Joao Almeida and Adam Yates dominated on Villar Sur Ollon on Tour de Suisse stage 7 and 8, both UAE riders finishing 1-2 on both days and in the overall classification. In the Tour de Suisse Women Demi Vollering won stage 1 and 2 mountain time-trial with Gaia Realini, Elisa Longo Borghini, Kim Cadzow, Urška Žigart and other riders performing at a high level.

Saw a comment elsewhere from someone who believes Niedermaier is not quite finding her limits yet. I was floored by how chill she was crossing the finish line in the TT. Looked like she was nose-breathing, didn't collapse off the bike at all, was smiling soon after but she did the 2nd fastest T2-finish. Think she has a lot of upside.

Yes great climber and still super young. Big negative split by her today, Probably could've finished even higher with more aggressive pacing.

I'm very curious te see how UAE are going to use their crazy mountain train in TDF. I hope their tactic will be more thought through than in MSR. Just rocking up with 4 top tier climbers isn't gonna win them the race ....
