player, man. ☮️
It is tons of fun. I don't really play high gain amps that often and this one really has a really exciting lead channel (a little goes a LONG way). Clean sound is really balanced and natural. A really lovely amp to play!
I actually made it :) It was an old Amp Foot pedal and a red momentary switch I bought at my local electronics store. Any momentary footswitch would work just fine though
Just got my Pylon in the mail, has anyone else had an issue with the blue LED staying on even after switching the pedal off? Mine is acting weird but I’ve only used it for a few minutes. Going to do some troubleshooting, hoping for some advice. Thanks!
@@threepe0Yeah, the JVM for example does that. That's what the "boost" is for. In the loop it acts as volume, not signal. So you can easily level it out again (:
