Why don’t Christians keep Old Testament Law?

The reason some so called Christians are against God Laws, is because they love SIN. Sin is the transgression of God's Law, 1st John 3:4. God's Law tells us not to commit adultery, not to murder innocent people, not to steal, not to drink blood, not to prostitute your daughter. Etc. Obviously those who teach against God's laws are trying to promote adultery, homosexualliry, drinking blood, prostitution, murder, stealing, tattoos etc. We didn't end up with Christianity being like Sodom and Gomorrah by accident. Even having homosexual pastors.. It is the planned fruit of the pastors and teachers who have taught against God's Law.

For some reason, I am very irritated with this explanation. It seems to me as if this idea is twisted more than any other to promote lawlessness, and 100% of the justification to believe this line of thinking in the first place comes from the apostle Paul. You're "set free" but then to live righteous lives, but then, you are saying the law of righteousness is done away. "Don't follow the law, just love each other" is the opposite of what Jesus said when he said "because of lawlessness, the love of many shall wax cold". This contradicts the message in Matthew 5:17-20. This contradicts the ideas present throughout all prophecy that with the establishment of the kingdom and the initiation of the messianic age, temples will be built, and there will be a kingdom that follows the laws and ordinances that Moses enacted. This seems to me like the way it is presented, you are justifying sin, which would be things like the least of the commandments, such as eating pork or shellfish. On a greater level, things like adultery or male homosexuality. So then, you "just love people" and instead of actually walking in Torah, you then will just "make up" your moral standard, picking one thing and getting rid of another, a problem that is the core backbone of the moral degradation of society. You are breaking the "least" of the commandments in Torah, and teaching others to do so also, which Jesus talked about in the before mentioned verse as reducing rewards in heaven. So then, people, taking this line of thinking as justification, will make up all sorts of "lines" as to what applies, and what does not. Some of it is biblical, such as in Acts 15. However, some of it, people are just making things up. One group, the sabbath is ok to break, to another it is not. One group does not tithe, and another things lack of tithing is for the sinners but that same group thinks homosexuality is ok. Christianity has become invaded by critters from the swamp of lawlessness and they all need to repent and simply turn back to God in their hearts, which leads to words, which leads to actions - myself and yourself included. All of us have gone astray. If the Torah isn't important for the future, why are people keeping it biblically in the new heaven and the new earth, such as in Isaiah 66 when, looking upon the corpses of those who have transgressed against the YHVH, people meet from one sabbath to another, and from one new moon to another? Why are ALL nations keeping the Feast of Tabernacles in Zechariah 14 post second coming if the Law isn't important? How is the Law written into our hearts (like in Ezekiel 36) yet we do not actually follow it, or even know what it says? This is what was referred to by Jesus when he said to the Pharisees, quoting Isaiah: "These people draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, teaching as doctrine precepts by men." Enough of my response for now. I think that you are massively off and there are errors in your teaching.

Throughout the New Testament, there are many verses that state when Jesus died on the cross, the Old Testament died with him. We no longer have circumcism nor do we respect the Sabbath.

Jesus came not to destroy the law but to fulfill it. That doesn't make the Old Testament law go away. It simply proves how Jesus came as a living example of faithful obedience to God so we may learn what seeking righteousness looks like.. in my opinion. If we as believers of Jesus all believe in the monotheistic concept of life, then we believe in 1 God, 1 Messiah, and 1 Holy Spirit. Base line established... if there is 1 Jesus and we as His followers belong to Him as part of His body (the church), why do we allow such unrighteous division within the body? How far we fall by the hand of the enemy's devices of distraction like politics, tradition, and basic corruption. Jesus is the vine, and we, the branches... how many branches will be cut away over this division? We, as the church, waste precious time disputing doctrine rather than live in faithful obedience in the purity of God's law; love. Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Yet so many spend 30 years surviving on the milk of the word and never leave the bottle to live in righteousness as faithfully obedient children of God we claim to be. Why should others come to the cross when this body has been made corrupt by our own weaknesses. This is a call to return to God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Can you tell me what you see as OLD covenant and what you see as NEW covenant ?. Reading verses about covenant please be consider the added “OF THE” … For example the blood OF THE covenant… the ark OF THE covenant…the Mediator OF THE covenant… the tables OF THE covenant… and even the words written on the two tables of stones are called as words OF THE covenant… but OF WHICH covenant?. You know any verse without having “OF THE “”” to make clearly what is the covenant? I am asking to see if you know the covenant. In bottom line, Christianity today trough the churches and political agendas has decided what to teach and believe and tries to justify that belief with weak point verses. He just told the opposite with strong verses, and from Jesus himself when he walked this Earth that to follow the laws and commandments. I never understood antinomianism. So how do we run a nation without God's law? Criminals go free and murderers go free. Why? The law cannot save but lawlessness will destroy. This is an entire other can of worms but.. how could we be in the New Covenant if the laws aren't in our minds and written on our hearts? That definitely has not taken place yet. I also noticed you removed the beginning of verse 34 "And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying 'know the lord', for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord..." I dont know if you intentionally did that or didn't have enough space but VERY important never to remove text from scripture because it can cause misinterpretation and false teachings. When Christians get sick and die prematurely and cry why God, well the answer was in Leviticus. You all say the laws are a burden, but God says they are so your days maybe long and abundant. How do you love god what happened with the first 4 commandment Paul, when he read that letters was for people who actually keeping the law know where, in the Bible says, do not keep the law Jesus die for the law Jesus abolish the law we’re saying a Bible God, abolish the law God, he make the law God he’s the law his character

Plus God is only for his children the Israelites whose in captivity at this point in America n others in the 4 corners of the earth in bondage by their oppressors

so basically christians say the way to follow Jesus is to NOT do what he would do? coz Jesus used to follow the laws of God .. like all the other prophets ...its only some guy called Paul who started teaching you all to abandon the law .. you just need any excuse to go do whatever you want ... get real - you not following God or Jesus

Dear sir, you do not understand the biblical teachings concerning the law, the dietary law, the sanctuary ministry, the old testament or the new testament. Before attempting to expound on God's word to others, you need to understand it correctly yourself first. You are doing more damage than good.

We believers are GRAFTED into ISRAEL. The old covenant is still valid. Not Moses laws and Talmud, but all the Torah and Prophets. The ceremonial laws and sacrificial laws were fulfilled. This guy is doubletalking. Look further for good doctrine
