We drove our misbehaving 48re transmission down to ATS Diesel to have them diagnose the failures and to rebuild the transmission for more abuse!

ATS had purchased one for a 04 cummins stage 5 always had a problem since day one the truck was under 500hp to the crank. Put a Suncoast problem solved

I got me a 2006 ram1500 4x4 5.7l. Does anyone knows if a 2005 Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 transmission fit on it?? I see the engine and everything is the same. It I’m just not 100 percent sure if the 2006 has a different trans

When you going to give us an update on that ATS Transmission build? Do you like it? Was it worth the $$$? or did they give it to you as a sponsor?

The Transmission runs awesome! Totally worth the money. This Transmission gets used and abused, If you watched the precursor video to this one, it was being built for an 800hp daily driver / weekend warrior tow truck. Only "Issue" (if you could even call it that) was the expected higher trans temps due to the high line pressure, which was fixed with a BD Diesel Xtrude Double Stack trans cooler. This Winter I drained the oil and pulled the pan to see if there was any visible material or burnt smell after running it hard all Summer, and there was non... so I just buttoned it up and reused the same oil I drained out.

Yeah I concur wholeheartedly. I wanted to watch the teardown, but had to discontinue after 1:20. Just couldn't take the ANNOYING AS HELL music any longer. And gave it a thumbs down for that reason alone.
