Alpine Type R SWR-1023D. I owned this back in the day, sold it, and now it's back to me. I beat this thing to death while I owned it. Happy to see it's still running , although a little loud.
The type R and even type S is a good all-around sub for playing music. No real strengths but no real weaknesses either. Maybe a strength is that it's versatile and sounds good in almost any enclosure. Some subs just sound bad playing everyday music because they were just designed to move back and forth as aggressively as possible to create as much pressure and air movement as possible which doesn't translate to good tonal/musical quality. The alpines are a great balance of sq and spl.
i got that in a vented enclosure and im very impressed with it .plays low and loud for a 10 inch and very accurate also.going on 7 years now in my daily driver
