I always thought that Batman and the cops were the first to arrive at the bar. Then Joker and the rest of the villains arrived without notice the cops because all of them were undercover
That's a case of "Even Evil Has Standards". The other villains might want to get Batman, but they are sickened at the idea of killing Catwoman just to spite him.
@@supersonicheroesAnd in such a disgusting, gruesome way. The Penguin, Ivy, and Two-Face may be violent criminals with Machiavellian tendencies, but they're also professionals on some level. Something like that would be considered needlessly barbaric, cruel, and just downright inhuman.
The funny thing I get from this episode is that Batman is Croc, and in Croc-Bat's view, the closest anyone of them ever got to killing Batman is when Croc threw a big rock at him. So...could it be that, from Batman's own view, the closest anyone of them at that table got to killing him is when Croc threw a big rock at him one time? Because that would be hilarious, with all these other villains thinking that their over-the-top attempts were the closest, when the closest anyone ever really got was when Croc threw a big rock at him once.
Well straightforward, and unlike the others it wasn't a big deathtrap that he could easily escape. It was a BIG rock flying straight at him. Batman, good as he is, is still human and THAT could indeed kill him.
+Ryan Dartez Or how about this? *Penguin:* Prepare to meet your end in my Aviary of Doom! *Ivy:* Aviary of WHAT? *Joker:* Sheesh, Penguin, how corny can you get? Better still, during "The Trial" we get this gem. *Scarface:* Court is now in session! The Good People of Arkham Asylum vs. the self-righteous vigilante called Batman! Our prosecutor is ready, likewise our fair and impartial jury! *Mad Hatter:* Hang him! *Harley: * Shoot him! *Croc:* Hit him with a rock!
Croc throwing a rock at Batman came later on from this episode. That was an episode later in the BTAS series, called "Sideshow". But I've heard the reason the producers did that was because of this episode where the fake-Croc talked about almost killing Batman that way.
@@sabishiihito I think Selena and Penguin are the only villains on this show who don’t go to Arkham (and Clayface since he’s never captured in the series)
MrMisterman1 Most certainly. If you have a problem with my puns and I assume you do because of that little face thing you done prior to the 'Really' then that's just a real shame.
I remember the first time I saw this scene and Batman was revealed to be disguised as Croc, I was like "HOLY SHIT!". Then I was like, "No way now he can top this", then he snapped his fingers and I saw all the cops train their guns on the villains. "Okay that did it". I also love Joker's reaction to Batman's voice, looked like he shit his pants. Probably should've worn brown instead of purple.
The only way they were allowed to get away with having realistic guns in the show was by setting it in a 1930s retro world. Network execs said they had only two options- modern Gotham with ray guns like Superman TAS did, or retro Gotham and realistic guns.
Just think of how sick Joker's plan is; kill Catwoman, have her remains ironically put in cat food, and send it to Batman, who is romantically involved with her
(All the cops pull their guns out. One cop pulls a RPG from behind the bar. On the side of the round it says "Got 'em") Gordon: No, Francis! Francis:...(looks at Gordon)...ok. Joker: =\
Look at the guns used during that sequence at the end, mostly the pistols. Standard models for cops, yes, but then you see two revolvers. Only two. And they belong to Gordon and Bullock, the commissioner and veteran detective of the GCPD. I'm getting an old-school, badass cowboy from the wild west vibe with those two branding those weapons over everybody else. Am I the only one?
I feel like one aspect unique the the original series that I can't recall any sequel series using was his absurd disguise ability. There's this, there's a rich dude he impersonated in Cape and Cowl, and even Robin does it once masquerading perfectly as Batman to keep Bruce clean.
I can tell from the expressions on those other villains faces that the joker is not only crazy but he’s sick. I mean come on he’s trying to mince meat cat woman he really is crazy. And that can scare some people sometimes.
Honestly (and this might just be my Joker fanboy talking) he totally might have known, but decided not to say anything because he knew it would be hilarious.
0:31 LMFAO Ivy and Croc's faces though. Ivy looks like she accidentally shat herself and hoping no one smells it and Croc's got the most epic derp face I've ever seen
I don't know why but I find the Joker extremely attractive in this episode. Not sure if it's about the art work or his cool way of owning other villains.
You know what I love about this more than anything else? How the villains are visibly disturbed by what Joker is going to do to Catwoman. It really sells just how truly sadistic and evil the Joker really is, when even the other kill-happy maniacs are disturbed by what he does.
Honestly, probably the funniest thing about this episode is just the fact that Batman apparently just has a Killer Croc costume in storage for a rainy day. If Joker is to be believed, it's implied that he had very recently escaped the scene of his "Almost got 'em" story...so Batman must've already had the disguise pre-made before he'd even needed it. I guess Batman was glad to finally have a use for that Croc-skin and all those long hours practicing his Killer Croc impression lol.
You know, this is actually quite wholesome when you think about it! Just four(five including Batman/Killer Croc) friends playing cards, chatting, hanging out. And when one of them gets in trouble, the other three don't hesitate to-in a way-stick up for them. They also happen to all be psychos(to bring down the wholesome meter).
What makes this reveal on the best is Croc being revealed as Batman in disguise, then after the criminals corners him, you wonder how he's going to get out of that situation, then right before you are finishing "wondering", the whole police force turns out to be the entire cast of background characters the whole time lol😅
They were also smart to not drop too many clues that it was Batman in disguise other than when Two Face Said they actually let him keep the giant penny. It shows what makes this one of the best episodes of the Animated Series and in my opinion making this Batman the greatest of all time
